I reviewed this hotel in April 2017, and pointed out that there seems to be some problem with the management of this beautifully located reasonably well equipped hotel. The hotel was good enough to respond saying ''give us another chance'' - so I di, and stayed there again on October 2017. Sadly, nothing has improved, in fact more or less all facilities have become much worse. The wifi continues to be non existent, so they should actually say there is no wifi in their hotel. The service has gone down, the Chinese restaurant delay (unfortunately, had a guest so quite embarrassing) was unbelievable, over two hours after order for food was placed! They continue with one desk for both check in and check out, and so on. Get the feeling they have tie ups with airlines for regular business from the crew, and as the crew have no choice anyway, the hotel has decided to cut corners everywhere. As normal travellers do have a choice and there are several other hotels almost next door, better one tries one of the other htoels.
Does not live up to any expectations. Rooms could be cleaner. Staff was super indifferent and unfriendly. That was a big turn off. The sea view restaurants are a good scape, but the coastline/beach itself is trash. Not recommended.
The property in on the main location of city mumbai with view of Juhu beach. Hotel is facing sea & you could enjoy poolside drinks, Dinner, mutli cuisine restaurant - The Square. The only issue is of approach road with traffic jams. What more you need when you are in Mumbai , staying at NOVOTEL & Big B - Mr Amitabh Bachan's bungalow is very near... if you are lucky, u can see him in morning hoyrs Great ambiance, Great hospitality, everything great....what else is required. Its a better option than home, away from home.
I recently attended a Wedding function here and was quite impressed with the Property. Though I didn't stay here but I did explore the Main lobby, Café and adjacent areas of Main Hotel as well. What I saw, definitely impressed me and I would like to recommend my friends and families visiting Mumbai to explore this property. The Banquet Hall was large enough to accommodate 200-300 Guests with Round Table Seating arrangement. Arrangements for Bar, Snacks and Food display was excellent. Taste of all their Snacks was quite good and genuinely liked what they served. Wash Rooms were very clean and regularly serviced.
The hotel is old and not clean, it needs renovation. Too crowdede and i waited 1.5 hrs for check in. Too much noise if you stay at the lower floors. Overall i think Novotel should consider renovating and paying more attention to cleaning.
...poorly executed. We stayed here for a few nights in November 2017, we picked the hotel due to its being next to Juhu beach, which it is. The design of the hotel room is good on paper but the materials and workmanship is poor. Our bathroom sink faucet was loose, the counter sloped downwards and the bath tub pooled water when showering. The cleanliness of the bathroom as well as areas of the hotel could have been much improved with some attention to detail. The pool and surrounding area also did not seem well cleaned. We were not too impressed with the cafe on the lobby floor, though we did not eat at the restaurants. The hotel also seemed unprepared to deal with families with babies. The charm of the restaurant lies in its staff, who are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast buffet which was fortunately included in our booking. There is a spread of both Indian and Western dishes and the wait staff is very polite and friendly. It's a welcome start to the day after what was for us an extremely long and tiring journey. Overall we felt that the hotel was not the value we expected for how much we paid and since we were not too keen on the location we would have been happier staying elsewhere.
I just posted a bad review on NOVOTEL JUHU MUMBAI on Agoda and it did not get posted. I got an email saying that my review did not meet their internet standards. However, they have no reason what internet standard was not met and when I tried to leave another review, I kept getting directeded to a booking page. This is to warn travelers, if you're going to stay at the Novotel Juhu, be prepared to micro manage all the staff, deal with mediocre front desk service, low house keeping and have the headache of getting your electronic keys reconfigured at least 3 times daily which also means you can't use the lift and have to walk to reception for this everytime. We ended up staying for a week, due to choice of location and also failure of Agoda to publish any of the "nasty" reviews. Don't be fooled by the photos on the site, your room will not be matching those photos. There was not a single day when I did not see someone shouting their head off from frustration with the front desk. The hotel is run down and corridor carpets are manky and smelly. There is no fresh air in the rooms. November/ December is peak wedding season for the locals, so be prepared to deal with drunken noisey guests. Restaurant and concierge staff were polite and helpful. Front desk staff will challenge your patience. Everyone keeps saying sorry but no one gets the matter resolved. Breakfast spread was good. Also a la carte food was tasty in the main restaurant. This is not a 5*. Perhaps a 3* at best.
It was an office party and we had a great time, good food and good staff. Have never stayed in the Mumbai Novotel but like most of their hotels love the ambience they have. Excellent location as well.
Had an amazing experience during my stay at Novotel Juhu.I wld specially like to thank Mr. Allwyn Dsouza for his excellent customer service n making sure we had a pleasant stay. Over all 5 out of 5 ...
I arrived in the hotel on 24th Oct 2017 to meet with clients from Ghana. The welcome by hotel staff was good. The front office people are friendly. I waited for my client for two hours in lobby and found comfortable. I had taken chicken biryani in lunch and found delicious. The restaurant was good. The room was good. The hotel charges around 200 $. Which is reasonable. The location of the hotel makes it costly. The rooms are sea facing. But , overall experience with this hotel is very good
