It was really comfortable
It was a great place to stay on our way to Nova Scotia.
I booked this hotel because it was advertised as pet friendly, it is not anymore. I am not sure of whether that changed after we checked in and complained about the extra feedback nobody told us about (40 CAD per night for the pet, plus 30 CAD to put us in "the pet room"). Before booking, I called the hotel directly to make sure they were pet friendly and they confirmed it, but the first thing the recepcionist told me when I walked in was that they do not allow pets. Weird, since they had a "pet room" available. She told me about the extra charges and instead of putting a hold in my credit card until I could speak with the manager the next morning, she made me sign a paper accepting the extra charges, or else I could just choose not to stay there (I had already payed my reservation in full through Orbitz). When I got a hold of the manager at check out, she didn't even listen to me and the first thing she said was that she was not going to refund the extra charges. She was rude and clearly had no training treating with customers, it showed she only cared about making money. The room was just regular. Never staying there again, even without the extra charges it was way overpriced for what it was.
