Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze and the valet delivered our bags to our room so quickly.

The hotel is a beautifully restored 1930s property. The rooms were large and beds very comfortable. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The location was great out of the way from Beale, but easily walkable. Right off of the Trolley line on a tree lined, street. Lots of restaurants in the area. The hotel had a great roof top terrace, but we could only enjoy it for a little while as the glass in the door broke and the management made the terrace off limits for the weekend. That was our only complaint - as the terrace was one of the main reasons why we chose the hotel - we felt that that more could have been done to make it accessible - tape the glass, etc. So that was very disappointing, but overall a great property. We would highly recommend and we would return to again if we are in the area.

Parking is only issue, Downtown Memphis is has high crime rate and stealing the wheels off vehicles is common even in the areas with so called “security “. Not uncommon to see a car on “blocks “ when you get up in the morning. Drive a plain car or rental.

I liked everything about my room. It would have pleasing if robes were part of the stay.

The room was awesome... clean and comfortable I would say again

A comfortable and hospitable spot in downtown Memphis.

Another great visit to the Residence have stayed numerous times. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, clean, will be back Thank you

Friendly staff, clean. Our room was on the 4th floor with a stove, fridge and large bathroom. Comfortable bed. Just feet from the square, two blocks from the river. and a horse carriage ride from downtown. Good breakfast, and free food, beer and wine in the evening. Bar on the roof Thursday thur Sat. Safe area. Public parking real close.

We visited downtown Memphis for the purpose of attending my son's wedding. The wedding venue was directly across from the hotel. The entire staff was very friendly and efficient. It was definitely the right choice for my family.

If you need more space when you travel this would be the place to stay in downtown Memphis. Good breakfast provided by hotel and staff is friendly and professional!

Have stayed here numerous times, rooms are clean, central location, great breakfast in a.m, all off staff is friendly everyone there says hello, good job w that Management team!

Friendly staff, great room, lobby, roof top. Art deco charm. Wife really liked it!

Excellent staff - the MOST friendly - every single person I encountered from the valet, to front-desk, to housekeeping, to dining room staff, treated me like I was their old friend they hadn't seen in years! And, what a wonderful location! I walked almost everywhere + the area is very bike friendly.

First visit to Memphis to visit Graceland, Sun Studio, Stax, Beale Street etc. Had such a great time, friendly and professional staff. Stayed at hotel 5 days- complimentary breakfast was delicious. Included waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes. Walking distance to everything- Beale st- Rendevous restaurant, civil rights museum-Gus chicken. Hotel has rooftop area with lots of seating and great pic opportunities. Excellent place to stay!

Great location. Rooms need to be upgraded for the price they were charging per night. Staff was friendly and went above and beyond to help.

The hotel stay was average. I thought the hotel self parking was a bit inconvenient. Tho the valet parking avaiblity was great but with the price of a room their either free parking pass should be included having to pay for additional parking every time you leave during self parking is unesscary. Over all the experience was a positive one. The cleaning staff was extremely nice and deserves more recognition for their kindness than the registration desk people.

Great breakfast and staff friendly. Shared elevator with a hot water heater refrigerator and assorted remnant window dressings Maybe this old hotel doesn't have a service elevator? Overall ok

First time at Residence Inn in Memphis: Every detail - from valet, Lafayette, who met me at car, through Denise at check-in, to cleaning staff & Breakfast room staff, were exceptionally nice & helpful. Beautiful, newly renovated room.

Close enough to walk to most everything i wanted to see. And even closer to the trolley for when i did not want to walk. Food for breakfast tasty ; not special but just right for me. Staff not up on how to use the Metro bus. Seems not many people know the bus system. My best luck was with fellow bus passengers. I am a senior woman traveling alone. I visited Civil Rights Museum, River Walk, Sun Studios, Museum of Rock and Soul, W.C.Handy's home, Beale street clubs and shops, and the Peabody ducks, all by tram and foot. Bus took me near STAX and i cabbed back. Visited Graceland using a free shuttle from Sun Studio Bus and a mile walk took me to Cooper- Young . Walk or tram to Beale street and cab back when it is late. Lots of cabs and lots of security on Beale at night. Also free music in W.C. Handy park every afternoon.
