Wonderful and convenient hotel with very easy access to everything. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Fantastic

The hotel location is wonderful, great backdrop of the old town while providing a wonderful Italian breakfast that offers tasty pastries and wonderful lattes. Some areas of color for those traveling as a family w young children. The pool and spa facilities do not permit children under the ages of 18 while third parties such as Orbitz / Expedia offer conflicting details on this topic. Separately, the hotel features rooms that are marketed as “ separate buildings” but fails to suggest this means these select rooms are also “off site” and within a 3-6 minute walk away from the property / hotel which leaves you isolated away from the hotel which was not pleasing upon arrival. The first evening, our room had a poor AC system which only cooled a select part of the room while we also experienced no working AC. The hotel was very accommodating to resolving these matters and their owner offered us a nice suite the next evening to offer his gratitude for the poor experience the evening prior. Overall, a nice stay at this hotel which offers transportation from the in-town garage to the hotel which is a nice perk.

We wish we could have stay longer. The room, breakfast and staff were very, accommodating, delicious, professional and pleasant. Grazie!

This hotel was the perfect way to experience the old city of Matera. It is close to some restaurants and cafes and a short walk up to the main square and Matera. But the real allure is just being there in the old city. I am really glad I stayed there and not somewhere else in Matera just to save a few dollars. The pool is all so incredible, much bigger than it looks in pictures. The hotel staff was also friendly and helpful and the breakfast in the morning is excellent.
