We stayed at Giannis for 5 nights and loved it! We contacted the hotel with our ferry arrival time and were collected in a mini van at the port, free of charge. Our room was huge! It was so nice to spread out over the 5 days. We were helped booking a rental car and a taxi to drop us at the airport. There is a laundry 50m from the hotel that was cheap and fast, great if you are an extended traveler. Restaurants and bars were also very close, usually 5min walk. My only gripe was the bed was hard, but so far I have found all beds hard in Greece.
We had a large comfortable room for a family of 4. The room had a Kitchenette and a little patio out the back door with table and chairs. George was Very helpful in answering any questions or directing us on were to go. Short walk to the downtown area. Was attentive to our needs and reached out and reserved a rental car. Nice stay at Gianni's Hotel.
Stayed with friends for 3 nights in August ! We had an amazing time in Milos, only made better by the hospitality of this hotel. It was perfectly clean and in a great location. Air con was also very good. The hotel was made even better by George who tended to our every need and was a genuinely caring man! If returned to Milos we would definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you George and your son!
We were moved against our will into a nearby hotel. Gianni is an arrogant character - if he takes to you, then he’s probably pleasant enough, but otherwise he treats guests as numbers through the door. Apparently the reason we had to move was that an old lady was taken ill in the room we were due to move into. Then it seemed it was a young boy who was ill. Then the family emerged from the room looking fit and healthy. Gianni will probably swear blind this was genuine but irrespective, it was his problem to sort out, not ours, but he gave us no choice, and we had a miserable night in the other shabby hotel as a result. Steer clear of this hotel, do not trust that your booking will be honoured, and seek elsewhere!!
Very nicely decorated rooms and functional. We could enjoy the patio on the garden to have breakfast. Mr George came to pick us up at the ferry and insisted to drive us back when leaving. The young gentleman at the reception gave us nice tips for restaurants in the surroundings. The apartment would gain from having more modern bathrooms with more flux in the water.
The location is perfect not only on the island, but also in Adamas. 5 minute casual walk to the port, 3 minute walk to the grocery store and bakeries and restaurants. Family business, and they're all genuinely kind and helpful - really want to make sure your needs are met, rooms are clean, and that you're enjoying your stay! Ask them for anything, and they'll do anything to can to help (live upstairs from front desk). The accommodations are clean and seemed to be redecorated. Wee stayed in room 12, which isn't in the main building but around the back. It wasn't the room we booked, but better! Cute room with lots of built-in shelfing, fridge, kettle, cups and saucers and teaspoons. Back door opened to patio with table and chairs and clothes line. Note, bathroom only has bar soap, so bring/buy shampoo. And port pick up is nice, but if you travel lightly then it's totally walkable (just slightly uphill) - lots of signage! We highly recommend Giannis, and would stay again!
I feel quite fortunate that I was able to experience the warmth and genuine hospitality afforded to me during my week long stay at Giannis Hotel Apartments in the port town of Adamas,Milos. My room,# 24,is a quiet, corner room on the ground floor with a large double bed, crafted with iron, and made up with excellent linens and comfy pillows, had a table and chairs inside and outside on the small balcony,a huge breakfast bar that essentially divided the room, creating a little kitchen area, and made the room more like a suite or a one room apartment,a fridge and kettle in addition to a nearly silent ac unit, perfect. However, what makes this place special is the owner Giannis,75 years young, and his daughter Effie. They were always around to help with any requests and their kindness and generous spirit was very much appreciated by this traveler. There was a positive vibe which translated into feeling welcomed and relaxed and I enjoyed spending some time in the lobby speaking with Effie while her adorable daughters,Christina and Maria were playing nearby, absolutely delightful.Thank you so much Giannis and Effie for looking after me and for caring about me as a person.
We first stayed with George 5 years ago. We returned again to a Milos this year and stayed with him again. He extends a really cheerful welcome and is very helpful. He will meet you at the port if requested. The rooms are cleaned daily and linen changed every 2 days.
Close to the ferry, but up a quiet street that soon tapers off into open fields, this was a very relaxing place to stay. We love Milos, and we loved having this hotel as our home base. The room was super clean, had nice cold air conditioning, a sweet balcony with a little table and cloths line over the edge for fast drying towels and suits, very comfortable bed, beautiful blue enameled shutters, and very quiet. The owners were warm and welcoming. They picked us up from the ferry for the short trip up to the hotel, which was great.
If you are looking for a resort experience go to santorini. If you want to explore the most beautiful beaches and coastlines in Greece, get yourself something modest in Adamas and get out every day! This accmodation is simple but exceptionally lovely- especially the balcony. Giannis is laid-back and relaxed- he will let you be independent if that's what you like but is also there at an instant to help you if you need transport or information. I LOVED my stay here. Absolutely perfect!
