I went on a business trip between 3rd and 6th July and stayed at the Novotel Massy. The hotel is around 12 minutes from the RER train station on foot and a couple of minutes longer for the TGV station. The rooms are fairly standard medium/high class with the facilities you expect with a free bottle of water in the mini-fridge. The issues I had were more to do with the service. On arrival it took quite a while to check in, the room wasn't allocated as it usually is and I didn't receive the complimentary drinks voucher from the status level. That said when I arrived it was too late to resolve but each time I went past front desk it was always occupied with a guest asking questions so didn't push this point. This hotel seems to work with tour operators and so each morning there were large groups staying there that swamped the breakfast facilities. With a large demand, some of the basics kept running out. Having one staff member dedicated for looking out for levels would probably resolve this. This may have been unfair as the levels of customers were high but 2 out of 3 days there was no-one at the waiting area for the breakfast and each time had to wait for quite a bit of time, which is scarce on a business trip. One night I got back after midnight and found the car gate closed. We tried using the intercom to reach someone inside but after 10 minutes decided to jump the gate. Please consider some customers will not have cars! Check out also took 15 minutes as there were two computer terminals, a large queue and a number of customers with seemingly difficult queries.
What you expect from a Novotel. Rooms good and food reasonable. Service in bar & reception could be better at busy times. Shame you have to pay €5 a day for parking. Just a rip-off, when I am paying over €500 for 2 nights
One night stay whilst visiting local business district. Nice ground floor room overlooking pool. Room had been recently modernised and was fine. Air con was OK (It was very hot outside). Food and drink were OK.
A good room with an upgraded bathroom, but totally let down by the terrible state of the carpet and the fact that the air conditioning didn't work. Lots of evidence of a total lack of quality control. A broken lid on the kettle, chewing gum in a rapper not cleared up from the bathroom floor, dirty top on the bathroom mirror etc etc. Staff were very pleasant but all in all it was clear that the management of this hotel was sadly lacking.
Pathetic services. AC is not working and they have 30 fans for 148 rooms. The reception guys don't even respond. They ask you to sleep with the windows open and seems they really don't know that there is a building besides the hotel which is under construction and the heavy machinery noise will wake you up at 6 AM. Novotel : you need to improve your services. If you continue like the services in this hotel, Novotel Massy, Paris, I am sure you are going to loose your goodwill. I was thinking to get a good night sleep after a long and hot day but you guys have ruined it. Train your staff on how to respond to customers and this is your primary objective to serve them but seems you are least interested. The coffee machines at breakfast are closed earlier than the closure times and the breakfast items finish before the closure. Why do you really offer breakfast? I am very unhappy with your services and so were the 12 other families which came as a group with us.
I have always liked this hotel and its restaurant. However i arrived on a hot evening and the room was scorching hot. The hotel air conditioning was out of order and thats it! I spoke to the manager and try to raise a complaint but the only solution was to open the window (which by the way is opposite the motorway) What a nice experience when you have to get up early in the morning and go to work! This is not acceptable in a 4 star business hotel!
In summer, no provision for AC or fan when the room temperature was unbearable. Staff was extremely rude and did not help at all. Clearly said there is nothing we can do. When we opened the windows as last resort we could not sleep whole night due to mosquitos. Had worst experience and will not advise anyone
The Novotel is very convenient for the business area in Massy. Rooms are comfortable and well fitted out. There is a restaurant and bar available as well as an outdoor pool. The breakfast is top class, but be early if the hotel is busy. Express checkout is the default - very efficient.
I stayed 3 nights at the Novotel Massy Palaiseau and I was satisfied of the quality of service. The staff at the reception and at the restaurant is kind and helpful The room is clean and the bed's mattress is really comfortable. The restaurant has really good choices of dishes. The beef entrecote XL is my recommendation together with the chocolate mousse. I was disappointed that the egg mimosa were never available for order and I would stay away of the prawns,
Excellent service and rooms as seen on several hotels from Accor branch. The customer attention is very good, rooms perfectly clean and warm to sleep and relax. Restaurant food selection is ok and wine/beers too. Nice breakfast in the morning, and easy access to TGV by a walk distance. Thanks!!
