I booked this hotel as I found a good deal for a 4 night stay. Then I started to read the reviews and I gave myself a few sleepless nights worrying that I hadn't chosen very wisely. However, I am pleased to say that I had made a good choice and was very happy with this hotel. It's situated in a quiet area (but with a metro stop being built a couple of streets away, I expect that the area will become much busier in the coming years) and is very walkable into the Piazza Del Duomo (15-20 minutes). Our suite on the first floor was very spacious and clean. Plenty of storage space and room to spread out. The bathroom was also spacious. My son had a very comfortable fold down sofa bed to sleep on. Breakfast is a basic continental breakfast but no complaints. I ate well every day and had a nice coffee with breakfast every day. My only negative comments would be that the bath/shower is not of a 4-start standard. The shower head is attached to the tap and although it was fine for me (at 5' 4") anyone much taller would struggle as the hose isn't that long. It could also have been doing with some tidying up. Messily put together and some mould. I reckon this would be a simple job to upgrade - the rest of the bathroom was fine. Having said that, I had a nice hot bath/shower every day. The mini bar fridge wasn't cold (but we weren't using it anyway) and it wasn't clear how the air con worked (but we didn't need it as it was still fresh enough outside that opening the window cooled us down). I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. It was so peaceful and quiet within the hotel and the surrounding area. Clean, tidy and welcoming. Thank you.
What a great experience! Hotel has a lobby however, we were provided with a private apartment with our own entrance right on the street of Milan. Felt like city living! The room was so modern, in decor, lighting, televisions built into the mirrors, modern bath and color scheme. They even provide a cell phone free of charge for your use while visiting Milan for wifi, maps, etc.. Mini kitchen with stove, fridge, utensils, etc... and so much closet space. Free Italian breakfast buffet included. Easy 30 minute walk to the duomo and piazza where all the restaurants and attractions are located. Wish we were here for more than one night. Great place to stay if you plan to be in Milan for a few days.
Friendly staff. A/C wasn't cold which it is summer but still would like it cooler in the room. There was a little bit of walk to get anywhere. I would probably look around for more options before deciding to book this hotel.
Really lovely and superbly located little boutique hotel to East of Milan Centre. Easy walking distance from everything. Comfortable and very well well equipped suite and excellent breakfasts. Charming friendly helpful staff with good English for those short on the local language. Only downside is slightly quirky electrical switchery which kept us guessing a bit. Plus the beautiful bathroom had some minor dysfunctionalities. A shower tap protruding from the centre rear of the cubicle so you keep switching the shower off. A non functioning sink plug that was made to work by turning it upside down. And the sink taps were flopping about a bit. But lovely tiling and everything so we managed just fine. Pricing pretty reasonable too. Happy to recommend thoroughly.
A Beautiful property in the Fashion District of Milan:) The staff was Very helpful & Welcoming♡ There is a Townhouse 33 property adjoining & both share a Fabulous Breakfast area...an Amazingly Designed space for Greeting the Day☆♡ Our room was comfortable & Top Notch!
On arrival at the hotel it wasn't at all easy to locate the reception, or to find any employees. However, after about ten minutes a very obliging male showed us the way. The receptionist was also extremely helpful with directions, restaurant reservations, taxis etc. The downstairs at first was a little disappointing as it looked tired. However the room was spotless, and the huge bed was very comfortable. We were recommended we spend the evening at the Naviglio ( the canal area of the city). Oh wow it's amazing. So buzzy and entertaining definitely not to be missed! We had the most superb dinner there in El Brellin. Expensive but so worth the money. Breakfast the following morning was super. Again spotlessly served by smiley staff with a lovely warm atmosphere. The only downside was that hotel is quite a walk from the Duomo etc. As you also walk quite a lot investigating the central Plaza area you may want to jump in a taxi back.
Searching for an alternative and change of scenery I saw the site of the Townhouse hotels in Milan. They run a number of hotels in Milano, Torino and another one in the Marche region which we will visit later on this week. The seven star Milano Duomo Galleria is also theirs, but we were not allowed to spend a nightly rate of 400€ + a room, so we choose Townhouse 31 (or is it 33? I/m not shure) Reaching the hotel by car it looked like we would have trouble finding a parking space, but they have made arrangement with a nearby carpark where we were able to leave the car guarded... felt save and secured. Checking in was professional and quick, rooms were very spacious and clean: classic or better said timeless designed, good range of pleasantly smelling toiletries and overall comfortable.... the sink faucet clearly had be leaking for a long time: this needed attention, as did the oak floorboards (what is this with designers and wooden floors in bathrooms? Wood and water is not a happy marriage...) which were screaming for some varnish and tlc. Breakfast is served outside when possible and in our case because of some light rain inside: good Italian style buffet with choice of hot and cold drinks, fresh orange juice at a surcharge. This hotel is located near the historic center but you'll need (public) transportation almost every time.... This boutique hotels certainly worth a visit: prices are fair and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Rooms - are modern, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast - love the breakfast style, big table, great for meeting other guests. Location - good location, within 15 minutes walk, you are at the center of the hotel. Parking - have to walk 1 block for your parking, as it's outsourced.
TownHouse31 went above and beyond during my stay in Europe. I had a lot of luggage because I was moving back to the States and TH31 held my luggage free of charge, for a week while I traveled. When I checked into the hotel, my luggage was already in my room. The room was clean, updated bathroom, comfortable and a non touristy location. The breakfast had a nice selection of foods and the cappuccino was the best I had while I was in town. When I checked out, the staff was helpful in loading all of my luggage in the car. I left some toiletries behind because they did not fit in my luggage, and the hotel emailed to ask if I would be in Milano again soon or if they could ship them to me. I was so impressed! The staff goes above and beyond to accommodate your every need and I highly recommend this wonderful boutique hotel.
Is was our last stop traveling around Italy, room was great very spacious and clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. One night we asked for a good restraunt and were recommended one about 10 minutes away which was nice. Would defiantly recommend. Is a little bit of a walk into Milan around 15/20 minute walk but it didn't bother us.
