We usually stay here on our way south or on our journey back north. The hotel is a five star experience. The rooms are grand. The bed huge and great for sex. The breakfast outstanding. There is a small pool and gym. I could go on......
I will write this review as a tourist visiting Milan for a few days. So may well assist others in their stay. So we arrived from Malpensa Terminal 2 after around 20 minutes on the train for a couple of euros. The hotel is only around a 2 minute walk from the station and we'll signposted. Check in was a quick experience and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a family room and it was incredible. 2 rooms. Massive mini kitchen and perfect for families in business style comfort. Breakfast was excellent with alot of choice. A few cooked options and as usual a big continental selection with some beautiful juices. If Milan Central is on your plan, it is only 25 minutes on the train from the station, with easy ticket machine get access. Then hopefully on the metro to explore! Similarly Lake Como is a quick train ride. 40 minutes on the Train Nord service which runs every 1 hour to the Lago Nord Como station, which is nearby to the ferry port with excellent tours of Lake Como. I think if you want to stay in Milan, this hotel is the best one. The hotel itself has a very luxury feel with no compromises. The food is good and there is an excellent pizzeria just 20 seconds adjacent for something a little cheaper and different. Connection to everything around milan is balanced. Como, central, malpensa. The staff are really proffesional but really helpful and keen to get to know you despite 1000's of others in the place. The free swimming pool and spa is really nice and finally the bar area is great for milling around absorbing the atmosphere of a luxury hotel. 10/10! Couldn't fault a single thing except charging €5 for a tiny bottle of coke in the minibar. Just buy a pack of 6 up the road and swap then. 6 for €2.20 Haha! If I need to come back, I will be coming here. Gratzie!
A quick stay but the care of the staff was fantastic. On arrival, I received lots of helpful advice on parking my car. The room was beautifully maintained and the cleaning staff fully deserved their tip! On leaving I needed to send a fax which was no trouble at all to the rather fantastic Eleonora on Reception who did it all quickly and efficiently. I wish all hotels had staff this good...
Located a few hundred meters from the train station, it is the perfect bridgehead to visit Milan which is 20 minutes away by train (with a train every 5 minutes over day) Typical corporate hotel. Little charm. Rooms are clean & quiet, but I wouldn't hire the interior architect. Bedding & linen are ok Aircon working quietly & efficiently (a relief with outside temperatures flirting around 35C). Staff friendly & helpful. But the breakfast was really disappointing. To put it mildly : too "industrial" to my taste. But overall good value for money.
We used this hotel as a one night stop in our journey to our final destination, but boy what a pity. This hotel is very clean, has large and well furnished rooms, and a very friendly staff, for a low price. Breakfast was very good.
On our way towards Tuscany had a stay over in Saronno. The hotel is close to the highway from Chiasso and Milano. Hotel is quite large and is mainly business oriented. The underground parking is convenient and with 7 euro reasonably priced. Rooms are modern and clean. Good bed, the kids sleep on a sofabed which is ok for small children. Would not recommend this for children from the age of 11/12. Breakfast is moderate. When we arrived in the breakfast room there was No space. Food is ok-ish. Staff could not keep up to supply finished breakfast. Station is 5 minute walk, train brings you in 15 minutes to Milano. It was nice for a bit of sightseeing and dinner in Milano.
This was the first hotel in the tour group for the Italian Lakes journey. A long flight from New Zealand made us arrive tired. We had thought we had arranged for a car to pick us up to take us to the hotel but with a lengthy procedure through immigration at Milan Airport we emerged to find no car waiting and had to find a taxi ourselves or wait another hour and half for the tour bus to collect us. we had to argue with the hotel about paying for the car even though it wasnt our fault. The room offered was dark and shabby on the ground floor (or seemed to be the basement). we were told the hotel was full and this was allocated to this tour. After some determination on our part our rooms were re allocated, but I was given a room with two single beds pushed together. The battle to get a nice room and not to have to pay the car that didnt wait (apparently it had been sent), made staying at this hotel a nightmare. The attitude of the desk staff except for one younger woman was disgraceful. Only positive was the breakfast.
We spent just one night. Room was really clean and comfortable. Surprise was the breakfast. I mean in positive way. Really good buffet with too many options. And kind service. Lovely italian cappuccino. Love it. There was just one problem - some noise during the night in our room. I m not sure if the problem was the air condition. But we did not sleep well. The reception staff asked why we did not come and they could change the room. But when you come to the hotel in the middle of the night and you are already im pyjama - no chance no mood. And we had also sauna includes in the price but we did not use it.
Booked by the company, and I found a few of the reviews worrying, however I found the hotel nice, clean, well laid out, helpful staff, nice (albeit simple) rooms, good bathrooms and a nice breakfast buffet, so you could not ask for a lot more on this budget. Will definitely stay there again
I am writing this review in hope this helps other families make their hotel decision. if you are a business traveler or solo traveler this hotel is probably a good choice for you ! As a family of five on vacation this was a very disappointing hotel. I picked this hotel because it had an indoor pool and gym and was right off the expressway and halfway to our home. This was the last hotel we stayed at on our italian road trip before we headed home to Germany. After spending a week and a half walking around italian cities I planned on one day of swimming for the kids and gym time for my husband and I. We are a family of five, so I had booked two hotel rooms ( I spent a decent amount of money for our family to stay here ). We checked in with no problems and we all changed and headed to the pool, we were swimming and having a good time when a staff member told us we had to wear swim caps, which we could buy them at 5 Euros each. For our family of five this would be 25 euros to use the pool. This is not the norm where we come from and I was not expecting to need a swim cap. I could not justify spending 25 euros so my family could swim in what was supposed to be a hotel provided pool (included with our stay). If you are one person spending 5 euros is not so bad. The next morning I went to the gym, there are two treadmills one had a sign on a chain saying out of service. I got on the other treadmill and put it on 6.0 and the belt barely moved, so I brought it up to 8.0 and i heard slapping sounds as the belt hit the floor and the belt moved at a fast walk, so that was very disappointing. The view from the gym is beautiful and it would have been a nice run if the treadmills were working. Also the sauna and spa were not accessible as they were renovating (according to the sign). When I booked on expedia this was not mentioned. The other two things that were surprising to me was the coffee at breakfast was terrible, so after traveling around Italy and having the best coffee and espresso I have ever had....I was surprised to taste such weak tasteless coffee. The internet is free, but it is very slow...do not attempt to watch netflix ! I told the front desk about the pool and gym when I checked out and that it made for a disappointing stay. She mentioned it says on expedia that you have to have a swim cap...I have looked again and it does not mention swim caps... She basically said there is nothing she could do about it and the reason the caps (which are very cheap looking) are 5 euros are because they have to imprint the logo. Description from expedia.....nothing stating swim caps...no where does it mention broken treadmills. (Hotel facilities A restaurant, indoor pool and fitness facilities - all this has to offer. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. Additional amenities include a bar / lounge, a coffee shop / café, and a spa tub) All in all very disappointed and extremely dissatisfied that no one took my input seriously.
