We had a truly wonderful stay at the condo on Smith Mountain Lake. From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The condo itself was well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing visit, from kitchen essentials to cozy touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The views of the lake were absolutely stunning, and waking up each morning to the peaceful water and fresh air was such a treat. The location was perfect for both relaxation and activities. We enjoyed having access to the kayaks and being able to spend time out on the water, as well as exploring nearby trails and local spots around the lake. In the evenings, it was so nice to sit out on the balcony, unwind, and take in the sunset. Our host was wonderful—very communicative, helpful, and kind. They made sure we had all the information we needed ahead of time and checked in to make sure our stay was going smoothly. That level of thoughtfulness really made our trip even better. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable and refreshing getaways we’ve had in a while. The combination of a beautiful condo, a peaceful lake setting, and a thoughtful host made it a five-star experience. We would absolutely love to return and highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a relaxing, memorable escape at Smith Mountain Lake

This was such a sweet property! There were so many nice little touches. An amazing coffee bar, a chocolate bar to enjoy, it truly felt like a home away from home for our little lake stay. Bernard’s Landing had some awesome amenities- an indoor pool for our rainy day. Loved this property, would visit again!

Great place on the lake

Perfect place to stay on Smith Mountail Lake. Walking distance to any lake activity you would want plus one of the best restaurants around. Very clean with terrific communication with owner. Only note is even though occupancy says for 4, it is really 2 adults, 2 children. We Intended for 4 adults to stay and had to make other accommodations for 2nd couple. Will definitely rebook if we have another house overflow issue.

The hosts considered every detail, from the decor to the amenities. I loved the aesthetic details: shampoo, shower gel, lotion, as well as the practical things: coffee station, well equipped kitchen, ample towels, sheets, etc. There were even a few kitchen and bathroom items, in case you forgot something. This condo and its location were perfectly charming.

Cute condo right on the water

Easy booking, parking, check-in, and check-out. Host was very responsive. Super cute little condo steps from the water with nice lake view. Ground floor, but several steps down to the entranceWalkable to a little sandy beach that my 20-month-old loved. Walk or very short drive to indoor pool, indoor hot tub, sauna, steam room, gym, outdoor pool, 1' deep kiddie pool, tennis and pickleball. My husband brought his tennis racket and a basket of balls and enjoyed hitting nearby during toddler naps. Kayaks and life vests on the back porch, but we didn't use them this timeNapoli's, the restaurant next door, was fancy and yummy (but sadly only open limited days/hours, and reservations recommended). Cilantro's, the Mexican restaurant, was a bit of a drive, but the fresh fruit margarita and special birria tacos they had that day were worth it. Homestead Creamery was a nice visit on a rainy day too: ice cream, milkshakes, sandwiches, and giftsIt was cool and rainy almost the whole week, but we still enjoyed the view, amenities, and restaurants. And the toddler loved the little lake beach no matter the weather!
