I have come here over the years for several reasons: meditation, lunch, dinner, workshops, weddings...you name it. This place is awesome, magic and fundamental to your soul, so, if you want to be in a place that contacts with your spirit and want some great service, have a get-away weekend and drop by. There are plenty of choices as to what to do and how long you wish to stay that you will find a spa day, or a romantic weekend, or a detox week to suit your needs. I recently had lunch with my family, late lunch, and even though it was hot and not breezy at all, we had a wonderful time. Totally recommend the vegan burger and the service is always warm and precise.

La Mision del Sol is a wonderful respite if you are looking for an enclosed spot of beauty and peace. The grounds are a green oasis, very relaxing. The Sunday brunch is abundant and spectacular in the array of Mexican breakfast offerings as well as eggs and French Toast. The staff in the dining area are great. On the grounds there are all sorts of Spa resources from saunas to jacuzzi to a pool, gym and tennis courts. The only two downsides to La Mision were there wasn't much description of the offerings in English and there wasn't anything nearby to do outside the hotel. You had to taxi or have your own car to get to any other activities in Cuernavaca. Aside from that a most pleasant and relaxing sp

We went there because we had a nearby wedding. We had been in the past. Used to be a great place. Now is full of problems. Your car is received by the valet parking, and then you have to wait till a golf cart picks you up, took a lot. Finally we arrived to our room. We had to change up to attend the wedding. We realized there was no shampoo. It took ages before they brought it. Then, that there was no hair dryer, it came fast, but it was the most basic model. No kleenex in the room We went to the wedding late, they could not find the car. We took a taxi. I phoned and they had found the car. Back from the wedding, ages again till the golf cart. THe bed was old, A queen size, not king. It smelled as if people had smoked recently (too late to try to change it, we knew the hotel was full) And a very noisy restaurant. A very loud Jazz live saxo. It used to be a relaxed place the motto of is Spa is "Apaga el ruido, enciende tu espíritu". Turn off the noise, turn on your spirit

Just an hour away from Mexico City there is a wonderful resort and Spa. It is a nice place to rest and take it easy in general wonderful installations and good massage. The food it is good and the weather is great.

since we arrived we enjoyed our stay in this beautiful and quiet resort. they picked up us in a golf kart and drove through beautiful landscape, they took us to the main living room in which we had our check in done super fast, we stayed at a very comfortable and spacious room, bathroom had two showers, we also had a balcony with lovely views of palms, trees and water ponds. sunday bruch also was very nice!

Cuernavaca is a getaway place for those of us who live in Mexico City. It is Famous for having Spring almost year round. The altitude and weather have attracted lots of americans to have a home here, specially for people over 60. Mision del Sol is the creation of a german woman that really did a MAGNIFICENT job in mixing local with international concepts. Every detail has been studied up ti the bricks, design, layout and architecture. I could write an SA about it but I'd rather leave you with the idea that this is a world class SPA with a UNIQUE concept that uses all mexican material, concepts, and culture embedded to create a unique SPA that can NOT be compared to any other one in the world due to it's unique fusion. Everything is thoroughly planned so that you RELAX and enjoy a Beautiful place. Food is very good using mexican cuisine as the base for all of their creations. Rooms are designed to get a perfect equilibrium in every detail ALL thought and planned for you perfect getaway. You have to live it to understand it. it's a bit like the hotel in Cappadocia Turkey that was built in the underground city of cappadocia . You just have to go to understand it (no comparison intended).

The resort is gorgeous. The rooms are excellent. The pool is nice. The jacuzzi should be much hotter. The temazcal is quite an experience, though not for the weak. The staff seemed a little confused. They didnt know where the sauna was and at what time it was open. We were told till 10pm when in fact it was 8pm. This caused many problems as my girlfriend and I wanted to enjoy a sauna after we had arrived. When we arrived half past 8, there was no one in the spa area to inform us. All in all a nice play to relax that would be better served by more competent staff. More signs would be helpful as well.

From the arrival moment till departure, it's an interesting experience. The entire place is composed of one or two-stories rustic-looking buildings made with adobe clay. The rooms have high ceilings and a small dome, and even though they have AC, it is not that necessary. Nice relaxing ambience music in the rooms. No bathtub, but the twin-showers is a nice touch for a couple's simultaneous bath. No TV anywhere (!?). Internet available in selected areas. Lots of soothing, relaxing activities, swimming, spa, jacuzzi, massages, yoga, tai chi lessons, I think there were even Buddhist or Hindu music sessions. With a gourmet restaurant, not many entrées from which to chose. What I had was a bit odd but with excellent flavor. Sunday breakfast buffet is plentiful, although with a bit strange "organic" selection of dishes. One "detail" to fix is the gym, lots of equipment but very old, some even rusty. The fixed bikes are extremely uncomfortable. Also the basketball court is in bad shape. Last, be advised to take bug repellent, as there will be mosquitoes in the open areas close to the gardens.

I'm not sure how many hotels you can find like Misión del Sol. (Adobe, cantera rock and wood) the 3 main elements to this amazing place. This is the place to take out the stress of life, a soon as you walked in (no cars allow in the premises) you can feel the good energy coming from the vegetation, water fountains, water running along the side wals the beautiful architecture and more... it is just amazing and very relaxing site. They offer different services like full SPA, meditation, Temazcal, jacuzzi, yoga, and more. Note: no TV or Radios on the rooms YES!!! No WiFi YES!!!! no newspapers YES!!!! JUST ENJOY NATURE AND LET YOUR SELF BE PAMPER BY THE AMAZING STAFF.

The hotel is a little way out of Cuernavaca, but that means you escape from the noise and chaos from the city, it feels like its own little cosmos of peace and quiet. Bring a book if you're spending some nights, since rooms have no tv (there's some available althought I suggest completely disconnecting), as well as very few areas with wi-fi. The food is great and really healthy, and the spa area has some great services. Do get a massage (I enjoyed Holistic).
