(1) Excellent location. Direct access to the Holy mosque. (2) Being located North of the Holy Mosque means that you will not need to cross a street unlike the South side hotels. (3) Chick in process was efficient. (4) Staff are super friendly. (5) Despite high occupancy, Service was really good. (6) Rooms furniture is old and really needs renovation. (7) Breakfast is above average. (8) Windows on the Holy Mosque are small so it don't give the best view.

Quick easy check in. The lobby though had the scent of air freshener which is cheap and very nauseating i recommend changing it as some people can not stomach such scents. Location is magnificent you are literally right next to the Haram. There were some royalty staying and loads of royal guards are surrounding the entrance but that didn’t make any problems for entering and leaving the hotel, everything was calm and smooth. As an elite member i was given an honour of an complimentary upgrade to a deluxe room overlooking the haram mosque which is a greet privilege. The room itself is enormous in size than anything i been to before, the furniture and tv entertainment however are very basic and not that of a five star hotel. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom is very old and need renovating, but is tolerable and hot water is instant. Breakfast buffet is huge with loads of items from cold cuts cheeses to hot dishes and a bakery items. There seems to be huge emphasis on hot dishes and it is more of a brunch buffet than your traditional breakfast one. With that being said the quality of presentation is lacking , as they say it is not a "feast for the eyes", as well as most items being stale or hot items being a bit cold. So in terms of quantity and variety it defiantly wins, but for me personally i didn’t feel it is of a very high quality standards. The pan cake station though is one of the best i tried. I once went to the lounge to have some snack and coffee i sat down for more than 10 min and nobody showed up. On two occasions the bell boys where using guest elevators instead of the service ones to move around guests luggages wth their big carts, occupying the whole of the elevator, this was extremely annoying. Wifi is intolerable inside the room and not very smooth which was very inconvenient for work, but works better to some extent in the lobby. I complained to front desk and was told IT will look into it and they never came back to me! Upon checkout i complained again and they just apologised and removed the sparkling water (12 SAR) i had taken from the mini bar.

From the very first sight the hotel is a disappointment. The lobby area is far from a 5 star standar, it is old and simple. At BEST a three star standard. Check in process was not smooth. At check in we were given rooms on the first floor we asked for rooms higher up and were promised rooms on the 4 or 6 floor if we wait an hour or two. Upon returning 2 hours later, the staff had changed new reception staff was unaware of this promise and were not willing to accommodate our request. We had to escalate to management before we were given two rooms on the 4th floor. The rooms are sooooo poor and bathrooms are soooo old. Apparently the owners do not want to renovate as they are worried they may lose their location in the next expansion plans for Al Masjid Al Nadawy. WE had no internet, we called SEVEN times on our first night and kept being promised they will send someone up and no one ever came. Next day we went down and escalated to customer relations, who were very helpful, and within a few minutes someone came up and the realized it "really" was not working and so within an hour they provided us with our own router (if you do go and have similar issues be sure to push for your own router). The concierge is a NIGHTMARE. They know nothing, we asked about the working hours of a museum that is literally 100 m from the hotel and they gave us the wrong timing (we got the right one of the internet) they are not sure and don't try to find out, totally useless. They were not professional and were actually rude~ Reception staff was also not great, very rude. Public bathrooms (in the reception area) are not clean. I think basically there are some friendly and professional people there but you need to look. The one great thing is the location the hotel is right in front of entrance 16 to Masjid AL Nabawi. Having said this from my visit to Medina apparently the options are not that great and this is "almost" as good as it gets. However don't be followed with the name, look at other options. I wish we went for the Hilton or even the other Intercontinental we paid a 30% premium based on location and reviews and I can tell you it is not worth it the other two are few meters away and I know Hilton is a newer hotel.

The hotel location is very good 30 meters from the holly mosque Regular rooms size are good and the sweets are in a perfect size. The breakfast was good and dinner buffet was excellent. There staff were very friendly specially the duty manager Mr. Ibrahim Al Daboor was looking after the details of guests staying. Rooms furniture are over used even the hotel was renovated 2 years ago. Regards

I stayed in this property from 5th Oct to 9th Oct . I had booked a 2 bedroom executive suite Haram view. The check in did not have a separate counter for members and the staff on check in were quite welcoming. The room size was good but the furniture and sofas need updating and upgrading. The bathroom for sure need good upgrading as it still has the tubs which most find very difficult to use and the WC old fashioned . The shower control extremely difficult to control the water temperature I almost got burnt with the hot water which gushes out actually there was no cold water at all to achieve. the housekeeping staff were very friendly especially Mr Mohamad Shahid who was the most helpful and kind soul with a persistent smile on his face never saw a frown on his face from the day we checked in and always was ready to help with any request we had. indeed needs to be acknowledged. Mr.Kareem Gad the Guest relation officer was another gentleman who was very kind and hospitable and helpful he took special approval from the head to offer us complimentary dinner as well as being a loyal IHG member. The Hotel is near the HARAM only for the ladies gate 25 is extreme opposite to our hotel location and need a 10min walk at least. Check out had problems with payment bills and there was a confusion of the rate but Mr. Bassam who although took a long time to clear out doubts but was very polite and kind and tried his best to please us.

Hotel that is family friendly. We booked the 4 rooms suite that comes with a living area. Big and spacious. Walking distance to the grand mosque of Rasullullah. FOOD was fantastic. A very wide and variety of dishes. Only the counter service needs to improve.

This hotel is one of the most expensive hotels in Madinah. But I booked a room for an awesome deal. The hotel is well cared for and maintained, but our room which was supposed to be a Haram view room had a lousy bathroom with a really old shower head and gross bathtub. Upon arrival, which I supposedly asked for an early check in many days before, our room wasn't ready. We were told the room will be ready in an hour 11 a.m. I went to the upper floor and crashed on Couch till 11, but the room wasn't ready yet. It took the guy almost 20 minutes to get me a lousy room. The funny thing our buddies made a booking through Agoda and they got their rooms by 10:25 am. And I made the booking through IHG and supposedly an ambassador member got my room at 11:30 am. One more thing, upon checking in I asked for my complementary drink but the front desk guy, not an ambassador desk nor an IHG club members desk, dumped me telling me to see with the customer care agent. The latter dumped me by giving me a lame excuse:" only sapphire and elite members can get a complementary drink." What a humiliation! I felt like I am soliciting. I do take my time and think before doing anything; the next day I had a word with the duty manager and he was very professional and apologized for what the staff had said and offered me a complementary drink voucher. Then a few hours later I remembered that I haven't received my gift which I get from the InterContinental hotels, except Dar Al Hijra which is a disgrace to IHG, I dialed 0 and the nice lady answered because I called before but she wasn't around. I explained that I didn't get my gift and she said someone will contact me. But no one came, upon checking out, which the front desk guy wanted me to leave at 2 instead of 4 pm and I had to ask the duty manager to change it to 4, the customer service agent asked me about my stay and said that didn't get my gift, he picked the phone and got me a praying mat. By the way the same guy said he would contact me about adding breakfast to the booking but never did and I am sure some guests got nice gifts because it was the Saudi National Day. Bottom line, you have to ask for what's yours or you will never see it.

We visited Medina after completing Hajj in Macca. In Macca we stayed at a grand 5* hotel Hilton Suits. So when coming to this 5* hotel it felt small and dated. However the location is excellent as it is on the Haram of Masjid Nabavi. The buffet breakfast and meals have very good variety. For shopping you have plenty of markets and shopping malls around you. The hotel is near gate 16. It is about 8 mins taxi ride from the date market. Overall nice stay and best location.

Beautiful hotel, it's not brand new but we'll maintained with great location, great service and very close to both men's and ladies entrance of the Haram. The ladies entrance on this side does get full quite early which means that ladies may have to walk to the other side of the Haram, the ladies entrance for Salaam to Nabi SAW is also on the other side of the Haram

An amazing hotel with beautiful spacious rooms ... try to book a room with a haram view ... the parking is convenient is you are driving in... the staff are friendly and helpful. Don't miss the breakfast buffet.
