Mercure Hotel Muenchen Airport Aufkirchen

The hotel is small, cozy. It's very clean. The breakfast was really good. Big room and comfortable. Location Is good if you have car.

This is a nice hotel in a beautiful town near Munich airport. Room was nice. Nice restaurant next door, only complaint is the mattress was worn out. Did not sleep well.

I picked this hotel because it was "close" to the airport. It was really about 20 mins drive from the airport. After checking in, I noticed the bed was pretty small (I'm 6'2"), and so was the TV and room. The hotel is not really close to anything walking. I wanted to go out and grab a beer or dinner somewhere. There is really only one restaurant (next door), that is a part of the hotel, available. They were also supposed to have a shuttle service to the airport for 20 euro. The morning I was supposed to leave, I was called by the front desk to inform me that the shuttle had mechanical problems and I needed to take an expensive taxi to the airport. The taxi ranges from 35 euro - 40 euro one way (taxi's are very expensive here). In the morning, when I went to shower, I noticed the shower was also very small (more square floor basin and shower head). The water drained very slowly and I had about 2 inches of water around my feet.

This hotel charges a $20 shuttle fee to and from the airport per day. The town is about 10-15 minutes from the airport in a rural area. There is absolutely nothing to do in that town but eat at an Italian restaurant next to the hotel. If you are renting a car, you can at least drive to a nearby town with some shopping and restaurants. No AC, no fridge, no amenities.

We stayed here because it was fairly close to Munich and a good value during Oktoberfest. The room was huge!

The hotel was clean. I visited with two children and we were able to have two double beds. We rented a car and were about 10 minutes from the Munich airport. Without a car I think it would have been more difficult to get from the hotel to the airport. The hotel was somewhat difficult to find. We had pizza at the restaurant next to the hotel.

The room size is small and bed size is even smaller! There is nothing around this hotel... it is in a small village. Will never go back. Staff was extremely helpful though.

The lobby was nice and room was clean, but that's it. The only thing that makes it an "airport hotel" is the price, not the location. TV didn't work because they lost the remote, and staff refused to go get another remote. Computer in the so-called "business center" was completely unusable. Staff was unhelpful, borderline rude. After trying to get several problems straightened out, best they could offer was a free Coke if I bought dinner at the hotel restaurant. I'm normally a patient and accommodating customer, but this was frustrating. To top off the disappointing 1-night stay, I woke up to a stone cold shower. Glad to leave and won't be back.

has to pay for bottle of wather and internet !!!!!!! radicules that 3 star hotel does not suply bottel of wather to the room !!!.........its standard in USA no WI FI also ahs to pay for internet connection!!! most USA hotels is standrd. this hotel wont be on my list in my next trip to Munich in august 2012 :)

Great hotel for all thoose who want a peaceful relax after the Munich rush. Spacious and clean rooms, pleasant and helpful staff. Only a bar in the room was missing, so you have to exit to the embasement to purchase drinking water.

Arrived at Munich Airport around 2030 hrs., called for hotel shuttle service, was not available at that hour. Airport Infomation staff was very helpful in directing me to the 512 bus that took me close to the hotel for 2.40 euro otherwise taxi was 30 euros. Hotel shuttle was available in the morning for 15 euro.

After 2 weeks in Germany, we selected this hotel to get close to the airport for our last night and a 7am flight. With the word airport in the hotel name and close to airport in the description, one would think a couple miles at the most. This hotel is pretty rural and a 15 minute drive to the airport. They also charged us 20 Euro for the hotel shuttle. On the positive side, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Hotel was good value for the money. However, the web site does not indicate you must call for the hotel transfer shuttle bus. The bus is not free - $15 Euro. If you do not call, you will not get a bus. A better deal that risking Turkish cab drivers though. Overall pleasant stay for an overnight transfer from Central Europe to States. S. Tucker

Hotel was clean and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Walls were thin, so you could hear stuff from the adjoining rooms. Staff was not terribly helpful or kind. Got the feeling they just wanted to you to go away and not bother them most of the time. It is not terribly close to the airport (or anything else for that matter.) They do have a airport shuttle, as advertised, but it costs 25 Euros, which they don't tell you. Average experience. Average hotel. The price was right, so that made it mostly okay, but I would have been upset if we'd paid more.

Near the S-Bahn Quiet location Large rooms

We staid only one night. It was very good rest for the long flight to Canada on the next day.

I really liked the hotel. It was a good price, and the room was big. I would definately go back to this hotel if I have too.

Very interesting hotel. SCUBA theme to go with the hotel's SCUBA lessons and inside swimming tanks (no swimming pool). Location is 5KM from nearest town with food and shopping. Hotel eatery is very expensive and limited offerings. If you have a car, the location is not too bad and is 15 minutes from the airport.

A bit hard to find, but quiet with nice size rooms and good beds. Value for money!!
