No reception, had to call to get a kind girl who came to give us the keys. the room is realy small, the bathroom is a bath but not a bathroom ... the window opens to a closed tunel & from there if you leave the window open, you here what happens in the other rooms. Never go there again
The location of this hotel is excellent, it's quite central, near the windmills and thus there is space for car parking, several restaurants and lots of shops are on the nearby streets. I stayed in a downstairs single room and while it was not expensive it was a little minimalistic. The bed was fine but all I got was the bed and room, there is no reception and to get your key you have to call the owner in advance. The room was cleaned daily as was the bathroom. One big disadvantage was that the streets can be noisy with locals riding motorbikes. The streets are narrow and thus the noise the bikes make echoes up and down the streets and when your window opens right onto the street this gives you a free 3 am alarm call, which is annoying if you'd like a lie-in. Would I stay again / recommend this to someone: No.
Great location. You will be a two minute walk from all 3 big buses that take people to the major 3 party spots. Don't be scared to take the bus -- everyone takes the bus to the major party spots and you'll meet lots of fun people who are there to travel, party, and socialize on the buses. The apartment is also in the heart of the Old Town area with lots of good restaurants, tons of people, beautiful scenery, beautiful people, souvenir shops. Please note, you will not be immediately next to a swimmable beach (you'll need to take a bus to the major beaches). You can rent a scooter for 20 euro a day from right across the street. Grab delicious Greek food for 3 euro from right across the street. The cons: 1) it was hard to get in contact with the owner. 2) the owner wouldn't give us more than one copy of the key. Even if you have three people in the room, they will only give you one copy.
Due to lack of research, this place is NOT a hotel so we couldn't find it and had to call. We see that it is several residential plots refurbished for rent so you location can be one of many. You DEFINITELY need to call beforehand as there is no reception, just the owner and his cellphone. He was very friendly and helpful so you can rely on him for advice. There's nothing good to say about the rooms at all, besides the perfect location of being right inside Town, close to everything! Expect a very simple room, tiny bathroom, a stove with cutlery available, and small balcony for a fairly high price.
So, you had to wait 30 minutes? Try 19 hours. The number I had been given was unrecognised and when I tried to call Laterooms, who I booked it through, I was on hold for 10 minutes, 3 times before being cut off. I had to find somewhere else to stay, and it was only because the receptionist there used her contacts in the Tourist Office that I managed to find another number. After a heated argument they agreed to let me have the room that I had paid for. The room was basic, meaning that air conditioning vents were missing, towels were taken away for washing and not returned till the next day, hot water was very hit and miss. Overall, would not go back!!
Very nice clean accommodation in excellent location. Our room was in the centre of Mykonos town. There are bussers to other parts of the island within a 2min walk. Shops, resturants, bike hire, amazing views and a small uncrowded beach are all within a few minutes walk. We had a verry nice time here. When you arrive in Mykonos, call the hotel, DO NOT walk around trying to find it. You will not find it as it is not marked at all. George came to meet us, showed is to the room and was very helpful.
I totally loved my stay there ! Hotel is located in the very center of Mykonos town, in the heart of all night life and shopping area. We enjoyed all the night life (it's even better than we ever heard...) and the easy access to the beach since bus stop is so close to the hotel. Room was nice and surprisingly big enough, very clean, with all necessary facilities such as air-condition, WC-bathroom, standard amenities. Impressive that although so centrally located, place was quiet and we could enjoy our sleep and privacy. Really a good value for money !!! I would stay there again and I totally recommend it for those who would like to combine nice summer vacation with night life and low budget accommodation with good standards.
We booked this hotel for 6 nights but stayed only one night. Had we arrived earlier in the day, we wouldn't have stayed even the one night. A few facts: There is no reception. There is no phone. The rooms are small, The bathroom was not clean (wet soap scum left in the soap dish, dirty floors). The refrigerator worked, but leaked all over the tile floor. The "hotel' is on a corner of two narrow walking streets (about 2 meters wide). The locals who live on these walking streets ride their motorcycles directly past the "hotel" about 1 meter away (from both streets - so you get traffic in four directions) and the locals don't seem to understand that driving motorcycles on narrow walking streets at 30 - 40 km/h is a really stupid and dangerous idea. So every few minutes all night we were shaken by the sound of loud motorcycles speeding by our room - one meter from our door. Rediculous. On top of that, across the 2 meter street lives a local family that argued the entire 12 hours we were there! Screaming at all hours! Incredible. Our room had only a small 12 inch square window, which looked into a staircase. No balcony. No ventilation. Nothing. By far the worst choice of a hotel one can make. We booked through a travel agent that had no other options available. We will never use that travel agent again. We knew immediatley we would check out first thing in the morning. If we couldn't find another hotel we would have left the island. Luckily we were able to find another hotel, however. If you cannot find a different hotel, don't come to Mykonos. This was a truly awful place.
The only positive thing is the location. The location is great, 50 mt to the Fabrika Square at the centre of Mykonos town, but that's not enough.. There is no reception. You call a person when you come around the Fabrika Square and he comes (in 30 min though he said he's coming in 5 min) and shows you the hotel. Rooms are too dirty, the cleaner lady was nice but she couldn't speak any English. Plus she didn't do anything to the toilets which were obviously not cleaned before we checked in to the room. I can stand anything about hygiene for few days but not the dirty toilets.. The air conditioner didn't work, but we didn't even bother to tell since there was no reception, and since when you call George he will arrive in 45 min again. We opened the windows instead of air conditioning and woke up often at night since it was a crowded spot. Rooms are not small, and there are small refrigerator, oven and basin if you want to cook yourself. That's not very necessary when you're staying few days in Mykonos. The location is great though, the small apartments are like the traditional Greek houses, and we had a balcony just facing the main square, it was nice to sit at the balcony. If you are young and traveling with friends (and don't mind lack of hygiene) you can stay here. But the price is much for the quality, if i didn't have to book this hotel (2 days before the arrival) i would never book this place. I suggest anyone to stay at the centre rather than near the beaches (there are frequent buses to the beaches), but find another place and book in advance. I really don't recommend this hotel if you come with family or a partner. Never!
