The best hotel in Mykonos. Wonderful service by a lovley kind family. Clean nice rooms. Beautiful pool area and also Very very good food. Would recommend! 10/10 been here for the second year in a raw and will definietly come back to visit again.
We very much enjoyed our stay in 2016 and returned again in July this year. Our views have not changed since last year. The rooms are adequate and indeed the whole site is kept scrupulously clean. The location, 100 yards from the main Ornos beach and bus stop into Mykonos town is excellent but peaceful enough to enjoy a quiet period by the bar or pool. Poppy and her family do everything possible to make your stay pleasant and we highly recommend Anemos Apartments. We will definitely go back again.
We stayed at the Anemos July/August for 2 weeks and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Though the apartments are situated by a busy road, with the shutters and windows closed there was no problem sleeping at nights due to any noise. Everywhere looked freshly painted and the rooms kept very clean and tidy, linen changed every day. The pool area was brilliant and the snacks served represented very good value for money when compared to most of the other places in Ornos with one or two exceptions. Poppy, Maria and the rest of the team are always cheerful and ready, willing and able to make sure your stay is a relaxing one. Our room (103) was basically furnished and whilst the beds were a bit on the firm side, we had plenty of wardrobe space, a large kitchen and a very private balcony. If you are on a budget but want to get a flavour of Mykonos , a millionaire's playground, I can recommend the Anemos studios without hesitation.
Just got back stayed 2 weeks at the anemos very basic room to small for 3 people really 2 beds pushed together then a fold up bed against the wall for my daughter all in the same room I expected a 1 bedroom apartment with a bed in the living room not all in the living room only 7 hangers in the wardrobe and no draws for 3 people the shower was a waste of time the water came out like a tap needed a new shower head really sometimes no hot water only 1 plug in the kitchen over the sink dangerous had to put the kettle on drainer to plug it in no toaster so asked for one got it on the second day good points cleaned daily fresh towels poppy and her family are lovely snacks at the pool bar are good 3.5 euro for a beer burger n chips 7.5 euro hot dog chips omelette salad 4 euro nice clean pool soft drinks 2 euro we used the pool bar most nights because there is no bars in ornos just restaurants if you like bars this is not the resort for you we was really disappointed most Greek resorts have a selection of bars and restaurants not in ornos would not return because of this I've been to many Greek Islands and resorts we are not party animals just like a bit of choice let down really.
We stayed at the Anemos Apartments the last two weeks of July 2017 and had a really lovely time. Our apartment was simply furnished but looked fresh and clean. Although well into the season the room looked like it had been freshly painted as there were no marks on the paint work. Lovely terrace at the end of the block so very private and great for looking at the stars at night. The pool area was lovely and the food at the pool bar was excellent. Good selection of snacks and drinks at very reasonable prices especially when compared to other places in the resort. The apartments were cleaned every day to a very high standard, even cleaned our dishes when we hadn't done them this is something that I would not have expected. The cleaners washed the shutters and door every day and even saw them cleaning the walls. Although this all went to make our holiday fantastic the best thing about the apartments were Polly, Maria and the rest of the team who were very welcoming and made us feel at home. Would have no problem recomending these apartments to my family and freinds. Dave & Linda McGahon
We had 10 nights here at the end of June, during a mini heatwave. Poppy and Maria were very welcoming and the check in procedure was the best we have experienced. Met by Maria as we got out of the taxi, taken straight to our 1 bed apartment, a quick show of our passports for proof of identity and then left to settle in. The apartment was very spacious. Good size kitchen/diner/lounge and large bedroom with a sun trap balcony. What you would expect from a 3 star hotel. Cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed linen. Be aware though, the bed is rock solid and there is no bracket for the shower, you have to hold it which tends to flood the bathroom out. The pool area is adequate, but there is an issue with sunbeds. Due to the high prices of renting a bed on the beach, the sunbeds round the pool are taken by 7am in the morning. Adding to the misery of getting a sunbed, is the fact that customers at hotel next door were reserving the sun beds as well, which was a bit unfair we felt. The hotel is on the main drag down to the beach which is really very busy. There are no pavements and the road isn't wide enough for 2 way traffic, so it's a bit hair raising when leaving the hotel.. All in all, it's what you would expect form a 3 star hotel in Greece and Poppy and Maria are very welcoming . Just be aware of the hard beds, no shower brackets, sun beds reserved at 7am and road is a bit noisy.
Had a great eight days stay at the Anemos. We booked direct through their website, and was picked up and taken back to the airport. Poppy and her daughter Maria are lovely, so friendly, helpful and nothing was a problem. They make you feel so welcome. We stayed in the two bed apartment which was right next to the pool. This apartment was massive, a double room with terrace, a large kitchen/diner then the biggest second bedroom ever, you could get at least four single beds in it. This had a lovely terrace too, with lots of bright pink bougainvillea cascading over the terrace. Very impressed with the apartment, clean towels and sheets everyday. The pool area was really nice, once again very clean, nice sunbeds, and a good pool bar. You need to get up early to get a sunbed but its worth it. The pools a good size and was warm. They serve good food, a good Greek salad. Hotdog or burger and chips 7.50euro, chicken and chips/salad, really nice omelettes, toasties. Try the frappes that Maria makes there the best in Ornos and so cheap. The breakfast was the best we had scrambled eggs and bacon every morning, toast and jam/honey/marmalade thrown in for 6euros. They also do a buffet breakfast, cheese, ham, salami, yoghurt, fruit etc. Poppy has her own chickens so the eggs are so fresh. Drinks are really reasonable, but watch out for Poppy's kahlua and coke they are lethal but so good!!!. The Anemos is two minutes from the beach which has various restaurants, two minutes to the bus stop and a supermarket which is seconds away. We have stayed in various apartments in Ornos but this one is without a doubt the best place I've stayed, I would recommend this to young and old couples, families and single travellers. Poppy was really helpful with some mosquito bites. They work so hard from the crack of dawn to late at night. Cant wait to go back.
Horrible beds - back pain for days after this trip, Crazy traffic 5 meters from our room, Cleaning was substandard, the cleaning lady seemed to be very forgetful - forgetting a t-shirt, to do the dishes and add new towels.
We had a studio room, which was very clean, and comfortable, free air con, safe and TV. The family run apartments have a small pool bar, pool and sunbeds, the bar was well used all day and evening the family are so friendly and they work so hard, we felt that we arrived as strangers and left as friends, the only draw back was the lack of space for more sunbeds, as to get one you had to be at the pool by 7.30 am. Unfortunately other travellers were able to put their towels on the beds and come back later.
Wish I could give a plus five review. From our cases coming off the airport transfer to sadly been put back on the airport transfer 2 weeks later I have never felt so at home and welcomed into the family who run this gem of a holiday home and I say home because you become part of the family and home life. Poppy is such a wonderful host nothing is too much trouble and she works so hard to make you feel special and comfortable. Maria and Irene also work hard to emulate this and are a credit to their mum and dad. Would I recommend anemos yes with bells on I can't wait to go back. If your thinking of mykonos look here first you will not be disappointed everything is immaculate and the family should be so proud of this beautiful gem called Anemos studios and apartments. Thank you do much for one of the best holidays we have had.
