Our four nights stay (23 - 28 March 2017) was all round memorable for best reasons. We took Bus 73 from Linate airport for £1.50 into city centre and walked for about two hours through iconic parts of the city including Duomo, via Dante, Sampeone and to hotel location on via Certosa. The gentleman receptionist was very warm and welcoming, with smooth check-in, except for information about the €5 PPPN charge. The room was cute and smart for standard double, with goldish decor, real wood flooring, white upholstery headboard, large mirrors and various lightnings. We were pleasantly when offered free inFocus mobile handset with free in and out hotel Internet services, which was convenient to keep in touch with our family. Breakfast was always well presented and adequate, especially when the middle aged caterer can remember our choices of hot drinks. The receptionists went to great extent to air freshen our room when tobacco smell from some naughty neighbouring guests waffled into our room. They also helped print our boarding passes. There is a large supermarket about two minutes walk from the hotel in a mini mall. Transport is very easy with Tram 14 which takes you to city centre including the Duomo piaza, or the city central circular trams/buses that link to all parts including central railway station and Milan Fc San Siros stadium. It was great value services.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our 5 day break. Twin room booked for myself and son, room was sufficient size for us both, very clean and tidy. Had drinks in the bar downstairs, barman was very nice, 2 beers for €8 and provides with light snacks. Breakfast room was on the 5th floor with a great view. Breakfast had a good enough selection, wouldn't recommend hot food but happy with the continental selection. Arrived at Malpensa Airport and got shuttle out to hotel, hotel 2 minute walk from the stop, shuttle cost €8 one way. No 14 tram directly out front of hotel and cost €4.50 for 24 hour pass. Would recommend the hotel for short breaks.
I stayed four nights on a business trip. Found the staff very friendly and helpful. I had a smallish room with a large single bed - ample for my requirements. Breakfasts was good with a good selection. Nice bar area with snacks in the evening when you buy a drink.
Very friendly team, from the people at the receiption and the breakfast room. Rooms are not big, but very comfortable and nice. Parking is available. The team from the hotel park your car and bring back in case you need.
I did some research before picking this hotel and I was not disappointed. The hotel is reasonably priced and in a fairly good location. If you compare this hotel to the majority of other Milan hotels, you definitely get good value for your money. Whether you want to travel to the tourist district/centre, or to the San Siro, you are not far away. The tram stop is located opposite the hotel, and for 4.50 euro you can travel around the city. It takes approximately 25 minutes to get to the centre and you are about 2.5km from the San Siro, if you want to watch a football match. You are also located near a shopping centre, so any extras you require are easy to get hold of within a 5 minute walk. In terms of hotel service - the staff are friendly and ontop of things (especially the young guy who is on the desk afternoon-evenings), they insisted on making sure my room was clean every morning, and providing a service. The only "negatives" I could give, which are very minor are that the bed sheets were a little thin and the fitness centre could do with an upgrade..but overall the sleep and room quality were substantial. If you are looking for a milan hotel that is value for money, this is definitely a good choice for you.
Good service. I think that's what makes this hotel stand out from the crowd. A bit short on space around but the food service makes this seem like small fry. Would recommend for short stays. Only downside is the distances to anywhere interesting
It's my third time that I use this hotel when I travel to Milano and ever time it was the same quality of services staff very professional, nice location the hotel is near to all commodities restaurants, shopping centres, public transports. Thank you for your hospitality.
We spent 2 nights in Antares Hotel Accademia, Milan. The tram No14 stops in front of hotel. The reception staff - extremely professional and helpful. The room - spotless. The breakfast - plentiful for those who like sweets - cakes, danishes, pastries, croissants, fresh fruits, fresh fruit juices, yogurts, cereals, jams even you can make the pancakes! The cooked breakfast like ham, sausage, scramble eggs, watery peas and chickpeas - didn't impress us. Keeping in mind the price we paid, this is really a good place to stay. Just keep in mind that this hotel is 35min away from the center, Milan Duomo and even more further from Milano Centrale (Central Train station).
Overall a good experience.the hotel itself is small (6 floors) but pleasant. The rooms are well furnished and in good condition. However the room was cold due to time of year and there was nowhere to control or turn heating on. The room however unexpectedly got hot during the middle of the night. Did ask staff if the heating could be turned on as the room was still cold on the second day and they said they had pressed a button so we could now control it however it was not possible to do so. The staff however were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was nice with a wide variety of food choices. The gym had only a few treadmills and no weights/resistance machines whatsoever. One other thing was that there were no bedside plugs to charge mobile phones so could not use in bed whilst on charge.
It has all the features of 4* but it's at the bottom end of the scale. Room was tired and heating never got the room warm - I slept in my clothes. Walk in shower had a 2 foot step and it was impossible to close the heavy glass doors with wet hands. Breakfast was awful with insufficient staff. They boasted full gluten free menu, all I got was packets of crisp breads. "Fitness Centre" is sparse and un maintained - no water in the dispenser, dirty towels everywhere, very little equipment. On the plus, it was a very friendly place and the staff were very helpful. Don't think I'll be back.
