It is not fair because the hotel looks so impressive and amazing on the photos but in reality is absolutely a big disapointement. The hotel is not in good shape anymore. It is urgent need of a new management who should close the hotel and make a complete renovation. Although the hotel is at a very nice loation, I will not recommend anyone to come there. SORRY FOR BEAUTIFUL PLACE BUDVA.
This is a big hotel near old city of Budva. The hotel does not look such a big though. Good location. Own beach, three pools. Looks nice. Good consierge service. Our villa was nice, living room upstairs, bedroom downstairs. Separate big shower, also bath. Towels not top quality, separate big towels for beach use by card (included). Big dining room and lot of customers there. Waiter service not so good. Free wifi is here and there but not everywhere. For families and younger couples. For older I would recommend Aman Sveti Stefan.
Lot of food but the warm dishes are not warm enough. Service is not perfect. We were excepting lot more.............breakfast time is absolutely ok, until 10.30. Second morning was better than the first one, hopefully the way goes better and better
Dingy reception. Poor check in-experience. Generally the check in staff was very rude to customers. Kept telling people. We are busy. Well then staff appropriately. Have a bad and confusing layout. The locker rooms in the pool area are not clean and very cramped. Stayed in a villa. Just not worth the price for what you get. Good location - everything else is below par.
We stayed at this hotel three nights beginning July 2017 with another family and their kids. The hotel is beautifully built on the edge of budva and location was also excellent. The hotel management needs to give special attention to hygiene of the hotel and training of their staff. The pool was murky, dirty jacuzzi and housekeeping barely took 10 mins to clean out the rooms everyday. The breakfast buffet was an orgy of food - lots of variety but the space too large and unmanageable. People had poked their spoons into different bowls without any care for mixing!!Please don't expect a fresh egg station either! The staff can't communicate in English properly and every answer is a No! The cappuccino from the automatic dispenser was also grey and tasteless! I can go on... The suite we stayed at had a great view of the old town and the sea so that's a big plus- however there were no glasses, mugs or electric kettle, cutlery for the guests! No facial tissues either. I understand that many hotels do not give irons to their guests but perhaps the management can consider a common room for ironing- we had to pay for ironing separately. The in-room breakfast called in by friends was bland too- we ended up eating out every time! Th concierge service on the other hand was excellent! Helped us spend most of our time outside the hotel! Would not recommend Avala!
First of all, Fronzie from Nottingham - Your problems can be called 'learned helplessness'. The hotel is really good, though there can be some inadequacies, generally speaking, there is nothing to complain of. The location is perfect, private beach in Budva - what a luxury! There never seem to be too many people, you can easily find your place, be it on the beach or pool or restaurant. We always had our issues solved and got good advice to explore the surroundings. The hotel offers great taxi service that makes travelling especially easy and comfortable.
We just stayed in this hotel a few days ago. The location of this hotel is amazing, it's literally down the steps to old town as well as many restaurants. The hotel has a nice size beach area where you get 2 chairs and an umbrella. It also has an indoor and outdoor pool with a small jacuzzi ( that wasn't as hot as I like it ) as well as sauna. The standard rooms are not huge but come with a nice balcony. The location makes it a perfect place to stay
Let's start that the hotel is not 5 stars hotel in our opinion not even 4. Room was big, but a bit dirty with sewerage smell in the bathroom. Lights are off because they try to save money in the halls and it takes too long till it work so you walk in the dark. Hotel is all inclusive but there is no all inclusive bar near the pool or beach - really unfair. We couldn't even get a glass of ice near the pool as the bartender asked for what do we need ice... Hotel has a lot of potential but maintained bad now I actually ask myself why I didn't take photos... Not saying not to go, but lower your expectations this hotel is not as we expected! Staff in the bar - very bad Receptionists - good (malka was very good) Staff has to learn English! We won't go back.
Stayed here for a week with other family members and we all enjoyed our time here. The rooms plenty big enough with a lovely bathroom and a bed that was extremely comfortable. Nibbles and drinks were in the fridge if you wanted them with the price list left on the side. Breakfast was plentiful and I honestly don't think they could offer any more choice as they seemed to have everything covered. The staff were all friendly and polite and would always smile. We ate out in the old town every evening so can't comment on the evening meals. It's a perfect stop if you want to explore the old town and we loved spending our evenings having wonderful food and drink.
Beautiful hotel and amazing spa treatments. The spa service is excellent. I recommend to anyone who wants to relax. The hotel is in a good location. The price corresponds to the quality of the service. Everyone is kind.
