Wonderful! This is the most unique hotel we’ve ever stayed. Matera is pretty special and this hotel 💯 adds to the charm. It’s old world feeling but with all the modern things we love. A great common area, daily (and plentiful) breakfast and beautiful patio to enjoy their wine and charcuterie. They welcomed us with a glass of wine which was classy after a long car ride. Great bedding/pillows/towels and daily housekeeping. We slept with our window open every night (3 total) and you could hear a pin drop the town is so quiet. Convenient to everything and lots of good restaurants close by. I would use their car service recos … we used Uber and they are not as familiar with Matera which is difficult to drive, park etc.

Spectacular property with helpful staff. Unique, imaginative room and bath arrangement. For us (me 82kg and my spouse 66kg) the bed was very hard and difficult to sleep on. This is a personal preference however, and a very, very firm bed may be preferred.
