Our first night was in a room on the 16th floor room 165. This room was horrible it had not been updated since probably when the hotel was built. The view was incredible but the room not habitable. No one should stay in this room unless they remodel it. We changed our room after the first night and we were given a more decent room.
The worst cleanliness ever seen in any hotel . Found 2 huge cobwebs - one in my room and the other in the room balcony . Staff reaction and apathy was beyond belief . V average breakfast spread in quality and quantity. The only thing going for this hotel is the view which is spectacular.
The great thing about this hotel is that all rooms have an amazing lake view. We stayed in the classic room and had views of the lake on one side and of the city/mountains from another window. The bed was very comfortable and each room has AC. The staff at the hotel and at the bar were very attentive and welcoming. I would agree with some other reviewers that this hotel is not really a 4-star hotel. The hotel looks nice from the outside and the lobby is also nice. However, we noticed that the rooms (excluding the awesome view) look like they belong to a motel or 2-star hotel. The reason for this was cleanliness. There were stains on the walls, bedscarf, on the curtains and on the lamps. The pillow cases had holes on them; parts of the carpet were sticking out and also had stains. I’m personally not a fan of carpets, they are dirty and terrible for people with allergies like me. It might be easier to maintain the cleanliness of hotel rooms without them. There were also spiderwebs on the balcony. The rooms just need some more TLC from management in order for the hotel to truly have a 4-star rating. I recommend this hotel, just keep those things in mind when booking it.
We had a lovely stay at the Eurotel, just 5 minutes walk from the train station and right on the lake. Such a beautiful view and easy access to all the sights. Comfortable beds, bathroom could do with an upgrade but overall it was good. Would stay again!
This hotel sits directly on the lake. Rooms are fresh and have lovely opening windows (not so great if you have toddlers). Location is perfect. Close to train station etc. we were on the northern side and there was a fair amount of noise from nightclubs nearby until 5am!! Breakfast was good. Hotel has zero character, but the view makes up for it!
We had a spacious room with a wonderful view of Lake Geneva. Located very close to the railway station and on the lakefront. Lots of restaurants nearby. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant but it looked very nice with friendly staff.
My boyfriend and I stopped here as part of a European road trip to celebrate an anniversary. All I can say is, wow! What a spectacular view this hotel offered. We had 16th floor room with views out of every window and a lovely balcony to enjoy a bottle of something sparkling in. Our bed was lovely and comfortable and we found the staff spoke good English. A short walk to shops and everywhere you look, the view is gorgeous. We were lucky with the weather and had blue skies both days. Loved the reserved parking as well in the underground garage - The boyfriend is very protective of his car and he slept better knowing his baby was safe and well haha! Was also useful to have a lift that took us right to the garage so we could pack our suitcases with ease. The only negative is that the furniture could do with a little bit of an upgrade, for such a beautiful balcony we had a very cheap looking set of table and chairs, but perhaps it was just me. We would 100% stay again - ask for a room on the 16th floor, you will not be disappointed!
We had a delightful stay at Eurotel in Montreux. We had two nice rooms that faced the lake. It is an interesting hotel. I believe all the rooms face the lake. The rooms were spacious, nice, and clean. Everyone we dealt with did a great job. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back again.
lf you are here for a day or two, pay for the upgrade. Their best rooms have a 270º view of the lake and town, and a decent-sized patio for you to enjoy it on. Grab a bottle of sparkling (small c-stores are nearby) and get some ice from the bar, and watch the sun set over Lac Leman. The staff speaks serviceable English. l would avoid the restaurant; too expensive for what you get.
I am staying in this hotel currently Hotel is rated four star but it is not above 3 star The rooms are good but amenities In rooms are very less Am staying in junior suite room but they don’t keep glasses in room Also their room service is poor no one understand English it is difficult to talk with them We have to go down to reception to get even a tea bag for mini bar Rooms are all lake view but hospitality is poor Really having bad experience I selected poor hotel to stay in montreux feeling like waste of money
