We picked this because of location of what we needed, that was about all that was good. The counter top had a huge crack (like broken in half), there was a cigarette burn in the drapes even though it states no smoking and last but not least the chemical smells from the cleaning products were so strong My mom could not sleep. Thank goodness we were only there a night.
c close to my son at EFSC, clean, kitchen!, convenient to Wickham corridor and beach

Nice hotel, but my room smelled like smoke. They only do weekly housekeeping if you stay for over a week. One housekeeper didn't want to clean my room & when I requested she did not clean it thoroughly. Good location, nice front desk staff, comfortable bed, free laundry.
Good value-nice rooms for the money -excellent staff
It took me a little while to get back to reviewing this ... my apologies! I stayed at the Candlewood as it was close to the office I was visiting for the week ... I read the reviews and it sounded ok, the price seemed good and the location was good so I went in with earplugs for the trains and I have to say I was quite pleasantly surprised. It's a darn nice place - especially for the price. The room I had was next to the elevator and I have to say I hardly heard the thing... I did sleep with earplugs but I can't say that the nearby train noise was any issue. The kitchenette and fridge were great, the size of the room was awesome, the place was clean and the bathroom was actually quite nice. I have to say the mattresses could have been a little nicer, but comfortable enough. The whole place is non-smoking which was nice too. Oh - and I checked for bedbugs and I didn't find any sign of any in the room (I'm paranoid about that stuff!). It's a straight shot out the Pineda causeway to Patrick AFB or the beach so the location is really good. Plenty of places to find food nearby too. Overall I'd totally recommend it ... I go to Melbourne a couple times a year so I will be staying there again myself.
assistant general manager was the amazing person she made her experience wonderful
Everything was perfect except "no pool". This room was for my son for the week traveling out of town to visit family. He really could have used a pool on days he had nothing to do. Very disappointed in that one thing.
Overall good place. I stayed there by myself so things worked out fine, however, you must make your own bed, take out trash, etc. House keeping is once a week. The room was roomy, bed comfortable, staff very helpful, kitchenette had good size fridge, microwave and more. What I liked most was quietness.
Stayed here for almost a week to visit my kids. Enjoyed having the kitchenette so I could cook for them while I was there. The only thing missing is a pool, but the beach is only a couple miles away.
Enjoyed the stay. Will stop again if heading up or down I 95.
I needed a place to stay for just one night while visiting my parents locally.
The room was wonderful. It was fully set-up for a long stay. Close to restaurants and shopping. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Everything perfect ,very Comfortable, 5 stars. very good stay and very good treatment .. very good accommodation and nice staff !
Originally put in a smoking room. Five minutes later after they appologized for missing the no smoking request we were put in a very clean, very well kept and equipped non-smoking room (the smoking room was identical, except for reeking of cigarettes). We had a very small but very useful full kitchen including pots, pans, plates, silverware, bottle opener. We loved the room! There was no daily linen service but that was fine with us. We just exchanged towels as need at the desk (24/7). The greatest inconvenience was the power outage after the thunderstorm but that was Mother Nature, not Candlewood's doing. We WILL come again!!!
There is a "honor system" market full of ice cream / TV dinners for when I get back from work too late to hit a restaurant. Staff are friendly. Weekly room cleaning. Plenty of restaurants nearby. [...] Each room has a 30" widescreen HDTV and dvd player.
