We were here just for one day and the experience was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was amazing. What I loved most of the breakfast was that apart from what was served in the buffet, you could also order custom omelettes and friend eggs.
The Oriental Residency is a place to stay n dine. I have stayed in this hotel for like almost two months. Clean rooms, neat washrooms and good size of rooms. The staff is very friendly at the reception and they will see to that all your requirements are taken care of. Yogendra who works as a bell boy is very spontaneous, as soon as he would ever see my husband or me holding any bags he would help us immediately to drop the bags either in the car or at the room. The breakfast buffet is lavish with a spread of poha/upma, pav bhaji, paneer burji, idlis, dosas, and eggs to order. The Captain Mr Arun is so warm and courteous, he actually made us feel like we are at home. He takes extreme effort to see that we don't miss home. During most breakfast we met the Training & Audit Manager Mr Nelson, he always on a regular basis checked whether we have no issues with our stay. The cleanliness and hygiene is very well maintained at Soul Restaurant.
My wife and I stayed here for six nights and received excellent service from all the staff. The hotel is clean and the free breakfast buffet each morning has a wide variety of breakfast foods. The restaurant manager, Nelson Pereira, is also very welcoming and made sure that we received everything that we needed. Room service was also excellent, and dinners taken in our room were not only excellent, but reasonably priced. The free copy of the Hindustan Times was another bonus that made us feel right at home.The location is also very quiet compared to many other places in Mumbai. I highly recommend this hotel for price, service, and cleanliness.
Possibly the best hotel in Legaspi with great views, and comfortable rooms. But for one or two improvements would be one to recommend. Booking: Very oddly as part of the booking I was asked for confidential details like the credit card csv, and my mothers maiden name – both of which I refused to give. Getting there: From the airport or town the road is a small winding one and easy to get lost – follow the signs and you should be OK Reception: The reception area is HUGE and contemporary. Check In: The staff are friendly but I was asked (as frequently asked in Philippines) to pay in full up front. However after paying 7000 pesos via credit card I was then asked for 500 pesos cash deposit for the key card…the hotel has my credit card details so why take the deposit? Rooms: Spacious and nicely furnished with a comfy bed. Mine on 2nd floor was right by the pool bar which could have been noisy if you wanted an early night or there was a party outside. Bathroom has a large walk in shower. Toiletries were somewhat lacking for the class of hotel and the shower gel dispenser was empty. The material used in the basin surrounds has become stained behind the basin looking pretty dirty. Higher rooms would get nice views over the city and Mount Mayon. Pool: The infinity pool with views over the city and mountain ….isn’t infinity because it was not full enough leaving it fairly shallow but very warm…a real shame cause filling it up as designed would have given a memorable pool. Having to sign for the pool towels was a little surprising (I think the hotel has had issues with guests stealing and not paying hence you seem to get asked to sign and/or pay a deposit for many things). Nice sun loungers and furniture Pool Bar: Elegant and great views. Limited choice of beers BUT reasonable at happy hour (6-9). Service is polite. A little irritating to be asked for a minimum payment to sit at a cabana (2500 pesos). You cannot order food from other restaurants at the bar but the fresh grilled fish is good, especially the sauces. A minor improvement would be to offer some bread to mop up the sauces. Breakfast Buffet: The main meal of the day – more main courses and rice than ever, leaving the selection of fresh fruit and cereal somewhat limited. No choices in the coffee. No fresh fruit juice either just sugar filled drinks in vibrant colours…oh and cake…loads of cake (for those like the ample sized lady I saw) for whom the day just cant start without 3 slices of Chocolate cake. All in all a very nice somewhat surprising hotel with a great location and facilities. A few improvements and it would be memorable.
As a three star hotel ,its excellent. I stayed there 4 nights. Room service, hotel staffs are very responsive and well mannered here. I just loved my hotel room (room no-204)attached veranda .its so wide and perfect place for evening coffee and chit chat.their breakfast item is limited but they serve it with great care and hospitality. I liked their interior ideas,they used their small places very innovatively.
Hotel is located at very near to linking road Mumbai. It's only 15 mins drive from airport too. Breakfast items were not too much but it served me. Room has attached big veranda. Probably this facilities is only available for 2nd floor.
I stayed for two nights, during my last business trip. The stay was very comfortable, and full points to cleanliness of bed/bathroom. To top it off, restaurant offers best in class cuisine, the staff were very polite and helpful.
Perfect Location, Well Maintained Rooms, Courteous and very supportive Staff, Delicious menus in Breakfast as well as for Lunch and Dinner. I have been staying here number of times and each time the experience is worth remembering and extremely satisfying.
The Oriental Residency is tastefully made to cater to family n friends The ambience is just perfect and classy for youngsters and elderly crowd too! Ofcousre the food is finger licking made by chef ahmed n his team with their recommendations keeping the guests list in mind. Last but not the least..amazing customer service from ahmed n his team. Kudos Guys! We will see u again soon Definitely highly recommend place
The hotel rated as a three star hotel is just a number, but the status of being a start hotel is a status that they deserve. To me it's not the facilities that mattered. The most important things thing was as to how i was treated. starting from the entrance first hello and to the room it was star class service. The staff was very nice and the service was on par to a five star hotel. When dining you don't have to look around to get the stewards attention, they are right there with a blink of an eye. A very special thank you to Mr. Nelson who was spear heading the service team. Good job keep it up. As far as the room comforts are concern " It's Value For Money". as first hand experience i love the place and for those wish to go to Mumbai. This is the place to stay. this area has lots n lots of shopping to do ( you gotta find it though) See you guys in December with the entire Family. Regards Gordon White
