Reception staff friendly, nice full size bath, super comfortable bed. Had to go up 4 flights of stairs to get to room as there is no lift. Hotels surroundings not very salubrious.

There was nothing to like. Run down, dirty, pictures are not even of the outside of the property, room pictures are photoshopped. No lift or offer of help to 3rd floor. More like a halfway house, the street it is on is filfthy, rats, rubbish, drugs, dangerous people, very frightening. Don't go seriously. Staff not warm or welcoming and certainly don't care about your stay as long as they have had your money.

Clean, small, great location and polite staff.

The hotel is on the main street from the train station so you just go downhill the street- like five blocks- and done! To go to the port is also extremely easy in like seven blocks away. The area where the hotel is located at it’s more local than turistic and there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants at economic prices (example: one bottle of 1.5liter of water €1 vs. 1/2liter bottle of water by the turistic area from €2-3 !). The hotel DOES NOT HAVE ELEVATORS like is typical of the buildings in europe (unless it was builded in recent years). If you want a third towel you just need to ask. One thing that I found annoying way that I only got one tiny night stand and a chair. There was no table to put my stuff and although there was a walk-in tube hanger, there were no hangers so I was not able to hang anything. The facility does clean your room very good and leave you soap, shower gel and small shampoo sample size packet. The wifi is good, the staff does speak English, there is amazing air conditioning and tv in the room too. If you are ok with being in a more local neighborhood than turistic area, this will be good for you. It gave me the impression that there is a large Turkish/middle eastern community on that main street. The people at the hotel were very polite and helpful.

Excellent location, easily walkable from train station late night. Friendly office person to check in. However, had to hike 3 levels stairs 3 times, since key wasn't in door as first informed. 3rd hike was to retrieve the AC telecommander. Whew!

Happy stay in this charming older and typical Marseille hotel for four nights. The hotel is close to La Canebierre (main thoroughfare) the old Port, and just three blocks down from main rail station (Gare Marseilles St Augustin) where I caught the daily shuttle bus to the Le Castellet French GP F1. My room was up three flights of 20 stairs and there is no elevator but the hotel makes this clear in the property notes - it was good exercise - and with all that is available and happening in this dynamic city I only did this once per day. Good value for money, clean and comfortable for my stay. Plenty of local restaurants and public transport (metro and trams) nearby. Friendly and helpful reception staff only speak French but are always willing to assist. Housekeeping staff spoke English and translated more complex requests. WiFi strong and good internet speed.

Poor facilities. Very erratic Wi-Fi. Television was terrible with very limited range. A positive is it's location to the marina and shops. A good chamber maid. Would not recommend to anyone.

Had to book a last minute room in Marseille, was very happy to find something so close to La Cannebière. The staff was very helpfull, and even let me borrow a phone charger free of charge. I did not try the breakfast so I do not know if its good too. A little coat of fresh paint in the stairwell would be nice, but it will not provide you from resting. As many hotels around, ther is no elevator, so take that in consideration if you are handicapted.

Le lit grince à chaque mouvement, les rideaux sont tous cassés, l’hôtel est très bruyant mal insonorisé, un ami voulait passer me voir avant qu’on aille boire un verre il n’a pas pu rentrer. Ça sent l’humidité dans la salle d’eau et j’ai payé la chambre très cher 152€ la nuit un 21 janvier donc je suis très mécontent !
