A nice quiet setting. The grounds are well-maintained. The bar option food was very good as well as the Sunday night barbecue. Our room was large and very comfortable and clean. We would like to return.

We love Club Fiji Resort located right on Nadi bay our room was only 20 metets from the beach. In our opinion its the most authentic Fijian resort in Nadi. Staff ectremely friendly and helpful in all aspects wherther booking a tour or a getting a ride. Loved it so much we cancelled a future reservation at the Westin so,we could comeback and visit our new friends. If you cant make it out to the outer islands and want the Fiji experience book here and you wont be disappointed, and say hello to Duri, Abdul, and the rest of their team. Glen2 and Della M.

We stopped in Fiji because we were enroute to Sydney from LAX and wanted to adjust to the time difference in a low key place. This hotel was just right. Off the beaten track with it's own coconut grove facing a scruffy beach. We enjoyed our porch facing the ocean, but we're surprised the buildings were duplexes with boards separating the 2 outdoor spaces, and acoustical privacy was not 100% indoors . I was quite surprised when I handed 3 stamped Post cards to the man at the desk as we checked out, asking they be mailed, and he eventually read them, commenting on them, as we sat nearby waiting for our taxi to the airport.....weeks later those cards have still not made it to the USA!
It's relaxing and cute but don't go there for the beach! The people are good, fun, and nice.
Breakfast is very poor..... Wifi very expensive...
The biggest drawback is the location. This beach is called Wailoaloa in Fijian, which means black black (really black) water basically mud flats. There is nowhere to swim, and watersports are only possible at high tide, which is few hours a day. The snorkeling trip is waste of time. The hotel is also very remote, there is absolutely nothing nearby, just a swamp. The restaurant is good but pricy. Chinese restaurant in Nadi is half the price for twice the taste, but the taxi to town is F$16 roundtrip. Entertainment is worth seeing once. Plenty of coconuts. This is basically a stopover place for treckers and those not seeking more than warm sun due to being so close to the airport. We ended up booking trips to neighboring islands to make it worth our while.

Great place to stay if only going for a few days, I do not recommend more than that. They have a nice beach and it's very quiet. Simple is the best way I can describe it.
So, we stayed twice in this resort on the way to and from Australia, mostly because it was close to the airport and Denarau marina from where we were able to take snorkeling trips to the reef. As I wrote before, there is no usable beach or swimming in the sea because of mud. Wailoaloa means "black water" in Fijian. The surf stirs up black mud and the sea is shallow for a hundred yards, so turns black. Some people just sit by the pool, but we felt like hotel was misrepresented as we came to Fiji for the white sandy beach and swimming in clean sea.
Why people go to Fiji? We went for swimming in the warm sea and basking on the beach. You will NOT get that at Club Fiji Resort. The sea is mud and the beach is grey sand. At low tide, which is most of the day, the sea retreats 100 yards, so you cannot even use kayaks. Snorkeling trips are a joke - 5 people per day max and there is no fish there. But, there is plenty of coconuts, and you need to watch for them not to fall on your head (didn't happen to us). We've had coconuts in all stages of ripeness and shape and form, and fresh off the trees. Airport shuttle is one-way; must pay taxi for return. Breakfast is basic but suffices. Dinner food is ok but pricey. Chinese restaurant in Nadi is a fraction of what they charge. Overall, resort is ok IF it were on the USABLE beach. If you want beach, go to Coral Coast, Natadola. It will set you back some $$, but you will get what you came to Fiji for.
