We were at this hotel for two nights over a weekend in January for a Rugby match. Hotel is centrally located altho there are quite a lot of steps up to the central square (for elderly people)....the rooms are very small but the beds were very comfy, the rooms were all very warm tho and even tho we turned down the heat we had to sleep with windows open each night. It was quiet tho so we did sleep. Bathrooms are ok, but towels are thin and not great as is the toilet paper. Mini bar is in room but no wine in it only beer and there are no safes in the rooms either. Breakfast was ok, the usual stuff with orange juice etc..not a huge selection of cheeses and fruit compared to other hotels in France but it was ok. One thing we did like were the staff were lovely, so friendly and always ready to chat with us. We were very surprised on the Saturday night to find the bar was shut at 11 pm.....dont know if this is normal.
Very kind and welcoming staff, nice facility in an excellent location within walking distance to the city center and the main attractions of the city including the train station by taking the walkways through the grounds of the Polygons Montpellier shopping center which is just behind the hotel building. Rooms are small considering families but for solos and couples they are very comfortable. The hotel restaurant has fine food, extremely well presented and full of flavor so kudos to the chef for a memorable meal
This hotel is very conveniently located behind the Polygon shopping centre and la Place de Comedie The hotel was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. If you're driving there's a secure underground cart park (fee payable) There is a multitude of bars and cafes within easy reach and most sights are in walking distance
This a pretty standard modern hotel. I stayed on my own for one night. The room was spacious and clean but not especially comfortable. The air conditioning was not working and I did not realise until morning that the window would open! The inclusive breakfast was very good and the hotel is well located near the main city square.
I loved my stay here - I was upgraded to a privilege room which had different mood lights, a coffee machine, a free minibar of soft drinks and a wonderful deep Italian bath where I had a lovely relaxing bath. Staff were friendly and helpful and I could have a late check in. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. I look forward to coming again and staying
Great for business. Located in a quiet side of the Centre Comedie. The rooms were clean and newly refurbished - despite the Privilege room - still very very small. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was reasonable. Convenient to the shopping centre next to the hotel.
I generally like Mercure properties. This location was perfect for my business trip. And the property seems well maintained. but i suspect that I won't return. One, terrible access to power outlets. 2 accessible outlets, both on the floor in poor locations. Two, no fitness facility. Three. a poor shower inside a high walled tube, with a nozzle that was no higher than my chest. very unsatisfying.
Arrival welcome was average on reception. I got the necessary information, thats all! The Privilage Room was very nice and cleen and got everything you nee. The interior was stylish and pleasant for me. I can recommend the stay here.
Just a few minutes walk ftom the Place du Comedie, and the more modern shopping mall, this hotel is clean and safe. I stayed in one of the executive rooms which was very nice, and the drinks in the mini bar were all included in the price (non-alcoholic). My tip here would be not to have room over the bar area. The windows in my room were poor at blocking noise. If I could speak French I would have understood every word spoken, until 12am. My constant complaint is that there is no English TV channels, except CNN and BBC News. Breakfast was ok, pretty simple continental, it did have a slight whiff of blocked drains to accompany the experience. That could have been a temporary problem, I only stayed for one night. Travelled on business, would return as a business traveller.
Stayed in this hotel before Good location Rooms on the 4th floor are given as non smoking however very smelly and A/c wasn't working Don't be surprised they will knock the door even if you have a don't disturb sign Pls have with you a bottle opener as there's only one bottle opener in the hotel (as per the room service attendants) however they still sell you bottled water that needs openers Room service attendants don't speak any foreign language and not interested to help or sell their product Reception evening shift : no welcome no smile no luggage assistance When I did room change it was either now or never! No luggage assistance on your room change as this is your decision to move room hardly sent me a trolley that I had to drive my self with my son to the room Breakfast was ok - varieties are fine and the waitress was very polite - Thank you! No manager on duty or any one in charge in the afternoons so to avoid any complaints Never again ! Khaled & Hisham
