The staff was indifferent, and the air conditioning didn't work. It's located next to a strip club, and I would recommend staying somewhere closer to the city center.
Easy to get to and from the airport from this hotel. It was a tad far from the city center- about a 30 -40 min walk but only about 6 stops on the train. The train is very convenient and easy to use. The breakfast was okay, nothing fancy. The staff in the breakfast room was very nice and friendly. They work so hard in the breakfast room! Ask for them to make you fresh coffee, not from the machine. The room is large but had some odd switches. They used to have a keycard system which blinked all night. Front desk staff was okay but always busy. NO safes in the room. There are a lot of good restaurants within walking distance that the locals go to. Try Da Oscars if you stay here and Gelato Guisto (sp?). Also plenty of supermarkets close by to get some water or other odds and ends. There is a fridge in the room which was great! Very close to the main train terminal- within walking distance.
In an extreme heat wave hotel grand Puccini has great air conditioning. We arrived mid 50 percent sale days in the fashion district. Heavy people traffic. Staff was very helpful, friendly, and courteous. Although in fashion district it is a good walk to the Duomo and square. We logged 6 miles round trip include . inside Duomo. Bathrooms were older and door lamination peeling. AC was great.
The double bed was at the corner of the room so makes difficult for people sleep inside bed to get up。there is only one set of towel, when I called, I have to go down to the reception to get the towel myself, I guess because it is late and there was no other staff on duty. There is no cups for teeth brushing in the bathroom. Comparing with our stay a few days ago at Best Weatern City Hotel a crossed street, this one is NOT good at all.
The hotel was fairly outdated, but they were beginning a renovation while I was there. My room was a twin-bedded single, and fairly large by European standards, clean but a bit raggedy. The bathroom was really nice. Breakfast was pretty good, but skip the croissants. Francesca at the desk was my favorite part of the visit. She was a huge help when my ATM card wouldn't work. The location was the best part: a busy shopping street just a 30 second walk from a metro stop.
You are well situated next to big street of Milan. Rooms are tiny, dark inside, but if the windows are to the inside yard, then it is quiet and peaceful.
hotel was very old and stale, was an ok place for an overnight stay. Location is near all shopping and restuaraunts
The room was small and plain but clean and comfortable with everything I wanted. Excellent complementary buffet breakfast. The staff at the desk was very helpful and friendly. This was a perfect location for my business in Milan, only one block from a Metro stop. I didn't realize before that so good a hotel could be found for such a reasonable price.
Staff was great and helpful. Room was small, but big enough for all of the essentials and some extra space. Has kind of a vintage feel to it, and location-wise, it's very close to Centrale train station. Overall perfect experience for the one night I had in Milan.
My room was small but impeccably clean, and this means no unsettling musty odor as you often find. Bathroom fixtures all brand new. Continental breakfast was lavish, no toaster though. Boiled eggs were prepared perfectly, still warm and not overcooked. Hotel was perhaps a little too traditional as they wouldn't take in laundry on a Saturday. Location steps from Metro.
To find this hotel is not easy at night time but daytime Is ok near milano central station. Staff this hotel is very very very friendly And breskfast was good.
This is a good place to stay. Breakfast 7/10 which was included! Our room was pretty big and clean as well as the bathroom. It has AC and towel warmer that you can control. They have cable with CNN. The Metro is across the street which made everything accessible! You can walk to the Duomo but why walk in hot day? ( Not much of a sun worshipper) The Duomo was only a stone throw away via metro which seems like 5 minutes away. The Hotel is situated on a busy street and the entrance to see the Hotel Lobby is shared with other establishments. It's convenient and is surrounded by lots of different stores-- I wouldn't mind coming back. The Red Carpet on the hallways could be cleaner.
My wife and I were treveling in severeal cities in Italy and I was surprised about this hotel because we red other reviews before we booj it. The room we get was big and the best and big bathroom you can get booking a 3 or 4 stars hotel. The location was fantastic,, we took the Metro station at the end of the Street where the hotel was, and is very close to the Duomo.
Renovated but still a bit tired yet relatively well priced with a decent value to cost ratio. Polite, attentive and personable staff.
great place and good staff and close train and good shopping
The staffs are very friendly. The breakfast is good. The staff for breakfast is outstanding. Internet is fast, which is nice. The only thing which can be improved is that the room seems a bit old.
The location is good, but there's a lot better options available for the price. Definitely not a 4-star hotel. Hallways are dirty and gross. Breakfast provided was NOT a hot breakfast as advertised, fairly average, room was average, wi-fi and sat tv were the highlights, if that's what you're looking for :)
The Grand Puccini Hotel had a comfortable and clean bedroom and bathroom. It had good air conditioning and TV. The staff was accommodating and helpful with advice on places to eat and how to tour the city using the very good, clean and air-conditioned Metro system. We only had a view of the tile roof from our room, but considering the fantastic price, we didn't care. It's also only a few yards to the Metro station and on a very wide and lovely boulevard.
This is a wonderful Hotel. The staff was very friendly, spoke English, and very helpful. The room was very clean and exactly what we had reserved. The breakfast was included and was tasty and fresh. You get a lot for your money.
This hotel is in a fantastic location, but is badly in need of updating. My daughter and I laughingly referred to it as the hotel in "The Shining". The room was clean, but smelled old and musty, and the sheets were rough. The wallpaper boarder was peeling from the wall, and the area around the shower was rusty. Also, there were no pictures on the wall....not a terrible thing, but strange. We only spent two nights there, and it was tolerable, but it's definitely not a 4 star hotel.
