We stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Express in Newport. We had an excellent stay there. The room was very clean and very quiet. Yvette greeted us on our arrival and was so helpful and very pleasant to deal with. She did an excellent job! She was able to switch our room to a higher floor at our request. She was part of the reason our stay went so well! The hotel is very easy to access off I-40. We will definitely stay here again!
I was really pleased with the accommodations, location and staff of this hotel. Room with a Jacuzzi, clean and spacious. The front desk staff (evening and day) were friendly, helpful and polite. The hotel is located in a convenient walk to breakfast at Cracker Barrel or dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. We opted for a short drive for dinner. We asked the staff for dinner recommendations and they were spot on. We will stay here again next time we visit.
Jennifer and Alice was very nice and kind I came down to talk, they listened very well, if I needed any thing they gave it to me. and I would comeback any time I traveled with our company. They have a very nice clean pool, rooms are very clean, exercise room very nice and clean and very helpful.
I have reserved the Holiday Inn of Newport several times over the past year. Each time, I am greeted by the same clerk, Austin! This guy knows his stuff! He is quick to listen and answer my questions. Austin is clearly very efficient in his job and is a great asset to this hotel! Looking forward to my next visit! Thanks!
After a long icy trip from South Carolina we stopped for the night at this hotel. From the moment we arrived we had great service. Alice and Jennifer were so pleasant and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for sure and if we are ever traveling through again we will be sure to stop
As soon as I came in I got greeted by Austin and he was really nice and helped me out on where to eat at in Newport and even helped me get the tv to work in my room over all he was the nicest and greatest working person their he needs a raise
I recently stayed at the holiday inn express in Newport tn and I must say I loved it. The service was wonderful and the workers was extremely helpful and nice. Especially the front desk keeper Austin. He was the best front desk worker I've ever had and I travel a lot. Austin helped me with my tv. He is by far the best front desk worker I've seen.
The clerk at the desk was not a nice person and talked us into staying here by saying that the next one was a 45 minute drive of which is was 15 min. The room was nice but the breakfast was the worst one we have eaten at a hotel. No waffles, no cinnamon rolls they had biscuits but no gravy one flavor of yogurt no fresh fruit. I guess if you want just cereal this this is the place for you. just pitiful. We have stayed at hotels half the price and had twice the breakfast. Pool was cold and no hot tub. We keep a book and will mark this as a do not stop hotel.
We were traveling thru TN on New Years Eve and ran upon icy/snowy roads on I40 around the Newport area; I 40 was closed into the mountains. We were able to get one of the last 3 remaining rooms at the Holiday Inn Express, conveniently placed right off an exit, yet private enough to be quiet. Thank you to Yvette, the night time check-in clerk, for helping us with a better rate, and even giving us a room with a jacuzzi. She was a breath of fresh air on our desperate travel. The room was very clean and the bed slept wonderful. Nice place to stay
Under the assault of a surprise New Year's ice storm I40 closed as we approached the exit at this hotel. The front lobby was inundated with cold, hungry frustrated travellers looking for a warm bed. Yvette was at the front desk doing the work of 4 people smiling and soothing at every tired angry face. She dispatched us to rooms with reassurance and good cheer always providing a smile or a pat of the hand. We spent the previous night in Chicago at a $449 Hyatt that charged $9.99 for wifi, $36 to park and 14.99/ea. for breakfast. The room was small..no tub..tiny shower with jets overhead all night. We stayed here for 80% off that price AND free wifi, free parking and free breakfast that was hot, plentiful and fresh. Holiday Inn Express is our new go-to. Hyatt is soooooo last year with its marginal services and obscene prices. Think smart, live good at Holiday Inn. Thanks Yvette!!
