Best for Family tour close to market centre, exciting area walking surround sieve and nice looking. Finding food and Restourant with favourite menu are interesting at every corner of the Hotel. Lovely Shopping no comment every where we can rich from the local product up branded and glamore style.
No hotel in Milan can compete with Galileo's location; just a few minutes’ walk from the Duomo Milan cathedral and the main fashion street. The front office staff is very nice and helpful. The welcome was good and swift. I thought it was a bit nostalgic to get a proper key with a very heavy key ring for the room and not just a card. I can't really complain about the comfort; everything seemed to work. The old TV (no flat screen here) worked. The only bothering thing is that no safe in the room. The breakfast was also good enough, although nothing overwhelming. The coffee was brought to your table and the service was swift.
I guess no hotel in Milan can compete with Galileo's location; just a few minutes walk from the Duomo and the main fashion street. The location also means higher prices and I would claim that it's heavily overprized in comparison to what you get (except the location). Well, the welcome was good and swift. I thought it was a bit nostalgic to get a proper key for the room and not just a card, but when I came to the room I realized that it wasn't about creating a nostalgic hotel atmosphere, but that the hotel just hadn't gone through any major renovation during the past few decades. However, except from the "oldish interior" I can't really compalin about the comfort; everything seemed to work and the room actually had another extra room with a sofa and a few chairs. The old TV (no flat screen here) worked and I managed to find BBC World, so I was happy. The breakfast was also good enough, although nothing overwhelming. The coffee was brought to your table and the service was swift. I always look if they have porridge, but couldn't find it on the menu, but I can do without it so that wasn't a problem. I also checked out the gym, but turned around at the door as I didn't find it worth while. They had a couple of treadmills, but I had already had my morning run outdoors. Yes, this wasn't more than an average stay and would have looked for something else if I's paid for the the stay myself...
We stay in this hotel every time we are in Milano, it has good position in the city center, close to the main square with Duomo, to the famous museums, close to the underground station, very helpfull staff. Nice breakfest.
The best thing about the hotel is its location, just 2 mins walking to milan cathedral, the employees are so kind, nice and helpful. The hotel is very old (furniture decor) the only bothering thing is that no safe in the room, u get a tiny safe next to reception. I's rather stay in this hotel rather than choosing a new hotel same location but double the price. If your looking for luxury stay away,, if ur looking for location with a great price this is the hotel.
Old fashion hotel ( early 80's ), but very good location. You can reach Duomo just to 5 min by walk, as well as all shopping area of luxury shopping. Just near the hotel you can find Orthodox Church, to whom may be of interest. Friendly staff, good cleaning.
I was there for business two days, and the hotel is correct. The rooms are big, and also the bathroom. The breakfast has a wide range of food to choose, and the personnel is kind. It is a good option for a city-center hotel.
good breakfast old rooms good service ,,recption no any luxory or entertainment bathroom without ejector air lobby small near to shopping area recption coperative quickly responding on any requist so calm hotel
The Good: We paid 1009 Euros for 2 double rooms for 3 nights each, which is less than 200 Euro a night - great price. The location is really ideal, the shopping and the Duomo are less than 5 minutes walking. The breakfast was very good, especially considering European breakfasts are usually coffee and rolls. The wait staff was excellent, offering coffee or cappuccino right away. There were many choices - eggs, meats, lots of fresh fruits, pastries and juices. The Bad: It is sorely in need of a MAJOR overhaul. There was a "smell" in the rooms that rivaled mildew and cheese. The Noisy: We were originally in 301 and 302 which were hot and musty. I asked at the desk about the thermostats not working - and their reply was "no A/C in Milan until after April 15th - it's the law". The solution was to open the windows, which faced Corso Europa, and there wasn't a moment of silence the entire first night - construction, horns, beeping, etc..and the wafting of cigarette smoke started around 6am. I asked at the front desk about changing rooms and the clerk asked if I want to be hot or hear noise? But then, she did have two rooms on the 9th floor that did have A/C working (huh?)So we switched to 907 and 908, which were much better than the 3rd floor, but still spotty A/C in 908. I opened the windows which helped, until the Russian Orthodox church next door started a 48 hour vigil between Good Friday and Easter. Anytime the windows were open, there was chanting, singing and bell ringing, which added to the fun! Overall, I wouldn't stay here again, but it was a good deal - all things considered.
the hotel has a perfect location but needs renovation. it seems no changes have been done to the hotel since the late 80s. yes everything is working but old fashion even the electric plugs. same goes for the resturant. the staff is very helpfull
