upon arrival we noticed this apartment wasn't like the ones in the photo the only photo that was true to what was on there was the picture of the restaurant over the road. Photo's from outside where taken of another property by the looks of things another family member who lives in the next road. Very noisy and busy road with lots of cats about. Travelled to other places most days as didn't really like the area.
as soon as we arrived Peter was around and he made us feel so welcome . he showed us to our room and told us where to find him at any time if we needed anything else. The room was the perfect size and the kitchen had the main things we needed for a short holiday. Would be great to have microwave as well but what we had was good enough. The shower was the part that we felt a bit let down , not to fault the owners in any way but I believe the curtains need an upgrade as they look a bit old and over used. Saying this they were lovely and they did not complain by the amount of colour they would get daily on one the towels due to the red dye on my hair , so for this reason I have still decided to give them 5 stars. Peter was quickly to obring over a iron when requested and he even came the day before we left and ask if we needed a taxi to be booked for us next day. Cleaners did a superb work daily. the location is perfect to walk to Ornos beach or to the bus stop that can take you to Mykonos town.
We stayed here for just one night as we were catching the ferry over to Paros. We arrived quite late but Peter and another lady who's name we did not catch were waiting for us. They put us at ease as soon as we arrived and immediately made us feel welcome. It is also conveniently located for the beaches on either side and there are some nice bars, shops and restaurants, all within a very short walking distance. We were late for the ferry the next morning due to a mistake on our part and Peter did not hesitate to take us to the port and he even got our tickets sorted for us so we did not miss our ferry. The room itself was ideal. It's quite small but has everything you need and is really clean. We really enjoyed our time here and it was a great start to the holiday. We stayed here on the 31st of May 2017.
The apartments are just 5 minutes away from both Ornos and Korfos beach. If you were taking a public transport, then get down at Korfos bus station and walk in the direction of Ornos beach and the apartment is about 2-3 minute walk. There is a 24 hour bakery nearby and a supermarket just across the apartments. There is a small sitting area outside every room, so one can sit out as and when needed. Peter is very friendly, he explained the things nearby and direction etc. He even dropped me to the ferry terminal, as the taxis were busy, on the day of my checkout. One shortcoming in the trip (why i gave a 4 stars rather than 5 stars), had requested an airport transfer to Peter, however i didn't see any vehicle, so had to manage my own transfer from the airport.
We were very hot and tired when our transfer dropped us off but after being greeted personally by Peter as if we were old friends we immediately felt better. Peter and Vicky showed us to our studio. We could not fault it. Safe; aircon; plenty of storage (and hangers) and very clean and roomy. The kitchen area was well equipped, however, we eat out all the time so don't actually use it other than to put our water in the fridge. The beds were comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water for showers. We were on the first floor (No 22) and the stairs and corridors were well provided with 'press as you go' lighting. Our rooms were serviced everyday and the towels were changed every day too. We could not fault it and if we went to Mykonos again we would definitely stay at Peters. Vicky helped us when we had difficulty making a phone call and on our last day, Peter and Vicky took our cases into their home (we had a late flight) and then when we came back from the beach we were provided with a shower room to shower and change. Our transfer was due on the last day at 7pm After we had showered Peter provided us with a shady place to sit. At 7.15pm no sign of our transfer and we were getting a little twitchy deciding we would give them until 7.30 and then try to ring them. We need not have worried as Peter must have been keeping any eye out as he came out to say he had telephoned the transfer company and they were on their way - I think he had read them the riot act - we felt looked after and was glad he had been there. Peter gave us useful information about the bus service suggesting we get it at the beach as then we would definitely get a seat. The location of Peters is perfect as only a few minutes walk to the beach which is lovely and sandy and the sea is lovely - went in every day. There is a water taxi from Ornos to all the other beaches and the bus service is excellent to Mykonos town etc. We found Mykonos expensive up to other Greek Islands. In Ornos 2 sunbeds and brolly 15-18 Euros, but in Elia you have to pay 40 Euros. We had breakfast at the bakery on the corner often - lovely crepes; sandwiches etc and the local restaurants have a good selection on the menu for evening dining.
This was my 3rd visit to peters over the last 5 years. Vicky and Peter work so hard and are always on hand if you need them. Rooms are basic but are extremely clean and spacious. Bedding and towels changed daily. Bathroom small, shower typical Greek shower but no different to any other basic apartments in Greece. The owners are of some of the nicest people I've ever met.
We had a bit of trouble finding it as hired a car and had no map or directions. From airport we followed signs to ornos, down hill, to roundabout, took road signposted to ornos beach. Fabulous bakers on corner. It's located on right hand side, past atm machine on left hand side, before the ornos mini supermarket. if you get to Porto ornos restaurant , you have gone too far down road! Peter and Vicky are lovely. So helpful. Made sure we had a parking space outside our door. We had ground floor studio, facing road own outside table and chairs but in shared space. The upstairs have own balconies. If you shut the shutters on outside it does block out a lot of noise. It has free wifi, free air conditioning and a free safe so really good value. Our studio was cleaned everyday and beds made. The towels smelled lovely!! It has a very basic self catering kitchen, typically Greek but suited us. The bathroom has shower, again, very Greek but if you made sure shower curtain was inside tray, the water didn't cause too much of a flood! There was a tv in room which picked up BBC world news on lower tv channel. Ideally located, short walk from beach and near lots of restaurants . It doesn't have a pool which is a shame but we knew this when we booked . It really is a lovely located and very well run studio block, really good value. Looked like it had been recently decorated. The beds were comfy but only had one pillow each. Fortunately there were 3 beds in ours so husband got the spare third pillow! The cheap price meant we could spend our money on other things such as food! (Mykonos is a bit more expensive overall than your usual Greek island) . One of the nicest studios we have stayed in when travelling to Greece. Would have got 5/5 if it had a pool!!!!
Only a ten minute drive from the airport these studios provide everything you need for a relaxing beach holiday. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Peter and shown to our studio by Vicky. They were both very friendly and made us feel welcome. The modern studio was clean and spacious with kitchen area, plenty of utensils/crockery and lots of storage space. The air conditioning and safety deposit box were included in the price which is a great bonus. There was also a tv and digital alarm clock. We had a ground floor studio leading to a patio area with table and chairs. The room was cleaned every day with clean towels also provided daily. Bedding was changed every other day. Peters studios are in a great location which is quite peaceful so no trouble sleeping at night. The beach is only a 3 minute walk away where there is also a bus stop if you want to catch the bus into Mykonos town. There is a fantastic supermarket across the road which sells everything you could possibly need. I was surprised to find they even sold gluten free products which was great for me. The lady in the supermarket was really lovely and very helpful. There are also a number of tavernas close by. Our return flight home was not until the evening and Vicky very kindly provided a safe place for us to leave our suitcases during the day and a bathroom for us to shower and change before our pick up. This meant we could enjoy a full last day of our holiday. I would definitely recommend Peters studios and would like to thank Peter, Vicky and the family for their wonderful hospitality and for making our holiday so enjoyable
The accommodation was perfect for us everything at hand just a few shops the beach and Mykonos town was so accessible. Peter and his wife were welcoming and attentive To the point that they wouldn't clean the room until we had left for the day. They took us back to the airport and I would happily revisit. Although basic it is a high standard, air conditioning balcony and daily clean sheets and towels everything in working order and nothing negative to say at all. Enjoy!!!
Back from a 4 night stay at Peters studio. Location perfect as described in other reviews with plenty shops, small takeaway place amongst a wide range of eating places (wicked kebabs €2.80) on your doorstep..Basic accomodation with fridge and air cond too...Take a hairdryer as none in the rooms, our only grumble was the 'shower' and probably best described as a wet room! Everywhere got wet through whilst showering and the water was like sea water, hard to get a lather up! Fresh towels everyday and room cleaned daily.Supermarket great over road for basics and the bakery is a must!! pastry and cake heaven, delish!! Ornos is fairly expensive but its location is worth it, the seafood bar is pretty chilled place to sit and watch the boats. The sea front bars play chilled music by day and night. We found the very far bar to the rightside cheapest for beer €4.50 for 500ml local beer. We hired a quad bike €20 a day but this varies from place to place( good fun though!! ) to cruise the island and also walked to Mykonos (30 min walk) which is pretty but very busy. We would recommend it for a short break but there are many more islands we woul like to visit .Peter & Vicky were so friendly and took us to the airport when we couldnt get a cab...The airport is 10 mins away but SMALL and no aircon!! On the whole a nice break 😀
