Had a last second change of plans and chose this hotel for location to our destination. Wife had interesting exchange at check in but all was ironed out upon end of transaction. Checked into our room and after unpacking I looked up and saw mold on the ceiling. We told the front desk and they offered to move us to another room. My wife had to check 3 other rooms before finding a suitable room. The first replacement room was stinky, the second also had mold and the last one was an older room but we were running out of options and chose that one. The room was noisy as the hotel is right off of the highway. The pool was nice even though we only got to use it for half an hour or so. The complimentary breakfast was not spectacular at the least. I guess you get what you pay for. We needed a place to sleep and mission accomplished. I will say this for the safety of you and your family. The side entrance doors have a sign that reads, "doors to remain locked during business hours" and only hotel guest with key entry would be able to badge in to open the door, however, both the side doors were never secured and locked while we were there. Anyone could open the door as they pleased. In fact, one of the doors was actually taped around the lock to keep it from closing. Needless to say. We will not be staying here again. Plenty of other options around town.
Quality Inn of Pharr Texas is the hotel of my choice when in the McAllen area. It provides a very good daily breakfast and my personal accommodation desires are met with great professionalism. The location of the hotel is conveniently located. Close to business and restaurants.
Came down for a business trip for 3 nights. Staff is awesome! Mary, the hotel manager, goes above & beyond to accommodate every guest. Also, impressed with the great customer skills the breakfast hostess had. She'll help guests make waffles, pancakes & breakfast burritos. They serve a huge variety for a Quality Inn hotel: waffles, pancakes, tortillas with refried beans, fresh scrambled eggs with sausage, fruit (apples, bananas, pears, oranges & cantaloupe), pastries (cinnamon rolls, danish, croissants, plain & flavored bagels, White & wheat bread), yogurt, juice & coffee. WiFi speed is great, outdoor pool & spa, business center in lobby, & small fitness center for workout. Looks like they just recently underwent a small renovation in the hotel lobby with new flooring & guest rooms with new paint & bedding. Nice cozy beds with an option of hard & soft pillows. They even had a restaurant that'll deliver to your room with a huge variety of options. Great hotel for the price! Can't ask for more! They give you much more than what you're paying for, honestly. They even won a Gold Award for 2017 from Choice Hotels! Give them a chance to serve you in their hospitality!

The rooms at Quality Inn was a nice place to stay. The continental breakfast was great; waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, juice, coffee, and more. The pool and court yard were a place to hang out with the family.
I had came here for a family visit on thanksgiving weekend. It was very calm. Friendly staff. Minor improvements can be used but overall the hotel was exceptional. The bedding was amazing. I felt as if I was sleeping on a bed made of feathers. The hot continental breakfast was to die for. My stay overall was close to the best I ever had.
Room was ok, nothing fancy but all that is needed . Stayed 2 nights, 4 rooms. Staff was very friendly, breakfast was better than most and, rooms were clean but smelled a little like smoke. Overall a good stay.
It's a little ran down, but for the price and location, it's worth the stop! People are very nice here. Clean rooms, and AC works excellent. Coffee available all day and they have a nice pool in the back.
Very Enjoyable. I had made reservations for two rooms earlier in the week. One room was non-smoking, the other smoking. We wanted both to be non-smoking rooms but they only had one left when I made the reservation. When we checked in - the smoking room was really not bad in cigarette smells. I had brought along an air freshener and sprayed when we entered the room. I did not have to spray again for the two days we were there. Nice. Also the hotel was clean, the carpet looked fairly new, rooms very nice (only wish the TV stand would move). The TV’s are fixed so no movement. Beds were very comfortable, along with the 4-pillows on each bed. Swimming pool very nice and kids enjoyed it. Breakfast items normal at these places (Texas shaped waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, juices, etc). The front desk clerk (I wished I had gotten her name), who checked us in and also worked with us over the two days was a pleasure to work and talk to. I do know she came from Austin and has only been in the valley for about the last 6 years. It was nice talking to her and helping us with any questions or concerns we had. Made the visit to this hotel very pleasant and enjoyable.
When I first walked in I was greeted by friendly staff. Once I got to the room I have to say that I really liked it. I had requested non-smoking and that is exactly what I got. The room was very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The room is a little bland in appearance but that wasn't a big deal. The lady in the front was very nice and even told me good morning when I went down to get some breakfast the next day. That was another factor that I really liked. The free breakfast. The eggs weren't the best tasting but they had a waffle maker, cereal and some muffins and such. Overall my experience was very good and I will most likely stay there again.
