They allowed a huge party to go on on my floor until 4:00 am despite calling the front desk twice once at 1:30 am and again at 3:00am complaining. Needing a good nights rest before a 15 hour drive didn’t happen as I was only allowed a few hours of interrupted sleep at best. One of the worst hotel experiences I ever had and I stay at a lot of them for work.
Very bad check in experience. The clerk didnt really seem to care about thr issue. She just blamed it on the earlier shift. Room was old but ok. I got what i paid for.
It was ok but the breakfast was empty most of the time and we had a ripped comforter on our bed.
I usually stay at the Marriott in Lufkin but couldn't this time and was very impressed at the facility and the room. Extra Big shower, no tub. Great, comfy, king bed aligned with the TV. Big TV. Very nice. Very quiet. I slept well. And a Kuerig machine in the room for the next morning's coffee.
Our stay here was decent for what it's worth. Not much to choose from in the area. However, this holiday inn express doesn't compare to the one that I stayed in at lake Charles so I was a little disappointed walking through the door.
Nice hotel and friendly, helpful staff. When there was an issue with our door lock not remaining locked, we were moved quickly to another room. Only negative was not being able to find a luggage cart to unload at check-in.
load A/C, no door gasket so you end up hearing every thing in the hallway. Pluming noises were annoying. They have nice gym. Receptionists were very nice.
My wife and I really enjoyed this motel. We were attending a church camp meeting and the motel is right across the road from the camp grounds. The room was spacious with a king-size bed and sleeper couch. The private balcony with a table and 2 chairs was a neat surprise. Great Breakfast! The entire staff was very nice and helpful.On the down side: I did not like having to "prepay" for the room. My credit card was charged several months before my stay. I was overcharged for tax [...] and am still waiting, to have the money credit back to my card. The room was very nice, but I djd have to ask for several items to be attended to. Also, there is limited parking by the motel. We would stay here again and have already recommended to other people.
