I stay at The Olsen every time I go to Melbourne and the beds are to die for, so comfortable. The staff are more than helpful with any request and giving us directions and suggestion. From the minute we checked in to departure the staff were user friendly yet professional. I love the location of this Hotel so easy to get everywhere.

I have stayed in the Olsen a number of times. From their standard suites to the larger two bedroom suites, the hotel is a great. Location and service is a reason I keep coming back. However, in my recent stay, we chose the valet parking option and left the car outside the hotel. We left the keys with the reception, expecting the car to be parked immediately. Instead we got a call a while later stating that we had a ticket issued to us due to the car being left outside. The hotel has a small driveway which was already occupied, so did our best to leave it as close to it as possible. The team on the front desk were professional in handling this and upon check out, stated that they would take care of the infringement. We left the hotel satisfied with the resolution, looking forward to the next visit. This however did not happen. Instead I was charged a further $50 from the rental company who had to provide my details to the council for the notice to be sent to me, followed by needing to pay the infringement notice. If the hotel had advised at any point that they were not going to pay it, we would have done so ourselves, instead of incurring an added cost. The lack of communication and clarity is not expected from a hotel of The Olsen's calibre.

How lovely to return to The Olsen for a girl's weekend stay with my daughter. The staff are fantastic, friendly and very helpful. Our junior suite was perfect with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and the most comfortable beds imaginable. The rooms also included a small kitchen bar with stove and dishwasher. To be able to hire the Smart Kar topped off the experience for us. Very inexpensive and once we got used to the fact that the wipers and indicators were on the opposite sides to what we were used to it was very easy to drive. So much cheaper than the usual car hire. Based in a safe neighborhood with so many great restaurants nearby and easy access to the trams it is an ideal location. We would highly recommend a visit to the NGV for the Entombed warriors exhibition with the spectacular modern Chinese exhibition of Swarming Starlings and gunpowder. A unique exhibition and one of the best I have seen.

Ben is an awesome delight! His warm and sincere attitude dissipates the tiring flight journey. He is such an amazing ambassador of The Olsen. He is so sensitive to customers' needs to offer canvas painting for my 2 young children to help keep them occupied. The best reception I've every had in all our travelling trips! Bambang at Spoonbill restaurant is another amazing ambassador at The Olsen. He is very professional, proactive and helpful in helping with our birthday surprise. He sweeten the stay with complimentary drinks for our birthday dinner. His warm hospitality extends towards advising us on attractions to visit besides the sincere attitude shown at the restaurant. As a result, we spent more dining there than anywhere else. Great staff made a great difference! Alba is so energetic, cheerful & professional early in the morning! She made our last meal there so wonderful! She needs commendation too! Such a nice place to stay in because of the awesome staff! Kudos to the training and culture too! In fact, it's the best hotel service we have ever had, out of all the trips over the years. Will definitely recommend to others and visit again!

Stayed at The Olsen for 3 nights. The hotel is well appointed, with John Olsen's amazing artwork featured throughout the building. You can even purchase prints if you wish! Our room was was a Studio Suite Balcony which was situated at the back of the building. While there wasn't much of a view from the balcony, it was very quiet. We found the room to be a bit cramped, with nowhere for large suitcases. However it was very clean and the beds are so comfortable. The hotel is close to tram stops so it's easy to get into the CBD. It's also walking distance to Prahran markets which are amazing.

Highly recommend The Olsen. The staff are friendly and the beds and pillows are the highlight of the stay. It's a great location and handy to everything and great warm pool in winter and the staff are willing to help in any way.

Great location, close to all shops, restaurants, bars and cafes. Early check in was available when we got there. Room was very clean and comfortable bed. One downside - staff member was extremely rude when checking out.

Absolutely beautiful hotel clean and very accommodating lovely staff couldn’t fault a thing stayed two nights will 100% stay here again room was amazing 5 star luxury food in the restaurant was outstanding a bit prices but happy to pay for the quality

Thank you Nick and the team at The Olsen. We had a wonderful stay and were very grateful for the room upgrade. We were on the 10th floor and it was quiet and room was clean and very spacious. Check in and out was seamless and staff very attentive. Excellent experience. Thank you again for looking after us.
