Staying here again after 6 months or so. Had tried to book the place many times in the interim, but it was either sold out or rates were astronomical. This visit was quite disappointing. Rooms and toilet are clean, but breakfast was a big let down. Eggs are charged extra, there is usually only 1 or 2 main items like Alu parata, iddly, etc. Food ordered in room service was expensive, but good. General housekeeping needs a big push, boxes, stale smells abound. If you're looking for a nice place to eat outside, there's a place called Mint Leaf Kitchen nearby, a short walking distance. It's a small place, but food was good. Wi-fi is complimentary, but only for 2 hours! It worked only the first day for me after which it always said my quota was over. Oritel needs to get their act together and they could be really good if they tried. Anything more than 2000 per night including GST is not worth spending here in my opinion and I would stay here again only if it was in this range.
Though Oritel Apartments doesn't look in the best of shape from the outside, the overall experience concerning the rooms, food and staff was very good! Minor issues in the apartment were quickly fixed. The staff are very polite.
the location is excellent, very close to powai lake. spacious apartment with basic facilities but badly needs renovation / maintenance. staff is friendly. food is good but choices are limited. has swimming pool but that too needs some attention
This place is located in Andheri, near the Powai lake, quite easy to find because of the D mart nearby. After a major shock a day earlier in another hotel in Kalyan (read my review on Hotel Mayur Residency), we booked Oritel online at around the same rates as the Kalyan hotel and were half expecting a repeat of that disastrous place. However, we were pleasantly surprised here. The building is at the end of the road and is fairly quiet. The rooms were good, a large hall, a bedroom and a kitchen. I got one facing the pool (which doesn't seem to be in use however) and the bedroom faces some hills. Food wasn't great and some effort in that direction would certainly help. The place needs a bit of polishing, eg - taps that look green and old, but in comparison to the general places available to stay at this price, Oritel is far far better. Unfortunately, when we tried to book a second time, their rates had shot up 3 fold - it was certainly not worth it at that price. If you get a deal at 2000 a night, it's a real steal and a place worth staying in. Rooms are large enough to have business meetings in, I would recommend this place to anyone.
we stayed in Oritel during a short business trip. Hotel is good for solo travelers if your are not able to find any decent accommodation. Rooms are ok but food is very bad and avoid hotel food. Keep it a last option.
The hotel is only few minutes away from the international airport. The are is ugly but the hotel is in good conditions! Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms cleans but no warm water just in our case! Breakfast Indian style and good.
Its my pleasure to sharee my experience with Oritel Service. Staff here is very professional and courteous . Our get together event went very welldue to pro-active approach of staff and even they helped us beyond their professional commitments. Catering incharge and hotel manager both have made our event successful. Overall I recommend this place to everyone.
I checked in for a night. The surroundings are unclean, the bathrooms cleanliness is below average. The sofas need new upholstey etc.etc. Avoid it if you can. The place is atleast 20 minutes from the airport. As a transit place the location is fine, but the place needs urgent up keep. It is called a service apt. but we no facilities that come with a service apt. If you are looking for a long stay I definitely wont recommend it.
This Service Apartment was booked by my travel agent and stayed here for 2 weeks. Pros: 1.Location is awesome. 2.View Is awesome. 3.1BHK type rooms are cool 4.Pool is standard. 5. Near to nahar Dmart and near to other eateries. Cons: 1.Breakfast is blunt. 2.TT board is present but not utilized 3.Internet is chargeable which is a big minus. only 1 hr free in a day. 4.All safes in the rooms are faulty
This is a true Indian Hotel with no frills. The hotel is dated and needs minor attention as do the rooms, however, the place is clean and the rooms large. The pool is large and grounds are well kept. The best feature of the hotel, besides its low price in Mumbai, is the food. Excellent breakfast and quality inexpensive food made on site which you can either eat downstairs or have it delivered to your room. Big shopping centre near by and staff do their best to make your stay comfortable.
