We booked online, paid online via booking.com and still got our reward points from out which made me very very happy. Friendly English speaking staff, who were patient of my bad German. Breakfast is included and very good and when the breakfast room was packed the staff sensibly utilised the conference rooms. Comfortable and cosy night and a surprisingly good view of the mountains from the top floor. There is free secure underground parking and I would recommend to anyone. However I do have two areas of concern which means this isn't a 5 star review they I think are minor and hope can be improved before my next stay. The car park lights are on a sensor which doesn't appear to be working properly so that several times during loading and unloading we were plunged into darkness and forced to grips waving our hands in the air in order to get them to switch back on. We recently stayed in the holiday Inn Nuremberg and there the sensors work much better. Our only other concern is that we booked a family room as we have a toddler and we are happy for her to sleep on a sofa bed, accept that the design holiday Inn use have quite a lot of exposed metal work and moving parts which concerns me as tiny fingers would easily become trapped. However these are minor. Although I also note that there is no mini bar which is fine accept I do rely on these mini fridges when travelling with young children in order to keep milk fresh, and it would be nice if ihg considered adding small fridges to family rooms.

This is a nice, relatively inexpensive, convenient hotel for short stays. I stayed for one night while driving from Italy up to Berlin, and my room was clean, comfortable, and highly functional -- exactly what I expect from Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed 4 people in one room. One queen bed and one double sofa bed. The rooms are quite small, but is value for money. Breakfast is included for all people in the room. The location is a long the highway about 15 km from the city center. The hotel is clean and service average

Hotel was clean. Quiet location. Buffet got wiped out by tour group, but okay otherwise. Air in room did not cool very much, so opened window. About 45-hour from airport depending on traffic. Nice Italian restaurant close by.

My family (wife and two kids 7 and 9) stayed for three nights while exploring munich. As we didn't have a car we were initially a bit concerned that the hotels location may have made things difficult. We need not have worried. With a bus stop located outside the front it was easy to get to the heart of munich. The hotel is clean and well run with a very good breakfast. Our room was nice although with the fold out sofa in bed mode there was little room. The bathroom is excellent and free wifi made things easy. The bar was a nice way to unwind at the end of a day. The staff were very accomodating and in particular pascal! Overall great value for money.

We needed a hotel just for a night in Munich but we wanted to stay out of the city centre so we stayed here. It was everything we expected from a Holiday Inn. The staff was great and friendly. Even joked with me in English and gave me gummy bears on the way out. Internet was fine. Location was fine. Good for a simple overnighter. The room was ok - probably your typical European size. Cooling was blah so we relied on leaving windows open. You can probably skip the evening menu. The food taste like it was microwaved. However, the included breakfast was great. Didn't expect the big spread available. Highly recommend if you want a good breakfast waiting for you in the morning.

Check in is a breeze, room had a queen and sofa bed good enough for 4 people. Nice ample bathroom. Breakfast was good and free, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, cereals, pastries and a cappuccino / espresso machine. If you are driving, there is an underground parking lot with easy access to room via lift and also free. If you are not driving walk to rotary catch bus 185 to S2 at Feldkirchen and you'll be in Munich center in less than 50 min.

We stayed already 3th time at this hotel for overnight - since hotel is good located just near highway and near Munich airport . The hotel itself have many outside parking places for free what is also a benefit and very good breakfast . The service is great and the staff is always ready to help you with smile - good job ! I need to print out something and there was no problem for them to print it for free . Also amenities as shaving set and toothbrush are provided for free at reception desk . Room it self is just of very nice setup and cozy - and good shower facility . Pressure of water is great and soap - shower gel is of very nice quality . All in all - Holiday Inn Express Munich Messe - never disappointed us . VERY NICE BREAKFAST , just no egg station ! But you have everything to start a good day . Their coffee is one of the best i ever tried also in other good hotels . Thumb up !

Stayed for one night on our way from Munich Airport to the Austrian Alps. Modern, clean, comfortable room. Staff were very polite and helpful. Room was a good size and well appointed for a family of 4. Good standard buffet breakfast. Can't argue with that!

Our family chose to stay here because the advertised "family room" price was affordable & included breakfast. The room was just a standard single room with a pull-out couch that was almost the size of the full bed, leaving no additional space. The bathroom was horribly designed so that the single door would swing wide and latch either in front of the toilet or the sink- ridiculously inconvenient. Two people would have felt cramped in this space, never minded a family with children. The breakfast was adequate, the wait staff courteous, the dining space clean. The "evening meal" we ordered from the restaurant was an expensive array of frozen foods warmed up on plates, and not worth eating. Our biggest issues were with the lack of customer service at the desk. The directions we'd received about getting from the central station to the hotel were wrong; had we used them as issued, we'd never have found the hotel. Thank goodness the ticket agent at the train station looked them over! The hotel has neither an ATM, nor information about where a reliable bank is located. Finally, the clerk's assumption that all the guests will have a car (even if they came by bus!) is infuriating. The person at the desk told us it was illegal for him to sell us bus tickets, yet the hotel next door sold them to us! There is nothing - and I do mean NOTHING except the other hotel -conveniently located near here. The bus only runs once an hour on weekends, so know your connection times in advance when trying to get to/from the city. Unless you get a great deal on the room price, you won't have saved much by the time you buy your bus/train tickets. All in all, we had a good time in Munich, but it was not due to our lodgings, it was in spite of them.
