The absolute best thing about this hotel is the staff they are wonderful and better than you’d find at a high end hotel. The worst thing hands down is the Wi-Fi. It’s unsecured and hardly works at night if at all. Not having Wi-Fi cost me a lot of time and money as I expected to be able to plan my next days events at night including booking tickets etc and I couldn’t. Due to that I had to go run a round the next day trying to figure stuff out and buy tickets last minute which were sometimes by then sold out etc. They have very thin walls I could hear someone’s cell phone ringing off the hook and would often get woken up very early by people in the hallways, leaving etc

I liked the convenient location with Central Station metro just a few feet away. The staff was very helpful and friendly. the room and bathroom were very clean. I thought that the price was high for a very small room with no view

Two minutes walk from train station, clean, convenient for trasfer from train to airport, about 35 min walk to Center, nice little hotel.

Finding a long black hair under the pillow isn’t pleasant at all! I asked for a free breakfast as a compensation; it was excellent..The hotel is less than 500m from the station! Very convenient too.

I like their breakfast room. It's cheerful and the lady that serves us is very nice. She makes great cakes.

This hotel is close to the central train station and is comfortable and modern. My stay was only for one night, but it was convenient since I arrived on the train and the bus service to the Malpensa airport is right by the train station.

Very convenient location. Renovated hotel, small but very clean rooms. Staff helpful and courteous. Parte entrance with several sofas comfortable living room atmosphere.

Hotel close to central station. Room was small but ok if you are out sightseeing all day.

The Hotel Bernina was an unexpectedly pleasant surprise. I chose it because of the price and the fact that it was within walking distance from the Milan Central Railway Station. Also, it was literally feet away from the subway, which allowed me to travel anywhere in the city with a minimum of trouble. The hotel has small rooms, which is fine with me. I had a twin bed, which was very comfortable, and a large bathroom with a shower (with immediate hot water), a hair dryer, a bidet (common in Italy) and no bathtub (which is what I prefer). It also had free access to WiFi. The room was surprisingly quiet, another plus. It was also impeccably clean. It seems that the entire hotel has been recently refurbished since everything in the room looked new and worked perfectly well. Also, the lobby area and breakfast room were designed thematically (like a small boutique hotel), with many mirrors, lamps, abstract art, and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. The breakfast, included at no extra charge, was superb, with boiled eggs, cold meats, salads, fruits, different kinds of cheeses (the Parma was amazing), cereals, breads, amazing pastries, juices, and the best cappuccino scuro I had in Milan. It was also feet away from multiple restaurants, the Piazza Duca d'Aosta, and the Milan Central Railway Station, which is an architectural monument in itself.

Need to have facial tissue and wash clothes plus coffee maker and coffee and tea

Overall not a terrible hotel. Reception staff not too friendly, acted like a mob boss seemed to be always yelling at staff and random people. Room was small and door had cracks and windows did not opperate correctly. Room was clean other than a hair on my pillow when I turned down the bed. City tax paid at the end of stay is accepted in cash only and was annoyed because I was not told that at check-in. Overall, especially for the price and location, I was satisfied but nothing more than that.

Very good little hotel. Excellent deal if you're looking for a no frills but good place to stay. Prime location to get around easily (near Central Train Station and Metro). Very friendly and helpful staff.

And that is about all we got. The hotel staff was nice, the lobby was ok, it had an elevator and was just a 5 minute walk from Central Station. Those are the pluses. The minuses.....the room was TINY and the sheets stained, the bathroom smelled BADLY, the walls were very thin. All in all, we got what we paid for. Compared to other hotels in the area, this one was very inexpensive. We arrived at 11pm and left for our train at 6am. So for the 7 hours in the room, it was doable. However, I would not have stayed here any longer than one night.
