DoubleTree by Hilton Milan

The hotel is really good and the staff are great. Bed and shower very nice. The only thing it's a little far from historic center takes round 40min in bus to reach the central plaza. Be prepared......

We stayed for a three night long weekend, booked through Hilton at a very reasonable rate. The rooms are large and very comfortable with a bath/shower over. On the Hilton Honors 4th floor we had two bottles of water provided free daily. The room was available for us even at 11.30 in the morning an unexpected surprise, of course with the Doubletree cookie. The hotel is a long way from the centre but is in a quiet area. There is a tram stop (1 or 19) a mere 200 yards from the front door, the trams only take 40 minutes to the centre and tickets can be bought at reception. Breakfast was a bit hit and miss, on our first morning we were obviously in just after a raiding party, and items In the buffet are not replaced quickly! However if you time it right there is a large selection of hot and cold fare, easily enough to last the day. Sadly although reception staff were excellent, helpful and friendly the restaurant staff were none of these things! (The bar staff were in the friendly camp) The only other problem is that the hot food, despite being in closed warmers was not hot at all. However we would recommend the hotel, and would stay again.

We visited this hotel in April 2018. We are Hilton Diamond Honors Members and stay exclusively at Hilton Hotels wherever we travel if they are available all over the world. This hotel is in desperate need of updating. Our room was out-dated, carpet was dirty & stained, hair dryer was broken, our bed sheets were nit clean upon check-in & AC was super loud. Even from check-in the front desk staff were not friendly. The rugs in the lobby have visible dark stains on them. The breakfast is marginal and the breakfast area has terrible acoustics and is extremely loud. Repeatedly the front desk staff was rude and very unhelpful to us when asking for shuttle service, airport logistics & rude to us upon checkout. This hotel does not represent the Hilton Standard of Quality. I would highly recommend NOT STAYING AT THIS HOTEL!

This hotel extends a really warm welcome: a delicious hot chocolate cookie upon (the perfectly prepared) check-in, and especially the 2 ladies at the reception desk are charming like a sunshine and remembered my name after one stay ! The location is a bit outside from City center, yet the hotel provides free shuttle bus services to the next train or metro station. Breakfast buffet is average, maybe a bit too „functional“. Five stars for rooms, beds and bathrooms: spacious, natural materials, well equipped, clean, quiet, cozy ambience ... All in all, more than good value for money and a pleasure to come back !

Well laid out hotel with spacious atrium and restaurant. Very friendly and helpful staff and across all areas including bar, restaurant and front desk. Bar service excellent. Hotel located about 15 minutes by taxi from city centre. If I really had to find fault, I'd suggest that the outside courtyard area is cleaned more frequently (it's 2pm at the time if writing this review and half full wine bottle and glasses are still on tables from other guests last night). Also based on environmental issues perhaps withdrawal of two single use plastic straws with each drink may be a good move. Otherwise, well worth a visit

Typical Hilton Doubletree in Milan. Less fashionable area but hotel very comfortable and good value . Unfortunately for this reason it is busy with conferences and coach tours which can stretch hotel resources but still a good stay and central Milan is just 30 mins away by no1 tram

The hotel is not located in the centre but it was quite easy to get there with a tram. We purchased tram tickets from the hotel’s front desk. The rooms were clean and tidy. The gym was also nice and not too crowded. Okay breakfest.

Stayed with family for a few days to explore Milan. From leaving the airport train this hotel was stressful to get to and once settled in although the public transport around the city is good, trying to plan routes to/from the hotel is not easy. I would recommend taking taxis to the nearest metro station if budget allows. The staff were all friendly and most spoke good English which was comforting. Ate at the restaurant a few times due to not wanting to battle through public transport links. Food was good and along with the wine choice. Happy hour was also good with the waitress making cocktails off menu when requested. Room was clean, bath a little small but useable, beds comfy. This is a lovely hotel but the location is not great for exploring the city. I would not be rushing back purely because of the location.

I visited this hotel on 29th January until 1st February. The hotel is great only stayed in it to sleep. The only downside is that its not close to many restaurants that are open past 9pm. If your wanting somewhere a little more lively I'd advise to stay closer to the towns. The customer service is phenomenal just the carpet in the room was a little grubby and the hairdryer didn't work. Can't comment on food or drinks as we didn't eat at the hotel. Its a short tram ride/bus ride to Milan central train station. Which takes about 30-45 minutes depending which tram or bus you get. Great hotel I don't think I'd visit again I'd want to stay closer to the town. I would recommend it though if you don't mind being further away form tourist spots.

I arrived late and the staff was very welcoming. I however had not understood that the kitchen was closed after 11pm. Having said that the staff proposed to order a pizza outside. They are always very helpful. The room was nice and big. Bathroom was clean and convenient. Breakfast was great and plentiful! I would definitely go back!
