My husband and I traveled to Milledgeville, GA, for a couple of days for a brief mini-vacation. Our room at Fairfield Inn & Suites Milledgeville was comfortable and quiet. The people at the front desk were helpful, and attentive to our needs. They graciously gave me a free toothbrush after I realized I had forgotten to pack mine. We had one issue of the bathroom door sticking (it did not bother us too much -- we just left the door slightly ajar during our stay). We did report it when we left. They thanked us for the feedback, and said they would repair it right away.
The room is spacious and clean. Mine had a small sitting area with a fridge, which was nice. The only issue is that a previous guest must have stored something with sour cream in it as there was quite an odor when the door was opened. Housekeeping should always check the fridge when a guest checks out to ensure this sort of minor problem is cleaned up. The bathroom is large and with oversized counter space. Complimentary breakfast is very nice. Went to use the pool and found the maintenance of it to be very, very questionable. I found numerous issues: 1. The door into the pool area would not open. Thought it was my key, but another guest could also not access and neither could the front desk personnel. Had to exit outside to the outdoor lounging area and then enter the indoor pool through that exterior door. 2. The W/P was non-functional. Was told it was closed for weeks while awaiting parts. (Weeks??? This hotel is very close to both Macon & Atlanta) Quite a disappointment since I intentionally booked this hotel in order to use these facilities. 3. When arriving at 4 pm there were absolutely no towels in the area. A handful of used towels were in the "used" bin and they appeared to have been there quite awhile. The front desk had to asked to bring over more towels. The next day I noticed the old towels were still in the bin. 4. There was food left all over a table and the floor area near the table. The next day I noticed this food spillage remained present. No one had been in the area in 24 hours to clean it up. 5. The handicap access chair into the pool was tipping over. 6. This was most concerning.......there was absolutely no smell of chlorine when you walked into the pool area. Even when cupping my hands with pool water and bringing it up to smell there was absolutely no scent of chlorine. Whenever I have walked into an indoor pool, whether at a health club or a hotel, there is always the smell of chlorination in the air. Certainly when coming right up onto the water you can smell it. Oftentimes the chlorination will even cling to hands or clothing. I did not find that here. Given the untidy and unkempt appearance of the entire facility I had serious concerns about the maintenance and hygiene of the pool. I obviously made the decision not to go for a swim.

My husband and I visited this property February 15th. I was impressed by the décor of the lobby. Josh was working the desk. Check in was very pleasant. Our room was comfortable and clean and the shower was wonderful Kudos to Josh for his representation of great Marriott service.
Very nice, clean hotel. We have found, in our many travels, that staying at a Fairfield Inn is a GREAT bet!!! The staff, breakfast, price and rooms can’t be be beat for these Marriott brands. We always try to find one wherever we go.
the hotel is clean, staff are friendly & helpful. Breakfast is one of the best I have had with eggs, grits & oatmeal, cereal, 2 meat selections. area is quiet but you are located 5 mins away from shopping and restaurants.
This was my first visit to Fairfield Inn & Suites in Milledgeville. I arrived at approximately 5:30 PM. I work in government, so I normally complete a hotel/motel tax exempt form at check-in. I passed the form to the front desk clerk, he tossed it aside. He did not provide elevator directions, WiFi login or breakfast times. My room was clean but it was not furnished with towels. Inquired with a young woman in housekeeping who was on the floor. Waited 30 minutes, no towels. I got towels 90 minutes after I got to my room. The drapes in my room were sagging in the middle because they were not hooked. I had to have my final bill adjusted to reflect the meaningless tax exempt form that was provided at check-in. Customer service was very relaxed and somewhat unprofessional. I may know the spill, but I want it given to me as a paying customer.
Seemingly Booked - But Plenty of Rooms! As always Marriott does a fantastic job - but competition is creeping up alongside. Not much to report since this an excellent hotel with beautiful rooms. Only problem we had (if ever) were the pillows. Had a terrible time trying to get them to work with me. Kind of a rotten night's sleep. Otherwise, breakfast was good and did the trick for the morning.
Our stay at this Fairfield Inn in Millidgeville is alway perfect from check-in to check-out. Quiet, clean comfortable rooms at a fair price. The breakfast area offers a variety of foods in a clean, pleasant area. What more can you ask for?!
This is nice property and fairly new. Not sure how old but it is located a little outside the downtown district with plenty of restaurants and a mall in easy driving distance. The employees are nice and engaging.
