The Secret Palace was truly an oasis of calm and beauty in an otherwise plain corner of Merida. The room was lovely, the garden serene and the staff charming. Highly recommended.

This is an exceptional space. It truly feels like you are staying at a palace. Among the finest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Amazing staff, amazing amenities, amazing space. Close to city center. Close to restaurants. A SPA. Wonderful breakfast. Sexy bar. Laundry. Everyone speaks English, if that’s your thing. If you don’t stay here, you may hate yourself.

The hotel was so close to great restaurants and all the areas you should go see. All the downtown attractions were a 10-15 min pleasurable walk. The snacks and water and coffee/ tea always available was amazing too! Definitely one of the nicest places I’ve stayed…. The room was so romantic!

Charming hotel but not the best location

Lovely hotel with excellent staff. Delicious breakfast. Location was a little out of the way. More than a half mile to the major squares, restaurants and shopping. Pretty much nothing in the immediate area. That said Ubers are very inexpensive if you don’t want to walk.

Gorgeous small hotel about 1 mile from Centro. Nothing nearby, a long walk to restaurants, shops , etc. excellent staff, great breakfast included, pool too cold to swim in, showers terrible (low water pressure and shower head way too high. I’m 5’4, was about 2 ft above my head so I never could get hair rinsed).

This place is a hidden gem! Its a real hidden palace. The staff was extremely helpful and always available for advice. The bed was comfortable and showers luxurious. Food was delicious. The place was quite and well kept. My only problem was that wifi was not reaching my room so had to walk across the hallway to get connected
