As you enter the building it hits you it looks smaller than from outside and when you ascent to your floor the picture get even smaller, in a room it is just like a definition of a small space, one could say. I had to use this hotel as the last option and due to its price and pictures provided on its website it did not look that bad. Well, it was terrible. I spent there only one night and I was lucky, I must say. First glimpse of the room was just bed and walls and coldness. The main room consists of bed, small desk, closet and on-wall TV. It is accompanied with a small bathroom accessoried with washing-tube and toilet and wash-basin, nothing special. All looking clean and readily available, but ... First slap into guest´s face is the fact, that there is no ceiling light in the main room (!), the only wall light is in the short narrow sort of entrance mini-hall. Then, only two bed minilamps and one small lamp on the desk. That´s it! When it gets dark outside with city lights on, you can enjoy practically the same feeling even in your room if you like or not. Number two special feature: It was the last of November 2016 and some heating could help, right? Well, let´s check this feature of the hotel: There is a small extra heater in the bathroom which can produce some heat but in change for noise and smell as it is an old one electric heating systems. And the main room? The architect should be punished as there is some kind of air conditioning with the breath out mounted under the ceiling in the entrance mini-hall. Generally, as the warm air rises up through the room, the circulation of the air and thus warming of the air can be processed – well, if the heating is mounted somewhere in the lower part of the room height. Here it is not, as mentioned before, that is why the warm air can´t rise up and heat the air inside, here it is being loaded right under the ceiling, so down there where you sit or sleep, there is still cold and if you stand up, your shoulders and head are only feeling the heat. Number three special feature: Trying to get the right temperature of the water you wash yourself can be painful. Sometimes literally as the difference between really hot and almost not warm is about one milimeter of the tap lever, which isn´t smoothly movable though. Number four special feature is the superb one in the contrary to all previous ones. On the desk there is sort of plate with a mini-kettle! Two paper cups with lids and some one-shot teas and coffees and sugar included. Excellent feature, especially when the heating sucks! It was like buses you can know from capital cities – hop in/hop off. Staying at this hotel was just like using such buses, I hop in around eight p.m. and hop off after eight a.m ... luckilly! And one extra feature on top of that – a password for the wi-fi is applicable for one month length, so when you come as I did, it ends by the midnight and for new one you have to go to a reception to ask for it the next morning.
Clean small rooms.monotonous same breakfast menu. The wifi is good and fast. Good for business travels. The surrounding area under maintrnance. The restaurant times are restricted. Not suitable for family trips at all.
it is in edge of city and it is a bit hard to find specially if you do not know french , it was ok for 2 night but so far from city center and it cost 45 euro by taxi to orly airport so do not thing is cheap and it will cost same amount to get to orly by train too , and they are not operative after 12 pm until 7 am so if you fling in night you need to use taxi , this hotel is ok but nothing spacial it just ok to stay it that is all
The hotel could not be reached because the street pavement was open duet o restauration of the street. This can happen. The only thing was that it was NOT on the hotel web site and there was no way to get near tot he hotel. The only option was to walk for 250 meters wit hall our gear (full vacation package). When I explained to the manager that this was a problem, the only response I got was that she had bigger issues with power and the phone line snot working. When I explained again that dragging all me gear through the ruble, she told me that I could take the room or not take the room and that there was no change on a refund. Refund or no refund, there was not an option for us to stay so we took our loss. I would like to express my great disappointment in the way the manager handled my issue. I have decided never to a room in an Accor hotel fort he rest of my life.
My staying at this hotel wasn't that great. I got bitten by bed bugs. I am even taking medicins. But to be fair, I haven't talked to the staff about that as I left the hotel early. So I am not sure how they would have reacted. I would avoid staying there!
What I liked: Room was large enough, room to move around and not stumbling over your luggage. Very good, very efficient restaurant service. Was seated quickly, and not kept waiting to be served between entree/meal/desert. Staff not friendly, but very efficient and I could see who appreared to be a manager type, helping out cleaning and setting tables and assisting the waiter/waitress in doing some of their tasks so that they therefore had time to better serve the customers. Free wifi and a bottle of water in the room What I did not like: Bathroom sink, orignially blue, was old cracked ceramic and now turned white at from age. No water pressure in the shower and poor drainage of the tub. Holding the showhead vertical was absolutely useless.as the water just ran down the handle. Put it to massage mode to get some useable water. On top of that, the tub drained poorly so you standing in the opposite end of the tub to avoid standing a puddle by the end of the shower. Very poor room lighting. The only room light was from 2-25W bedside lamps. This is all you get for a 15m2 plus room. What was so-so: The food; restaurant food had a decent selection, decent price and very very bland tasting. Not great, not bad. It was not expensive really, but you got what you paid for. The breakfast has unliminted coffee and a cold breakfast buffet like many of hotels of this class. The hard boilded egg was so unappetizing I could not finish it, but the rest was fine. Plastic cups and and soft packets of hair/body gel rather than something more solid. It felt like a two star hotel trying to be three stars, or more like a three star hotel, that has not been kept up, let slide, and now with time, feels more like 2 stars. For the price I paid I expected better. The best weekend rates from the booking sites seemed more appropriate price for this place, wereas the weekday rates are overpriced. Next time I am in this area, I will choose a different hotel in this same range.
On the 5th August in the early hours of the morning, a nurse from the Jaques Cartier Hopital very kindly brought us to this hotel and helped us to book in as we spoke very little French. One of us had been an emergency patient in the Hospital. That morning our insurers advised us to book flights back to Manchester. This was an impossible task for us as we spoke no french and had no computer. Mohamed who worked on the reception gave us the best attention and booked our flight for us and a taxi to the airport. His help was invaluable and was done with great patience and a lovely smiling, helpful manner. We shall always remember his kindness and as a result would recommend any one to use the Hotel Kyriad Massy.
Bed bugs in most of the rooms!! That is disgusting! Woman from breakfast were rude to all of us, but to French guests she were super nice and smiling... Housekeepers doesn't speak even simple English and may come to your room while you're sleeping without knocking! Rooms are really dark, walls are very thin so you can hear everything that happens around... The only good thing is pretty fast wi-fi and 8€ meal that you can order on reception. But better go to the nearest restaurant 'La terrassa'. Good location. Less than 1 minute walk to the opera, cinema and grocery store. And around 15 mins to the RER station, so in 30 mins you'll be in beautiful Paris.
This hotel is a typical European hotel. Nothing fancy, small room. It was about a ten minute walk to the Metro station which is a straight shot into the heart of Paris. Not too bad during the day. However, the area is not great and so walking back from the station to the hotel at night would be scary I think. We took a cab directly to the hotel door at night.
+ : Friendly staff, very nice, modern room. Airco. Waterkettle with coffee, thee, biscuits in the room. Bathtub but with possibility to take a shower. Water warm enough. (very warm, watch your children). Individual heating in the badroom. Breakfast very good and sufficient. Breakfast room is large enough for groups but when your group is very big, it might be better to go in shifts. Some rooms have dividing doors, very nice when travelling with children. I don’t know about parking because we came by bus. Nice lobby to sit in on both sides of the front desk, but no bar. Across the street there is possibility to have drinks late at night. There’s a big, nice, friendly café. You can also eat there. The market square has a big parking lot and has shops if you need anything. Carpeting the rooms. - Front rooms can be very noisy because of the market square in front and people making noise at night. I wouldn’t go for a late night stroll. Neighbourhood looks a bit grimm. (but maybe I’m not used to that). Door between rooms is nice when you have children, but isn’t soundproof ! Ask for unconnected rooms when you want to be sure because you really can hear a paper being torn in the other room. No mini fridge in the room.
