This was our first time in Joshua Tree & hoped for a great desert experience. Words cannot describe the peacefulness & beauty the area & the house provides. The valley views in the morning are awe inspiring however, the stargazing at night is especially spectacular! It’s a literal ocean of sparkling stars & planets. The listing & property is exactly as advertised. The home overall was warm & welcoming. The hosts have thought of every possible need from kitchen appliances, table/glassware, kitchen tools, coffee/tee & bottled water stations. We did cook a meal one evening & the kitchen offered everything we needed. The living room area has a large dining table, a bar, & a slot machine! Tokens are provided to play to your hearts content! There is also a large TV in the living room & one in each bedroom w/a Roku where you can log-into your own personal streaming accounts, & up a specific time/date for automatic logout. It was super easy to use. There is an office, which I did use, w/strong & clear WIFI connectivity & also had a wireless keyboard & mouse, & all the chargers you could ask for. The bedrooms ea. has a king bed, w/blackout shades, a clothes-steamer, & extra pillows/blankets. Another nice touch was the smart-device charging stations on the nightstands had both USB ports & traditional plug-in options. The large bathroom, w/good water pressure, & towels were nice & plush. There are several seating & dining areas both inside & outside. Once outside there is a lovely covered patio as well as several decks to relax in the sun, as well as a beautiful glass gas-fire pit & a hot tub! There are hammocks & a BBQ which we did not use, but plan to on a future visit. The location is perfectly situated just outside of Joshua Tree National Park & not too far from 29 Palms & Desert Hot Springs. A perfect location for Coachella, the Morongo Valley Music Festival, or the Hot Air Balloon Festival. However, the one minor issue is the unpaved road between the HWY & the house can be a bit challenging. If you own an SUV, I highly recommend bringing that. The road is not recommended for low profile cars - it's very bumpy/rocky. Technically, it’s a short distance btwn the HWY & the house, maybe 1/2 mile, but we had to drive slowly especially at night, so it took a bit longer getting in/out. So, I highly recommend arriving during the day, otherwise I suggest picking-up your groceries/supplies before check-in. Other than that, we loved it!
