Although I have been to Uxmal many times and stayed overnight before, it was my first time at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel, with large rooms and lovely pool, landscapes grounds and restaurant. One of the best things about this trip was the "Desayuno Maya" (Mayan Breakfast tour). which we arranged through Luis Chan, who is with the Conceirge Services at the Hotel. Luis is very passionate and knowledgeable about his Mayan heritage and he made the tour an experience I will never forget. We were treated to a fantastic breakfast prepared and served by our hosts Maria and Victor in a traditional Mayan hut. I have to say this was the best breakfast I have ever had in Mexico and it kept us full well into the late afternoon. Hot chocolate (3 cups for me), fresh orange juice, fruit plate, "Hidden egg" (egg fried inside fresh tortilla and served with fresh tomato sauce) and then to top things off scrambled eggs with cheese and mushrooms and fresh tortillas...all made in front of you!!! So glad we did this, I highly recommend this experience. Thanks again Luis, Maria and Victor we loved it!!
We loved our stay here. It is right on the doorstep of Uxmal and so has a great location. The rooms were large with gorgeous high ceilings. Very colonial feeling. The pool was very clean and the gardens beautifully maintained. The staff were wonderful - very helpful, amazingly courteous and generally lovely. The only slight downside was the evening food as our tortillas were very dry and it was very overpriced compared to the surrounding areas. So I'd recommend heading out for dinner but am not sure there are many places around - perhaps other reviewers have made some recommendations. Breakfast was very good however. I would thoroughly recommend this place.
Stayed one night in this beautiful hotel. The grounds and pool area are lovely (especially dining pool side), the room very comfortable, the staff friendly and attentive and the food very tasty. The proximity to the archaeological site is a bonus and we enjoyed walking to/viewing/hearing the nighttime light/sound show (even without understanding Spanish). The next day the hotel arranged for a wonderful guide, "George" that accompanied us to Kabah and Uxmal sites. He was, entertaining, very knowledgeable and the transportation was comfortable.
A friend and I spent a night and two half days at this delightful hotel hacienda (not long enough!). The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Loved the chairs and tables right outside the door. Beautiful pool setting! Enjoyed the bicycles for a ride around the plantation. Great food at the restaurant; my friend had the breakfast tamales and said they were the best she has had. Marco (restaurant) assisted us in making tasty menu choices; very helpful, friendly guy, as were all of the staff. Highly recommend!
This hotel was awesome in every way it could have been. The staff was completely awesome! I have got a upgrade and that was completely terrifying. All the things were great and I was glad that I could have visited this hacienda! Also I should mention that the restaurant had one of the best food I have tasted.
This hotel is part of the Maya Land chain, but I liked this one more then another we stayed at. The atmosphere was really nice. Staff was exceptionally friendly. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. Food in the restaurant is expensive but quite good.
This is a beautiful hotel. Very relaxing atmosphere. The food was very good. Someone at the Hotel Mayaland in Chichen Itza told us to look for William. We didn't have to look for him. He personally greats everyone that comes into the restaurant. The food was very good. But the service was excellent. We ate in the outdoor restaurant. The hotel itself was something to explore. Would definitely recommend. Make sure you meet William!
This week we returned for a second stay at one of our favorite places in the world, Hacienda Uxmal in the Yucatán. Just when I️ thought the first trip could not have been topped, they have added several new tours. Bersain is the manager. He and his staff cater to your every need. The Land Rover and Cenote tour was fabulous. The tour guide was knowledgeable and had a great command of English. His pride in the history of the Mayans was obvious. And it was fun! We also had a private tour of the adjacent ruins from Jorge, whose pride was inspiring. He has worked at Hacienda for 50 years and has the energy and enthusiasm and knowledge of a person half his age. Today we participated in a new cultural event. It was a re-enactment of daily life at the plantation Uxmal, including breakfast, history, palapa and ruins. Wait until you see the orchards and vegetables in the Hacienda! Pick the fresh fruit and learn about the history. The uniforms/costumes were authentic, the food was delicious and authentic and the entire event was memorable. I️ did not want to leave. The chocolate museum continues to expand its offerings. I️ know I️ am gushing but this experience is unequaled in the Yucatán. And let’s not forget the friendly, helpful and gracious staff who make your stay so memorable. Plan on spending no less than 3-4 Days here to celebrate this culture. You will not be disappointed.
Walking distance from the Uxmal sacred site, this hotel offers relaxation in a unique environment. Our room was comfortable and quiet with a large bathroom, coffee making facilities and rocking chairs outside. We enjoyed the dipping our toes in the swimming pool (little cool to swim), the drinks by the pool and the elegant outdoor restaurant. Service was friendly and helpful.
My friends and i decided to do a couples trip with our spouses and we could not have picked a better place. the hotel is amazing and the ambiance is incredible. we did the land rover tour and it was THE BEST part of our entire vacation in mexico. it was interactive and all around very fun. we got to drive through old hacienda ruins, the hotels own plantation and they made us an amazing breakfast in a palapa. highly highly recommend and will for sure be coming back!
