Ideal location between Melbourne CBD and St Kilda, hotel is @400m walk from tram stop & only @15 mins tram ride to Palais Theatre. Found room very comfortable, only 2 coffee sachets but 8 tea bags. Shower space roomy. Staff very friendly & apologetic as one of the lifts was out of action but not a big issue for us.

I was overcharged for my stay at View Melbourne, with an unexplained surcharge added to my bill without any prior notice. Despite following up, I received no response or clarification. The gym was tiny and felt like a box room, definitely not up to modern standards. One of the lifts was also out of service for several days, causing frustrating delays. Overall, a disappointing experience. I’d recommend staying at the Pullman around the corner instead, where service and facilities are much better.
