Sun n sand is a much better hotel than novotel if you are traveling with a family .... In case you are traveling sith friends... Novotel might be fine... But sun n sand is a good option for all cases. I didn't like staying in this hotel at all. It wasn't worth it.
Disappointed with this hotel. Trendy but filthy district with local places overpriced ( with a few exceptions ) the street food types of place are a bit off putting u like the street food tour we did earlier from the Taj at India Gate. Hotel carets were foul with stains from spitting betel juice, the pool area was grubby( dirty nappy being attacked by crows and none of the many staff bothering to get it cleared up. Hotel bar prices shocking! Some of the staff are great but the clientele (Bollywood) are generally pushy and rude which also affects the staff morale. The beach is beyond disgusting. I wouldn’t even paddle there but the sunsets from the hotel pool are great if you can afford the prices. Soaps etc not replaced and no tea coffee facilities. The expresso bar has n the lobby is very good. Overall very disappointed for what it was costing. Rather spend a small bit extra and go to the Taj Palace which was superbe in every sense and had better local choices for eating.
The hotel is a nice place in a good area allot going on the rooms were great and the food here including desserts were delicious with friendly staff willing to go the extra mile when something is required
What makes this property stand out is it’s wonderful location. Bang on the beach with an approach to the beach just adjacent to the boundary walls of the hotel, Novotel gives a different Mumbai experience, an experience typical to Mumbai many decades back, but now not as common with the city growing in all directions. My tariff plan included complimentary airport transfers and that’s surely convenient if arriving late evening or departing early morning. Rooms are as expected. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained. Some of the rooms have sea view which makes the stay more memorable. I only explored breakfast here amongst my meals and it is a decently laid out buffet with usual sections of fruit platter , juices , shakes, North Indian , South Indian and continental sections. I would have preferred a slightly stronger section of Mumbai / Konkani stuff though. The Breakfast zone opens out into the swimming pool and beach lies just ahead. Take your tea out and make yourself comfortable in one of the open air couches closer to the beach. I missed the sunset this time and for that need to be back here.
This is a very beautiful located property and is a nice place to stay the restaurant the breakfast and the food is good I feel the rooms just need to be upgrade a bit as it’s old school. The pool is great and it really is well kept.
Was celebrating my anniversary there. Had a pleasant stay of two days ...room was quiet spacious. Duty manager Mr Dipankar was kind enough to upgrade to a sea facing room. Food at The Square was also good with ample options.
Hotel Location was good. Rooms were also good. Breakfast buffet spread was huge, lots of options for everyone. Great Beachfront Area with beach facing restaurant and swimming pool. We enjoyed our evening there. Down side were: 1. Room was not fully ready, kettle was not there in room, our TV was not working properly. Though they fixed it 2nd day. 2. On 2nd day, we had to wait around 20 min to get the table during breakfast and then just after 10 min, they said that they are going to wrap up the buffet. It was not our fault. 3. In our other room we asked for extra bed during checkin and they said they will put in our room but till 11:30 pm no one came and when we called then, they said there is no extra bed available tonight. We had to adjust on same bed which was a queen size bed.
I checked into the HOTEL on 27TH and had a remarkably bad experience with the front office rooms are smelly and very uncomfortable beds the same goes with the restaurant on the ground floor the place called Pino something its on the ground floor behind the lifts the lady after taking order was all busy on phone. a very sad service Overall I feel I wasted my money.
The hotel is located just opposite the beach. The view is wonderful. The breakfast was good and tasty. The staff was very friendly & helpful. The rooms are big enough & the shower has very good water pressure. A very nice place to stay.
