We have been to Torres Mazatlan a few times......once as a couple and twice with our teenage boys and my brother. Love that we can cook in our condo and there is always a lot going on to keep all ages and everyone busy. Happy Hour is awesome! Bus ride into town is always an adventure! The staff here are exceptional and the vendors as well. Nice to see the same faces every time we have been back. Slight complaint is we wish the bar stayed open past 11:00 pm......(last time we were here was actually Feb. 2016)
4 Bedroom Penthouse Suites with private hot-tub are incredible. Lots of recreational areas. Staff are fantastic! Great beach, volleyball, kids pool and large main pool. Great beach to walk on either way.
I have been going to Torres for 16 years and I found it by a paper on my fax it was the best fax I ever got because of it i found the greatest place I ever been to I do a lot of traveling but I come to Torres ever Oct to meet some friends that I met here from my first Vist and I consider the employee's here my family also every time we so up at Torres they say welcome home with a true welcome I will come here every year till I die it is such a great place you will not regret it there is nothing bad about it trust me ROCCO BKA RK
Fabulous viewing of the pounding waves and an awesome pacific sunset! Service is dynamic, and ready for your demands! Margaritas 2 for 1 until 6PM! Quesadillas are fresh and fabulous. Smoked marlin tacos -very tasty! But he fresh cut house PAPAS FRITAS are unbelievable!! More than one repeat!!
We had a spectacular time at this beautiful resort. Staff are fabulous and one would really miss out if they do not eat breakfast and enjoy the lovely dinner menu as well. It is close to everything either walking or cab if you are unable to walk. Great pool side games and so much fun painting the ceramics. Excellent location for long walks on the beach.
Went during August 2017 & it was HOT & HUMID!!! I don't really recommend going during summer due to heat & humidity but that's our schedule problem. The entire town is getting a facelift in preparation for some kind of official tourism conference type thing (taking place sometime in 2018) so the town will be nicer in late 2018. This resort (we went through timeshare) in small but beautiful. They have a very small workout room but we just walked the beach or swam in the pool (in mornings) for exercise. We enjoyed the pool from 8-10 in morning- water was warm but still very nice - only had approx. 10 other people in pool during that time on any day, very easy to enjoy. Never had a problem finding 2 chairs together. Room was authentic & very nice (concrete couch with cushions). Had a problem with A/C unit in first room, so they tried to repair it, then brought in 2 portable A/C units, then moved us to a different room when one came available. Staff was very nice! Asked about timeshare tour but not too pushy. Beautiful property. Easy access to beach - some folks went in beach but I wouldn't take children or poor swimmers into water there. Big waves and jellyfish warning flags were out. Small store on property, has just enough supplies available & not crazy overpriced- very convenient. Overall, a nice, small resort.
I have been an owner since 1999 and NEVER before has money gone missing during a stay with Vacation Internationale. It just felt like the blows kept coming starting with the general manager Ignacio C Añeso Vizcarra and his lack of compassion. Instead of apologizing that a crime took place he immediately defended his employees and asked why we didn't use the safe deposit box? He said that money has never been taken on his property in all of the years he's been there. He was unwilling to do anything to alleviate the financial burden encountered. Mazatlan Torres will feed your entire group a free brunch for six people so that you will be lured to buy or upgrade a timeshare but he wouldn't even offer a $10 gift card for the restaurant! He found us later to tell us The investigation was incomplete because the head of security Gabriel said we wouldn't let him look through the whole penthouse which was the first lie told. The second was that the money was hidden away in an envelope when in fact it was out in the open. There was no room for misinterpretation as one of my friends is fluent in Spanish being that his mother is from Panama. There were five $100 bills in the passport on the nightstand and two went missing. Ignacio also let it slip that theft was a rare occurrence. So which is it? Does theft never happen or does it rarely happen? I can speak for the integrity of my group of friends and family that were with me. I cannot speak of the integrity of Mazatlan Torres! I will not be returning there and I urge everyone to reconsider this location as a vacation destination.
Well dear travelers, this is a Time Share ONLY Exclusively accessed facility. BUT OMG it is spectacular! I can and will say many many good things about Torres Mazatlan. Yet only one thing i didn't like. The tiny sugar ants up as far as 4th floor. There is nothing they can do about them, but gee no signs or bug traps or abatement seemed apparent. We just kept the counters and floors wiped of juice ect.... EVERYTHING ELSE IS PERFECT AT TORRES MAZATLAN. The place is guared like fort Knox. If you aren't official, you don't get in. ALL the staff is spectacular. Everyone who works there seems well taken care of and thus they take of us! Everything is beyond clean, well manicured grounds, the view from every building from every angle is spectacular. The restaurant is AMAZING! We went TUNA fishing and brought back 20lbs extra for our favorite staff members AND the Restaurant cooked up a HUGE SPECIAL Tuna platter for us complete with sauces and grilled Veggies. I even invited my dentist and his wife (as I was partially down there for some major dental work). They graciously let them through the gate, (You have to give them a Heads up in advance for special guests via the front desk who informs the gate) Yes yes the dinner Beach side was THE BEST Their are a handful of "pre approved" beach vendors also who hover near the beach entrance. My favorite was "Jesus the Sunglasses guy." He is funny as ever! A couple guys show up every morning with big fat fresh (or freshly thawed) shrimp. Yeah they claim its off the local boats but the season was closed but who cares. They were HUGE shrimp and yes you can barter for them also. If you have a kitchen suite then there is a little store onsite which for as small as it is carries most everything you need without have to take the cab to Wal-mart miles/kilometers away. Items like butter and spices to cook the shrimp to ALL beer, bevs, liquor, sun lotions and other medi-potions, tourist trinkets or gift for back home, towels shirts and well just about every basic item a vacationer needs on a whim. Great tennis court, there is a smoking Cabana which (THANK GOD) Keeps the smokers away from the pool. They have a nice towel service with nearby Activity concierge and Massage outdoor tent too. Separate negotiation. Book Early. There is a small gym onsite and a storage room for luggage in case of lag time between check out and Flight time. BTW, plan A LOT of extra time to get to/from the Airport. Torres is quite a way up the beach from town and of course the airport. I could never figure out WHY the heck they built the airport so oh SO far away from town. Listen, Torres Mazatlan is THE BEST PLACE! Its not to small and not too big. Forget RUI, to big and overpriced. I met a fellow Duck at the pool. Inside secret. He finds people who can't use their time that year and he chips in or pays heir "Maintenance fees'. Then he stays in Perfect paradise too! Okay, our little secret! Anyhow AMAZING PLACE, hope to be oh so fortunate to go again.
Stayed at this lovely beachfront resort for a week and had a great time. Beach was long, very walkable, clean, and great waves. Large pool surrounded by lounges and palapa, and a nice lawn area if you want some quiet time too. Room was well equipped and clean and had a fabulous view. Ate breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and food was delicious. For those who don't drink alcohol they make a killer limonada. Drank them every day around the pool. Service was outstanding and we will be back!
This was not a destination that was high up on our list of must do's but man were we pleasantly surprised! We had the opportunity to spend a week at Torres Mazatlan through our timeshare as it was a 'cheap option' for a quick getaway. We were greeted by super friendly and accommodating staff and a large 1 bedroom condo style room with a beautiful ocean view. Well laid out resort with 4 buildings all facing the ocean. The Palapa restaurant and bar had great menu choices, very reasonably priced with something for everyone. Local Mexican fare, burgers, sandwiches, lovely fresh salads and happy hour twice a day where drinks were 2 for 1. We typically stay at all inclusive hotels when in Mexico so we were not sure what to expect eating at the same restaurant for the week. Again, pleasantly surprised with good quality, great choices and reasonable prices. Loved the shrimp dishes - shrimp stuffed avocado was amazing as were the imperial shrimp- yum! Grounds were lovely offering a pool with loads of seating options, restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, BBQ's, laundry, tennis courts, running track, activities area, patio area with convenience store and a gorgeous sandy beach where you can walk at least 30 minutes in either direction. The location is very central with 3 buses that run directly into the Golden Zone consistently - great for those wishing to check out the sites, shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel and we will be back! Thank you to all the incredible staff that made us feel so welcome!
