Slice of Serenity

A true gem of peace and serenity. A perfect place while I was alone to write. The space was divided for privacy with one master upstairs with a balcony and one master below the shared living space mid floor. The views unmatched! The management guided my every question. Services unparalleled!

The pictures of this property look beautiful but do not be give accurate view. One of the bedrooms is in a basement. First, we were picked up by a nice taxi driver which costs over €30 from the port to the house. Once we walked in the house, we noticed how some very basic items were missing such as kitchen towels, paper towels, beach towels, or even a tissue box. Our washing machine broke, there was a flood in the downstairs bedroom /basement which soaked all of the bedding and personal belongings. There is no cleaning during your stay and u are given 2 towels. We asked for more- and were told it would be 2 euro! They did not fix Washington machine while we were there- 5 nights. We were told to communicate on website when there was a problem. It was just bad service and not stocked well. Besides the fact that the music from parties at hotels next to us played loud and late at night. You are also far from anything and have to take a multitude of expensive taxis to get anywhere- definitely need a car.

This is a nice property, but know it is up a steep hill. You can not walk to the beach in 5 minutes, it’s down the steep hill, up a steep hill, then back down. Going back to the rental was rough, even for our teenagers who are athletes. We were told right before arrival that the washing machine was broke and wouldn’t be fixed for our stay. This was a big problem for us. We packed light for a reason. Also, nothing is within walking distance, due to the steep hills and most items are farther away. The beds are hard. The 2 bedrooms are upstairs and downstairs and the stairs are very narrow. Finally, our check out instructions came 20 minutes after we had to leave for the ferry. When I called the host number all they did to help was give me another number to call. The bright side - the view is beautiful and the car service they use has very respectful, timely, and friendly staff. No beach towels or wash clothes were left in the rental. It’s a lot smaller than the pictures make it appear.
