Stayed here one night on route to children's school activity. Pretty standard chain hotel, but the room is spacious, very clean, and things are in good shape. Very quiet. The staff is very friendly. Free breakfast has great hot and cold selections. The taste is regular hotel breakfast. Overall, very comfortable and pleasant stay.
Stayed here for one night and loved it. This place is super clean and well maintained. Front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming. Huge rooms and bathroom . Great breakfast. Safe area that’s near the mall and highway, but not loud.
Wonderful experience! The breakfast buffet with high protein options was perfect for our dietary needs. The young lady operating the breakfast room was fantastic - kept all food full, went in the back for special requests from guests, and was attentive to keeping the tables clean in the busy dining room. The employee that checked us in on 10/13/17 @ 9:30 PM was very friendly and helpful. Nick, the employee that checked us out on 10/15/17 went over and above by offering to take $20 off our fee when we mentioned that there was a leak in the window from very strong rain the night before - we put a towel on the window sill and it didn't impact our stay negatively at all, so we declined the discount, but it was nice that he acknowledged it could have been an inconvenience. We just wanted to be sure they knew, to prevent additional damages to their property. We are staying at another Fairfield Inn & Suites in s couple of weeks and are now really looking forward to it! Thank you!
The hotel is very clean and up to date. Small indoor pool and hot tub. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast offerings the same as others. Location near many shopping areas. Good place to eat is Thrashers BeAr Tavern
Muskegon is not known for nice hotels and clean accommodations. The town is a blue collar town that has very few jobs that pay well. The Fairfield is one of the nicest hotels you can stay in here. I lived in Muskegon for 40 years so I had inside information as to what hotels to avoid. I knew the Fairfield was a newer hotel and was still kept up as I had friends that stayed here in the last 6 months. Everything was as expected. I travel a lot for work and I am used to good hotels this one met my expectations. Room was very clean with no smells carpet has no stains and the air conditioning was on so the room was comfortable and dry. I always do a bug inspection and the room came back squeaky clean. Mattress was new and in a protector bag linens were all clean and they even looked like they wiped the headboard down. In room couch looks to be less than 2 years old and was very clean. Doors and doorknobs show no wear and we're also clean. Only thing I can find wrong was a coffee stain on the curtains. Overall I am very pleased with the room. It is a comfortable size and quiet.
We were told they needed to do a room change and was it ok if we had the third floor- sure we didn't mind. We did not know it was a suite. Very nice- big, lots of extras. frig, micro, closet space. big bathroom. the only downside. Couch had worn edges that were ripped. But easy enough to overlook since it was such a great clean room. Pool and breakfast were nice. Nice area.
It's a Fairfield Inn, pretty standard, newer which is always an advantage. Nothing special. Service is fine. Friendly. Pool. Standard breakfast. What else can I say, it does what you'd expect from a Fairfield Inn.
We’ve just returned from a 6200-mile cross-country trip. This is our 4th cross-country loop that we’ve taken since we retired, and on this one we completed our goal of visiting all of the lower 48 states. We stay at hotels as we travel, and we have learned what we expect from a basic hotel room, and have used these expectations to rate the hotel rooms where we have stayed. This was a nice room, and the modern furniture was pretty and very useful, but too much was crowded into the space. Navigating from the bed to the bathroom at night was an adventure. We really liked that the window opened, and there was a fan in the bathroom, so the ventilation was good. The wifi was also good.
We spent the weekend here and my wife tells me the rate is $280 a night. The location puts you near a number of Lake Michigan beaches, an amusement park, a number of restaurants and a strip mall next door. It is easy on and off the nearby highway in what appears to be a decent area to stay. We found the hotel to be spotlessly clean with a friendly and helpful staff. Our room seemed rather small but met our needs and the room the indoor pool is located was just big enough to house a hot tub and a very small pool. We were told the hotel was sold out for the weekend and even though they have an extra room next to the breakfast area it was not open on Saturday so finding a place to sit was difficult. I would say the breakfast was a bit above average and the staff very friendly but the crowd simply overwhelmed them and they could not begin to keep up with the demand. Our only complain was the constant door slamming in the hallways that went on at all hours. The guests that were there during our visit were very noisy and their children seemed completely out of control, screaming and running up and down the halls. Given the good location of the hotel and the fact that is was sold out gives the hotel a better rating than I could express. I’m sure it is much nicer to stay there when it is not so busy.
We stayed here to go to Michigan Adventures. It is 15 to 20 minutes away from there but it is very close to a mall and many good restaurants. The bathroom vanity and mirror were recently updated but the tub and flooring could use some updating. The bathroom was a nice size. The pool and hot tub were very small. The breakfast was excellent. Anything you can want and it was hot and fresh. I would stay here again. It was a good price.
