Gorgeous hotel with friendly and helpful staff. The room was amazing as were the public areas. One small complaint - the room AC was really noisy going off and on all night.

The hotel is beautiful, very good service. I wish I can come here during winter to see snow and ski. beautiful mountain. Truckee is a small town. This hotel is about 15 to 20 min drive from Truckee old town. beware that, in Truckee, ever thing close early. stores close at about 5pm. restaurant close about 8. There is nothing to do. after 8pm.

Staff was very courteous and was willing to make it the best experience as possible. The food in the hotel resturant was delicious. The hotel had many free activities that guest could participate in. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Beautiful resort nestled in the Sierra's. We arrived for an overnight getaway to celebrate our anniversary and got upgraded to a suite. The staff was extremely friendly and courteous...nothing but the best when you stay at a Ritz. We will be back!

My dad is handicapped. When we arrived at Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe, the handicapped parking was full. The stuff was very nice to waive the $35 overnight charge through out our stay. We did not have club level at first. We went into the club level lounge, the stuff was very nice to give us a tour, and offered $150 per night per room upgrade. Since there were 3 of us in a suite, it was quite a savings. The front desk at first told us the upgrade price would be $300 per night. After we explained, they ended up charging only $150 per night. Of course, I gave the gentleman a good tipping at the end. The adult swimming pool was very nicely situated and equipped. There were sauna and steam room, among others. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. It was very comfortable to swim in the afternoon. There were fruit drinks and snacks. There was an extra $20.67 on our bill at the end. I asked the front desk about it, and she said it was milk and others being charged by the restaurant. I told her we paid our bill by credit card, and it was likely that they charged someone else' bill onto our account. She was happy to remove it from our bill. Overall, we've had very good experience at Ritz Carlton Lake Tahoe.

Went to celebrate our anniversary in June. Beautiful spot, a little far from other restaurants and amenities, but worth the drive. On site restaurant was expensive and the food was fair, but great space and great staff. Would love to go back there during the winter.

From the moment we started up the hill to Ritz till we had to descend after our vacation, we were in Heaven!!

We arrived to excellent personal service. We had eggs benedict on the patio for breakfast. Service, views and staff all excellent!!

My husband and I spent a couple of days at The Ritz Lake Tahoe for his 50th Birthday. The staff was fantastic. Especially Jess!!! She went out of her way to make our stay special. Eggs Benedict on the patio of Manzanitta in the morning was delightful. Already planning another stay...

Upon arrival, the front desk gave us a beautiful room with a mountain view as I requested, however, it had only one bed for a family of four. When they offered to move us to a room with two beds and a non mountain view, I stated that is not what I reserved and they quickly resolved the issue. The room service and restaurants were expensive but good quality. The staff was very attentive and tried to remember everyone by smiling and saying their names. The spa staff was very accommodating and pleasant offering robes and slippers. The pools and hot tubs were great even when it was snowing. It would have been outstanding if there was poolside service for drinks. The ski shop on site was great so you do not have to rent skis and purchase lift tickets at the village below. Overall, it was a very nice stay.

For Skiers and Boarders, schlepping your gear around is often a hassle. At this hotel as soon as you pull up they whisk your gear away for you to their Mountain Concierge and it's ready and waiting for you when you are ready to hit the mountain, no carrying anything, no lines, no hassle! Same with returns! Awesome!! The rooms are also gorgeous and loved the comfort of the beds and the in-room fireplace! I also was traveling with my dog, this property is pet-friendly and the staff were wonderful to both of us!!

Fantastic place with incredibly friendly staff. Just a wonderful four days.

We only stayed one night to get rest after driving all day. They were soooo pet friendly that we felt guilty about having a pet with us. No one blinked an eye. Ive never traveled with a pet (small dog) and the experience was outstanding.
