Excellent hotel with friendly staff and rooms with full kitchen close to downtown Melbourne and lots of little breakfast cafes.

Clean, quiet, comfortable and art inspired hotel about 20 minute walk south of Melbourne CBD. I would happily stay here again. Easy access to frequently available public transportation, gardens and parks.

Nice restaurants downtown. Close to the CBD. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very convenient location no matter where you're going. Highly recommend the Blackman

The hotel features prints of one artist all over which is interesting but I decided I didn't really like the artist that much in the end. Rooms were of a good size and comfortable. The location is in a nice neighborhood but there is lots of construction going on so if you like to sleep late it might not work well. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. You are close to a trolley stop so it is easy to get around the city from their.

We found the staff to be very helpful and thought the location was perfect for exploring Melbourne. Liked the location slightly outside of city center.

beautiful rooms , convenient location , friendly staff

New hotel in St. Kildaa. Walk 100m to tram stop. 2 beds room is bigger than 1 bed one, even the refrigirator is bigger. (we got 1 each) Good body wash & shampoo, but the water just got everywhere after showers in both rooms. Wifi at good speed. (5mbps)

Very comfortable, great staff, room very quiet, nice views, art books provided, helpful front desk, very good restaurants in the hotel.

This was a great hotel! The rooms are very comfortable! The staff was the best! Only complaint is the bathroom needs a little more lighting over the sink. Shaving in my shadow all the time! Hotel in excellent location, close to museums and botanical gardens, and not far from downtown. One tram ride straight to downdown! We are not art lovers but this hotel named after famous Australian artist, Daniel Blackman, had many lovely pictures in the hotel. Golf course couple blocks away!! Would recommend this hotel to anyone visting Melbourne.

THE HOTEL STAFF were THE BEST- extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The king bed, pillows, bath robes and jacuzzi tub were heavenly!! Quiet location and very short walk to Melbourne's excellent tram system which takes you to, or links you to most of the tourist attractions. Stayed 10 days and sorry we had to leave the friendly people of Melbourne.

Stayed here for 3 nights during recent vacation to australia. Excellent boutique hotel with exceptional customer service. Called the night before and they were kind enough to reserve a shuttlebus to pick us up from the airport. In a quieter part of town just a short tram ride away from central business district. Highly recommended.

The hotel, the room, the staff was great. Absolutely perfect.
