This is overall a nice hotel in the center of Milan by the central train station but I found my room to be very small allowing for only a bed and a desk. bathroom was modern but shower was this tiny cubicle which I guess quiet a few people will have a problem to squeeze into. More important is that the entrance of the hotel has two sents of 6-7 steps each which need to be climbed in order to get to reception. This of course makes this hotel completely unsuitable for people who cannot climb steps (up or down) and requires all guests to carry their luggage over the steps (no elevator).
Firstly I have to admit this was a flying stopover while on business, but what short impressions I had of the hotel were not good. Check-in at reception was sooooooo slow, but I soon realised why - front of house kept answering calls on his personal mobile which obviously took priority to his customers. Absolutely no customer service. Rooms are ok, even with a leaky air conditioning system, but I would not actively seek this place out again. See my other reviews for better recommendations in Milan, places where the personal touch counts for everything.
We recently stayed at the Starhotels Ritz as we were in Milan to see Little Mix at the Mediolanum Forum. The hotel itself was easy to find and quite modern. The room was a little small for what was advertised as a deluxe, but it had all the required amenities. The staff here were absolutely perfect and so keen to help us with any questions. The man on reception with dark hair and a short dark beard (sorry I can't remember his name now) was so kind and helpful and gave us local advice. Daniel (I think was his name) who worked on the bar was really friendly and chatted to us while we had a drink before the concert. We would definitely return. Thank you!
We stayed here for 5 days, absolutely fab. Perfect location, rooms spotless clean. Staff very nice and accommodating. Breakfast had everything from hot food to breads croissants fruit yogurts cereals. Rooms had plenty room and bathroom very modern and big. 5 star for this hotel comes highly recommended by us.
We recently visited Milan to take in the sights and visit San Siro for the football. Starhotels Ritz, just off Corso Buenos Aires, turned out to be the ideal base, with two metro stops just a few minutes from the hotel and it being just a 10/15 minute walk from Milano Centrale, where we arrived after flying in to Maplensa. The rooms were of ample size, with really comfy beds and a pillow brochure to make for a great night sleep. The bathroom was nice and modern, as was the rest of the hotel. The buffet breakfast did the job of preparing us for the day, although if you miss it (which we did one day) there are plenty of places nearby to grab something. For those looking to see the city by foot, you can walk to the Duomo in about 30mins - it's pretty much a straight line and impossible to get lost. The metro runs right to the centre as well, and you've got plenty of shops right on your doorstep. Location wise, this was great for what we wanted to do - see the city by day, and enjoy a nice dinner and a few drinks in the evening, and for that I'd definitely recommend it.
Very disappointed we were here for my daughters eighteenth birthday and the restaurant was to die for food experience was amazing however not tonight. I am astounded we ordered 2 starters and 2 mains and when the food arrived the order was 1 of each which we were told there was a mistake. I understand mistakes can be made but the starter was not to my taste at all again not the waiters fault but this is all too much of a wrong impression for me. I won't be back so sad as the first time was fabulous.
We thought this hotel was great. It's in a really good location with some nice nearby restaurants, close to metro stops, a lovely park and just a short walk from Milan Centrale station. Our room was really spacious with a huge bathroom, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The room was stocked with tea/coffee and toiletries, and there's also a gym and good wifi. Breakfast was great, the only negative that at busy times it is not restocked quickly enough, particularly the hot food.
We enjoyed our stay in Milan. The hotel was good without being spectacultar. The double room was nice and had a balcony view. It was clean and stylish. Breakfast was OK I would say about average for a hotel breakfast. I don't know the norm for hotels in Italy so it was a little difficult to judge.
First time in Milan ,hotel Ritz very good , nice room upgrade for our anniversary thanks Daniello, All staff very good . Take the Malpenza Express train from Airport to Milan Central look for Metro green line to loreto change to Red line to Lima one stop 300 yards to hotel. Back to hotel, we ate out so can't help with meals but looked nice clean rooms comfy bed good shower, reception recommended Cavallini restaurant 10 mins walk fantastic also full of local Milan trendies models and movie star types obviously the place to be seen but prices good for top nosh, Hope you enjoy Milan Metro good same as any big city
The elevator is really small enough for two people and two cases no more! There is no ramp as you come in and there is a considerable amount of stairs which can prove difficult if you case is heavy! The breakfast isn't great. Beside those ever so slight negatives the hotel is spotless the rooms are clean, the location is great and easy to navigate from there are some lovely shops and bars nearby.
