Pretty good value for money. Close to St Vincent’s hospital. Parking situation is a bit silly, you’re asked to double park other people’s vehicles in and leave your keys with reception. Reception staff were great. Very friendly and offer help when needed.
We stayed in a 2BR apartment which was really comfortable, clean and in a great location. Walking distance to loads of cafes, restaurants and public transport at the front door. Our check in was seamless and the lady that checked us in was fantastic! She was a really happy, genuine lady- ready to help with anything. We found this place by accident but will definitely be back! The rate was very good value for money.
Booked my room in advance as my husband was due to have surgery. Travelled 2 hours from the country, settled my husband into hospital and then went to check in. Upon arrival I realised I did not have my atm card, I had no clue where it was - I was unsure if I had left it back at home or if it had fallen out of my phone during the trip to Melbourne. I informed staff upon arrival to which they said that this would be an issue. Staff were NO help what so ever and was quite rude. My transaction the day before was declined which would have been because I had yet to move the money over to the account I was never told when the money would come out so I assumed it wouldn’t have been until arrival. I tried to Apple Pay from my phone which didn’t work as it the machine wanted me to insert or swipe. I asked if I could use my husbands card and was told no even though he was coming to stay the next night when he got out of hospital. At this point I was extremely frustrated and getting upset at the lack of help. I decided to leave and find somewhere else. Over to the quest who were more than helpful and understanding of my situation and let me pay book online using my card details and pay a bond instead of having a card on file. Way to leave someone high and dry, 2 hours from home with a sick husband in hospital.
Close to the shopping strip of Brunswick St Fitzroy and an easy walk to the famous Melbourne restaurant precinct of Lygon St Carlton. The check-in staff were helpful, our large room was comfortable and quiet and the breakfast ample at a reasonable price.
The 2 bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable. It is a short tram ride from the city centre which is why we chose to stay there. We have stayed there before and find it very affordable and convenient. I do recommend it.
Stayed here whilst attending a two day training course. Hotel room was comfortable and clean and very spacious. Reception staff member was very pleasant and helpful and I couldn’t fault. Breakfast was good without being exceptional but no complaints about quality. Location is great with plenty of variety on offer within a short walking distance. Would definitely recommend as an alternative outside the CBD.
Filthy furniture and room. The arms rests and backs lounge suite were black with dirt. The view from the kitchen window was of two air conditioning units and massive piles of pigeon crap. Walls were filthy and so too were the floors. After 9.00 pm there is no-one at the front desk and the help line takes you through to someone that has a standard answer of "I don't know". An absolute pig sty of a place.
I have stayed here before. This time we wanted the proximity to St Vincent’s Hospital. The rate was incredibly reasonable, and the staff were amazing. We arrived early, simply wanting to see if we could leave our bags while we went and visited a family member in hospital. They did better than that; in less than an hour they had our room ready. You simply can’t ask for more than that. We had dinner in the restaurant, and the meal was great. Again, cannot be faulted. Melbourne Metropole Central, you have ensured that I will continue to stay with you int the future.
Very convenience location, within walking distance to Melbourne CBD, or you can walk along the Brunswick St, enjoy a lots of sophisticated , distinctive shops, many cafes around corner and back streets with too many choices of delicious brunchs. The room spacious and comfortable, very clean. I will definitely stay this hotel again when I come Melbourne next time.
What a great place to stay. So close to casino's, food courts, underground passages, restaurants, and downtown Melbourne. The only issue was the arrangement of the bathroom to the sleeping area. There was a partial waal, not a separate room. I use a nightlight in hotel bathroom, and there was no way to keep the night light from permeating the sleeping area of the room. Very moderm. Great views/ . Very nice eating area, not just a desk chair.. I would stay again.
