Our AC was right over our head ... to noisy. I'm actually surprised that no water dripped on us as the entire AC unit is mounted in the room and not extended to the exterior of the walls. Bathroom was small. Wife says not enough space around the sink. We only had room for a tube of tooth paste and a toothbrush. Overall, I'd pay a little more to get a little more. Parking was a challenge as well.
This was the cheapest hotel listed, with good reason. I encountered 3 roaches during my 2 night stay and was woken up by a rooster outside my room at 5:15 am. The beds were comfortable and it is very close to the ocean though.
Insufficient parking on premises. Dirty shower floor. Dirty pillowcases. Tiny room.
We loved the overall vibe in Kihei. Hotel is located near many restaurants in walking distance. Our room was only a one minute walk to the beach. Room was a bit small for our extended stay, but bed was comfy and room was clean.
Only one night but a good stay; good location but crowded parking lot
Enjoyed my stay, stayed before and didn't snorkel or swim, was out sightseeing most the time, this last trip I did some sight seeing and enjoyed the beach and snorkeled had sunset dinners at both restraints, I will definitely be back I've been to Mexico beaches. And Florida, California beaches, this location is in the top of my list. I have stayed at 5 star hotels I would rather stay here and enjoy what this location has to offer, beautiful just beautiful. I could complain about the little things but it's not going to effect the fun you can have here.
I chose this hotel for its location and it is located in a quiet area with a lot close by. I like the beaches its close to. The room we stayed in was small and had basic amenities. The bathroom was very small and needed a new sink/vanity. The comfort of the bed was very good. We could hear the people next to our room very clearly and I'm sure they could hear us. I spent most of my time talking quietly, especially in the morning since I'm an early riser and didn't want to wake up the couple staying next to our room.
Perfect beach, Nice hotel but Tiny rooms that can be at least maintain better.
This hotel is right on an excellent swimming beach--the type of location typically reserved for 5-star hotels. It was amazing to be able to wake up and see the ocean out of our window every morning, walk out to the beach to watch the sunset, and lie on the sand watching for shooting stars right before crawling into bed. West-facing rooms have an ocean view, although the view of the beach itself will be blocked by the roof of the building just below you unless you splurge for one of the few rooms right on the beach. We were in room 227, in the Hawaii building. Room 226 had a slightly better view due to the section of the next building's roof that room was facing. Speaking of bed, the bed was fantastic. I didn't think I liked Tempurpedic mattresses but I was apparently wrong. We both slept like logs. Very supportive, but also cushy enough for sleeping on my side. Our room was quiet, since we had requested a 2nd floor room away from the parking lot. Walls are thin, though, so pray for quiet neighbors. The only two complaints we had were: (1) the shower--very low water pressure and inconsistent hot water, and (2) the sparse supply of coffee in the room. There was a Keurig coffee maker but we were only given one serving of regular coffee and one decaf for the two of us. There was also no half and half, only fake creamer. Fortunately, the pot of coffee we found at the hotel's front desk every morning was quite good (although there was only fake creamer there as well)
Room was too small to spend any time in, but the beach in front is fabulous. Two of us could barely navigate in the room. Every space was like a one way street.
I was little scare to stay on this hotel because of some bad roaches reviews But honestly My first impresión was that the room that we got was very clean! Ee did't see any incets at all, also I love that the bathroom has a window!
It concerned the traveler and allowed to check-in earlier than 3:00PM.
We are very impressed with the Days Inn Maui Oceanfront! My wife and I decided we needed to get away on the cheap, so we found a good package containing this hotel and a good non-stop flight to the island. I had seen this hotel listed in the past, but was wary of it. Who stays at a Days Inn when going to an exotic destination like Maui? Well, from now on, that person is me. This place was worth it, and maybe worth even more than I paid. The hotel is right on the beach; you can literally walk out of your room, past (at most) 12 other rooms, and be on the beach. There is a nice public grassy area between this hotel and the one next door. It's perfect for hanging out in the shade if you've had too much sun on the beach. It was great being able to just say "I feel like swimming" and heading to the beach for a few hours, then back to the room when the sun gets overbearing, then right back to the beach when you're ready. Most places I've stayed at in Hawaii, you make the beach a day-long event. Here, every day was a beach day. It's also a leisurely 8 minute walk along the shore to the Kihei boat ramp. Most boat tours out of Kihei go from this ramp, so it's super convenient. I highly recommend one of the RIB snorkel tours. Overall, this place was great, and if the low price is scaring you, quit it and take the plunge. This place is just as clean and friendly as any other budget hotel in the islands (RIP Maui Lu).
Second time here at this hotel. For me easy to get everywhere ie: driving to various part of island.
Marvelous experience. First class all the way. Clean rooms. Close to beaches. World class location. Wonderful staff.
The hotel's location is great. It's right next to the beach and very scenic. The room has most of the required amenities. However, the air conditioner was very noisy. The safe's lock was broken. When I informed the front desk about it they said they would send someone to take a look. But neither got fixed in the 5 days i stayed. There are only 2 dining options within walking distance and the rooms are small. If you want an economical hotel close to beach, this hotel is a good option. Better to choose this if you have a car.
My daughter and I stayed the night and was very pleased because it convenience. Great restaurants are close by so we just walked. It was just what we needed.
MY EXPERIANCE WAS AWESOME THERE. MUCH ALOHA.. MOST OF THE TIME MY FRIEND AN I SPENT ON THE BEACH AREA , WE DID GO FOR HAPPY HOUR AN HAD SOME AWESOME COCONUT SHRIMP.. THERE IS SHOPING JUST 10 MINUTES AWAY , SHOPS AT WAILIA ,ESPECIALLY MAUI CLOTHING COMPANY GO CHECK THEM OUT ,THERE ARE MANY COOL CLOTHES AN SWIM WEAR TO CHOOSE FROM... AN HAVE A ALOHA TIME
Great desk person. Air conditioner was really noisy. I was just there for 6 hours waiting to go to airport, but the hotel wouldn't give partial day rate.
Great no frills hotel for great price. I would recommend
