We ended up booking one more night. The hotel conveniently located outside of city center but just a train ride away Hackerbrücke stop or munich ZOB. Many good restaurants/ deli’s near by like the Vinzenzmurr Augustiner Bräustuben and Augustiner-Keller. All well priced and ton of food. Also many little convenient stores and supermarkets near by. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Would come back and stay on this side of town again.
I really like the nature of staff here. The Girl at reception is so polite & helping that I won't forget her for my life. Check in process was so easy that it just took 2 minutes. Free tea coffee round the clock. Manager is very sensitive & always want the customer fully satisfied. She changed my room just on my small comment. In the morning she helped us lot in selecting our breakfast items, because pure vegetarian , she took lot of pain to explain us that which item is eggfree & which contains egg. I am fully satisfied with this hotel. I feel that it is worth you money. You can not compare it to a five star hotel, it is a three star hotel. So it is a very good hotel at this rate. I will definitely select this hotel if I come again to Munich
The room is dated, the hotel is generally the same. The staff looks nice and professional, but one is free to expect more of a hotel characteristics in this place. The impression it gives is closer to a youth hostel. Apart from this, the location is great, especially for the Oktoberfest. But the prices are just crazy and beyond the acceptable for this level of service (300e for a room per night during the event).
Travelling with a large group for Oktoberfest. Excellent location, within walking distance of the festival. Clean room, small shower but still a hot shower! Breakfast was complimentary for Oktoberfest which was nice.
We stayed at this hotel for Oktoberfest. It is more like a frat house. So noisy, rubbish in the hallways there is no noise barrier doors at all and noise echoes horribly in the hallway and into your room. There is NO AIR CON in the room nor is there a bar fridge. Which is difficult when you want some air because the street is too noisy to have the window open. The shower has a shower curtain with discoloration on the bottom of it. No wonder, you end up standing on the damn thing while you shower because it is way too long. So disgusting. One one occasion there were blood stained sheets/towels thrown into the hallway by the cleaner. It sat there for quite a while which I found to be an obvious biological hazard. I brought this up with the rude staff members at the reception desk who didn't even bother to look at me as I spoke to them. The woman respond with 'the cleaner is not done yet ok' then walked off. The pillows... Well. They're not really pillows it feels like an old doona shoved into a pillow case that's way too big for it. Horrible. Do yourself a favour and spend the little bit extra and stay in a decent hotel.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights. I think the price considering the offer. The room was clean, a little bit old and small. But for staying overnight it is ok.The staff were friendly. The location is near the city centre.
Not the newest or fanciest hotel in the world, but much more than expected, considering the price. Reception is opened 24h/day, the staff was nice, our room was clean and comfortable (the interior design was a little off, but nothing critical for a hotel room). The location is great, close to the city center and very close to some cool pubs, restaurants, and museums.
Rooms are comfortable and clean with all necessary amenities like Sat-TV, telephone and free Wi-Fi. What could yopu expect more at €49.00 per night for a double bed room? staffs are polite and always ready to help you with a smiling face.
The city is nearby, especially when using the tram whereas good restaurants are aplenty; the area is rather hip with several vintage shops abound. The hotel staff were friendly and the room was good - clean and even attached to a balcony (for me, at least). However, the fact that the lift didn't go up to level 5 was rather problematic for my parents, who are elder - we had tons of luggage so carrying it up a flight of stairs was a hassle but we managed, of course.
For the price, Hotel Westend does offer you a clean room, a comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Do not expect anything more. As I am used to relatively shabby hostels, this was a nice change to me. The hotel does show signs of wear and tear, but as mentioned, it is clean and a good deal for the price and location.
