I had to choose this hotel because the ones I usually stay during my business trips to Mumbai was quite full this week. When I reached the hotel, I liked the location. It was on a quite locality and on the beach. The check-in took ages. The chap at the check-in did not know how to block payments with a GBP card. After many tries, he succeeded. In the meantime, he was putting the blame on my bank which made me to call the bank just to be reassured at all being ok from their side. I had a premier booking and was allocated a room at the 6th floor which had a view of the beach. The room itself was a bit tired- some of the colour from the furniture was off, there was stains on the sofa and one side of the sliding door was off the hook. However the bed was well made. I think the departments that works well in the hotel is the housekeeping and the in-room dining. The staff at the restaurant were cold. No courtesy to come and ask the guests rather they would wait for guests to call them to ask for tea/ coffee etc. Worse still, we were given wrong information when we went for a meal one fine evening. We were told that they would not server drinks and need to go to the bar who also servers ร  la carte only to find out from the bar they do only starters !!! huhh... The only positive about the hotel is the beach. The hotel has direct access to the beach. It is a nice sandy beach and very clean- although you do expect stray dogs when you take a stroll in the morning. The breakfast is quite sumptuous tool. It has a great selection and most importantly they make every little change each morning so you do not get tired of. The bar is no different from the rest of the hotel. You will struggle to find a staff there and when I walked down to the counter to ask for Smirnoff Vodka, aah I got such a stare from the counter chap as if I should have walked into a roadside dhaba instead of checking into his bar. Ok, I settled for absolute !!! Again, endless wait for someone to come to you. If you book premier package, you will have access to the premier lounge. I have never been to a lounge so dull and quiet. Wore, it has less variety in breakfast than the restaurant downstairs !!! They offer free drinks and snacks at the lounge between 6-8. Not sure how would people manage to get back to hotel before 8 amidst the rush hour traffic. I could not avail any of those. Overall, the service in this hotel as compared to other hotel in Mumbai is non-existent -throughout. Or perhaps, after staying in top-notch hotels in Mumbai including Novotel in Bangalore, I had high expectations from Novotel as well. If you get a really cheap deal stay here. Otherwise, avoid.

Booked a premium room with Club access at this hotel after being told that the Sofitel was booked out, despite very mixed reviews decided to give it a go after talking to accor. Big mistake, upon arriving at the hotel and informing them and getting confirmation re our arrival time, found that they had overbooked the hotel and they couldn't do anything about it. however they would put a roller way bed in the room, at no charge ( very generous ) asked to speak to manager, none available, but would change rooms in the morning and get a manager to speak to us.Went to room which was non smoking ? which stank of cigarette smoke, so down again to reception to get another room. another room was obtained that hadn't seen a good clean in years, especially the bathroom shower, marks on walls etc. Remember the hotel was overbooked but they still managed to find another room. Managed to change room the next day, asked again to see manager, no joy. We were given a drink voucher as a silver Accor member when trying to redeem, sorry doesnt include beer only free soft drink or juice, despite conditions on the voucher not saying another instance of staff not aware of what you can and cant do. Decided to cut our losses and check out to another nearby hotel ( Marriott, which was great ) and forgo the last nights accommodation. Lo and behold a manager appears and offers an upgrade to stay and she did not want us to leave unhappy. too late. On a positive note the breakfast downstairs was good. Indian wine was the only option in the Club room which was ordinary to say the least, staff in the club room were quite nice. Beds were average at best. This is overpriced for what was offered.Location of the hotel overlooking Juhu Beach is very good that is where it ends..

I, Ghanshyam Patel, and my wife, Anila Patel, have been staying at Novotel, Mumbai since December 28, 2017. We are visitors from New York, USA. We have been staying at this hotel for more than 25 years and as usual we have a pleasant stay. We have excellent food prepared and served by Chefs Sandeep Malusare and JP. Evangelist. In particular Sandeep has been preparing the meals exactly according to our tastes and we are very happy to have him as our chef. Also Kumar Patil, team leader, and Pratik C. Sawant, team leader of Square have been rendering excellent service and have taken very good care of us. Sanjeev, technical advisor, has helped us a lot from time to time. Overall all staff hav e given us good service. And

I have been visiting this hotel over many years.owesome hotel .very close to domestic as well as international airport .staff are courteous and very helpful .reception staff are very friendly. Shalaka guest relation manager is very professional. Our stay was really very awesome thank!! you.

Staying in this hotel for 2 nights on a business trip. Location is very good but the moment you get inside you somehow realise that this place needs major revamp in all sections. I checked in at around 4 pm and it took me more than 20 minutes to get my room. Very ordinary room with many issues like overall cleanliness , lighting in room, cleanliness of washroom. Morning breakfast spread is quite impressive but service is pathetic. I could not get a glass of water in 10+ minutes ....No body cares but everyone is extremely busy...Even request for clearing table will go waste....Requested at front desk for meeting with restaurant manager but still waiting!! Very very bad experience so far...its 4 pm and came back to my surprise morning tea cup and all other wrapper s etc are still there....Still rating 2 because of better experience in other Accor group of hotels...

I selected the hotel as it was rated as a top 10 hotel in Juju but unfortunately it is not. I can see that at one time it may have been, it now seems outdated and in need of redecorating/ refurbishing. The reception area has chips in the wood panelled walls. The pool area has cracked tiles surrounding it. The bedroom has the wooden floor badly scratched where the furniture has need dragged across it. The shower has a good feature where doors open out into the bedroom and you can shower whilst looking into the bedroom or TV but unfortunately the glass was full of water stains. The mini fridge was set to off so all the drinks were warm. The bar overlooking the beach is a really good area to relax and enjoy a drink but I found the drinks to be extortionately priced, over 4 times normal prices. The dining area also need refurbishment, nearly all the tables have cracks and chips in the marble tops. Also, the hot buffet breakfast was not hot on both days we ate in there. I would not readily stay in this hotel again and would certainly not rate it in the top 10 for the area having stayed in other hotels in the area before. Staff were pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

One tip if you are taking a taxi to the Novotel. Make ABSOLUTELY sure the driver knows where it is and doesn't get confused about 'no hotel' and take you miles out of your way. Uber is probably your best bet for a cheap option or arrange an airport pick up - we were amazed to find out that our drop off was included in the cost (especially considering it was an Accor 'points' booking). The rooms are a bit 'standard' Novotel and I'm sure I've stayed in the same design in other countries. The sea views are a bit marginal - especially since the angle of the wings makes them at best partial. Breakfast is stunning - have it by the pool if the weather is nice. It's gorgeous and there is SO much choice. Access to the beach is great - I just love to walk up and down Juhu beach, watching the poshest of the neighbourhood dogs being walked by servants, watching their masters out jogging, it's a different life. We were lucky to get free access to the lounge which was OUTSTANDING. I don't think I've ever had so much free food and booze in a hotel lounge and they encouraged us all the way. It's a wonder my poor husband didn't have to carry me back to our room. A great stay. Super nice staff and a place I'd love to return to.

You will pay for 5* but will get 3* services as many things missing as far service is concerned staff is not friendly and if you ask for any special arragmemts then disappointment is confirmed not advisable for the amount they charged you get far better option near to this hotel with lesser price

Worst experience as far as hotel industry in concerned.... Rigid and unprofessional front office and Room reservation staff... Ignorant and non cooperative... waited for almost two hours for check in as Room was not ready even after continued reminders and request... Highly disappointed... The property location is very good. The view of the waters, being at Juhu and peaceful neighborhood - these are all the plus. The check in was inefficient, city view rooms are horrendous and the hotel needs renovation!
