This is a budget hotel close to the train station. Relatively cheap and you get what you pay for. The room is simple but clean. Bit dated but it is ok. Free wifi. Feel safe at all time. Might consider again to stay here
The hotel is close to the central station it was great and near by as we booked a trip to Florence. For nearly half an hour You can go to the city center. It was clean and very warn. The staff is very polite. I was very happy with my stay there. Near the restaurant there is a small family restaurant that we ate every night and we loved.
The hotel i very basic, but ok for a night or two. Actually it is dating from 1957 and there is nice sign on the top of the building. Although you enter the reception on the ground floor, the rooms are on the 5th and the 6th floor. Our room was looking on the back side - nothing special. There was constant heating and warm water, but as I said, the furniture including the bathroom is not new at all. Good point to mention that the mattress was very comfortable and this was important for our stay as we walked much during the day. The WiFi connection was not perfect, but it was usable if you need to check something online. The only negative drawback was the smell from the pipes. May be because the building is old, but despite it is winter, we had to leave the windows open during the day, in order to avoid the smell in the evenings. Although some gaps, if I need a hotel close to the Centrale FS, I will consider Virgilio again. The service was kind and our room was cleaned although we were for 2 nights only. Thank you!
I miss Milan, and I miss this hotel too. My girlfriend and I spend 3 beautiful, unforgettable days. The hotel is close to the central station what is most important. They keep rooms always clean. Thanks for all! You are very kind people. Hope we will come again.
I booked this hotel at very good price compared with the other similar hotels in Milan. It is close to the train station, where the airport buses also have the station, so if you arrive by plane or train you only have a 5 min walk from the station to the hotel. The hotel itself it is old and the furniture needs to be updated, but it is very clean, with toiletries, sheets and towel changed daily. The room itself was spacious enough and cleaned daily. It is within walking distance to metro and bus stations, and to Duomo it is a half an hour stroll. It is close to Buenos Aires street, with nice shops and good restaurants, in a safe area. From my point of view it has a very good cost/benefit value, I recommend it.
The hotel is nicely positioned next to train station. You have also good connections to subway 1 at Caiazzo station. The hotel personnel is cooperative and speaks english. The wifi connection is acceptable. The double bed is actually a single bed with two mattresses, You can hear everything around during the night. The furniture is very old and dusty and there is no shower cabin, so the water is running over everything in the bathroom.
Stayed here for 4 nights with my wife. Exellent location for train/metro and bus station, easy 5 min walk for us. Hotel and rooms are dated but perfectly clean. As other reviewers mentioned we noticed a slight odour from bathroom at times but certainly not overpowering, maybe it's worse in hot weather? Also I did get a whiff from some of the drains in the street outside so I'm guessing it's beyond the hotels control. If you want any type of luxury this hotel is not for you. If your on a budget and want a clean hotel near to public transport this is perfect.
Excellent location, clean room, decent wifi, pleasant personnel. Hotel is a bit old and with small loby, but it is clean. It was a bit noisy one night, some guests were really loud. Location is good, few streets from Central railway station, so you do not need taxi to railway or bus transfer to airports. Metro is aleo few streets.
Arrived at the Hotel and was not impressed with the abrupt nature of the man at reception. When we got up to our room we had no toilet paper or towels or a temote to turn on the air conditioning. When we went downstairs we were abruptly tild those things were coming however it is 5 euro a night for the air conditioning. We paid as it was hot and uts not a big amount. After a rocky start the room was clean and made up the next day and the was quiet which is really all we wanted. Beware there was no safe or shower curtain!
